Wrong place. This is the Sprint version. Ask in the international thread.

Pit files are partition structures. It won't restore anything. A reset won't restore anything either. Your best bet is getting the current stock firmware for your phone and flashing it with odin. You don't need a pit unless you have screwed the partitions up. But as Daniel said this is the wrong forum. Don't use anything from here or you will likely be bricked.

Odin question

i was running rooted EB13... was having some random issues pop up and decided to wait for EC05 to push out so i went back to DI18 using odin. however i did not use the pit file. everything SEEMS find but i'm wondering wtf the pit file even does?
I think the .pit file tells Odin where everything goes. I think it's unnecessary for some rom images, which have it built in.
(I may be wrong, though)
I've never used a pit file for any of the times I've odin back to stock. I don't really think u need it

Use the odin version and odin manual you find here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104988
I'll take a look. Thanks
I've noticed that from recovery, when I choose to reboot into Bootloader, I get the fuzzy screen continuously.
What is rebooting to the bootloader supposed to look like?

The original recovery has no "reboot into bootloader" option.
Dude... use a stock samsung rom, use the odin I give on that page and use odin as written in the manual you find there.

Ok, i'll give that a try now. I didn't know it had to be a certain version of Odin.
Thanks
Still no luck.
Looks like it's stuck like that.
Thanks for your help anyway.
I've also noticed that after flashing stock firmware via Odin, the phone stays stuck on the bootloader, unless I do a factory reset in recovery.
EDIT: I've also just noticed that according to the link below, I am flashing the wrong firmware, but I downloaded the UK stock N8010 firmware from Sammobile. Strange.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016792
Still no luck. I guess I'll have o cope with it for now. I'll eventually send it to get fixed.

You can look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268735
You can use my batch file N8000_SaveMyPitfile.zip or N8020_SaveMyPitfile and send me or post the pit file result for control.
As you can see the batch make only a copy of a little portion memory of N8010
So i can verify it (if it is completed for ex.) post it as regular n8010 pit file and post new batch for save my pit file of N8010 16GB!
If you still need the pitfile, I've ordered a red note 10.1 wifi only 16gb. (which is the n8010, I think)
It will arrive this Friday or Saturday; if I'm at home to open the door, that is.
So it might be Monday or later (I'll try to keep you posted)
I'll install a custom recovery and get root anyway. (Is there TWRP for it?)

If so you would be my hero. :good:
Somehow I have broken my GT-N8010 a few days ago and I've been trying to find a pit file since that day, so I would need this pit file too, please.
Regarding your question about TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133920
What version of Odin have you tried?
Actually, you do not need a pit.
Please boot into recovery (Vol-Up + Power + Home) and tell me what your CSC is.

I'm currently at work, but will have a look when I'm at home.
But as far as I found out, an update via PDA File from Samsung (Stock FW) didn't change anything.
Also all tips on other threads:
- Wipe data /Cache, Dalvic Cache, System and so on changed nothing.
It freezes at the Boot Image "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1"
Best Regards

( Solved )SGS4 DO NOT ACCEPT formate or replace the Rom

Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings
I got SGS4 4G version. Since buy almost two months ago. I install recovery and root of the device and everything is normal. Before a few days I decided to update the device and installation of another rom available. Through the program of Odin in the first attempt appeared following problem: 'there is no pit partition.'
discussed the problem, and found that I must add a pit file during setup the rom. I did it, but there is a problem again :
'Complete write operation failed'
Solutions i make it:
trying to install more than 3 different rom.
Change Computer
change cable usb and experience more than 3 types
installed cooked rom ( ) succeeded
attempt to format not succeed,
through entry in recovery and wipe data ends and returns on, but device remains as it is, without any change.
You ticked repartition case that's why odin demanded a pit file.I think you used a wrong pit file you need a pit file that corresponds to your internal memory size and your device model.

You might be on a secured bootloader and youre trying to downgrade.Try other roms. You may find more topics about these problems.I cant really help because I have an i9500 and I don't know much about these bootloaders.I learned that all stock firmwares from MH1 have it.

