Any kernels or ROMs out there supporting F2FS on the Nexus 10?

I think someone in the KTManta kernel thread managed to get it working. I asked about it but havent been answered..

I'm looking for the same info. I've converted my old N7 to f2fs & I can say it's worked wonders. Like a whole, new, different device. Hard to believe, but it feels like it out performs my Nexus 10 now. I'm a firm believer in this conversation now & feel it's the single greatest mod which can be done - besides rooting of course! We can only hope one of our great devs take this project on, it really does breath new life IMO.

I saw on April 10 (think that was the date), Ktoonz did something f2fs related on github but don't know if it's implemented yet. First step is a proper recovery tho. I'm also asking legolas if he can add the N10 to his fantastic rom conversion app. Maybe we can start a donation thread for dev help? The benefits are well worth donations IMO. If people only knew!.....

This is the wrong thread for this post... That's why if you would read, there is a nice little thread called Nexus 7 Q&A (Question & Answer)
Edit: BTW, I'm not trying to be rude. Anyways, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thank you for giving me a little usefull info about USB otg and the audio mod, that helps. Everything else and everyone's comments are just rude.
I know there are tons of roms for this tablet, so I was looking for help finding a good one. I have been searching and like the sound of clean rom or kaos droid and just looking for a lil help or a suggestion. No need to flame.

All the devs are using essentially the same source. Some have more tweaks then others and more functions, but there is no "bad" ROM. There is just your preferences over another persons. Try some yourself. Have a backup and you can restore to where you were in a mere 2 minutes.

I'm using Paranoid Android and it works great. Lets you choose between UIs (tablet, phone, phablet) and even customize individual apps.

So i've hesitated on rooting for a while now, but i finally did today. Now i'm looking for some good roms to flash, and i notice that a lot of