Mate, NEVER tick repartition when flashing a rom with ODIN... This will require a PIT file and this can really brick your phone if you have the wrong one or a corrupted PIT file.
Flashing the PIT file is the last thing you do to recover your phone before sending in to service center...

Video preview thumbnail not working stock 4.3

I flashed latest stock 4.3 with odin. Everything went fine except for one thing:
When i open up the stock video player all my video thumbnails are static/not moving. They did move on previous firmwares but not on the latest 4.3. Is there some setting i missed?
I even did factory reset but that didnt work...

before flashing any firmware (if you are not restoring /system etc..) do wipe cache, data, dalvik cache.
So reflash firmware again, use PIT file.

1. You use GT-I9505 model - so your pit file is HERE to download at the bottom. You will find it (if not - press CTRL+F, type pit and browser will show you)
2. We all scared to brick our expensive strong and powerful device, but... If you want to fix everything, you need to go to CWM (or install first it), wipe user data, cache, dalvik cache. Then Plug in your device to Computer, use Odin (I recommend 3.09 because it worked for me - flashed successfully) select PIT file on PIT, select restore HUGE file (probably called home) and mount on AP... Start flashing it...
I don't know what repartition file does but use it is good if you want to restore your mobile phone correctly. I always use for my galaxy S4 and galaxy ace... If I am wrong about PIT, but I always use it and succeed everytime

If you go to video player app (samsung) you will see your list of movies. The tumbnsils should let you see a preview of the videos. In my player they were all static and would not display a preview. But it does now, and i didnt change anything.

[Q] Help plz custom boot screen unlocked

I have a note 3 and my awesome kid thought he could mod it for me, the problem is that he said that my phone was in roaming mode so he used terminal emulator and typed something in that he read, now my note 3 was rooted but I cant get it back to stock using odin, its like its stuck in custom mode any help will be a plus thanks
1. Your awesome kid is grounded for 3 weeks. lol
2. Where in the process is your odin-back-to-stock does it fail?
<Note3>
Sorry for the late response in Odin it passed through but it reboots several times and then back to the custom unlock screen to the Samsung logo and to the Verizon logo and it starts all over again
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
K. What version was your firmware before you odined, and what version are you odining to? Also, are you using the .tar file and the .pit file in odin? The .pit file will allow you to repartition your phone. Essentially formatting the entire thing before putting the op system back on.
<Note3>
Thanks for replying back 4.3 MJE is on now and for the pit file should I flash that first before I flash an op
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
You choose them both and they get applied at the same time in odin. And also make sure the repartition box is checked before you start the odin process.
I can't remember if odin wipes intrrnal sd storage when just flashing the .tar file. But it definitely will when you flash the .pit. So be sure everything you want to keep is on ext sd storage (if you can even do that in your current state).
OK will try report back in a bit Thank u again

1 question, 1 request, and 1 suggestion.
(Q) After you applied the Odin PIT & MJE flash ( I presume you are using ALL_N900VVRUBMJE_N900VVZWMJE_2106277_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5), does the phone go into the recovery boot the very first time it rebooted?
(R) Please post (cut-n-paste) the log messages from the Odin flash session if you repeat it.
(S) You might try holding the power button down for 9 seconds to power off the phone; then, hold down Vol-Up+Power to boot the phone into the stock recovery, and perform a factory reset there. This might not cure the bootloop problem, but it is possible that it will eliminate the "custom" screen during boot. Since you are still showing the Knox Warranty flag at 0x0, that would make a warranty return possible.
Note that there are 16 partitions on the phone which are not replaced by flashing a stock firmware in Odin. (for instance ddr, pad, param, efs, modemst1, modemst2, fota, backup, fsg, fsc, ssd, pad, param, efs, persist, persdata). 3 of these are actually mounted by the stock ROM - efs, persist, & persdata.
The reason that I mention this is because it is quite possible that restoring a factory ROM will not fix your phone. Without some idea of what you (or others) actually did to your phone, there are a limitless number of things that could have possibly gone wrong.
good luck... and please do not open another thread on this same topic - it is a violation of the rules here.
Like I said I was sorry about being a pest didn't mean to break the rules and I apologize for that I was just looking for help so thank you.. The phone was just a backup anyway
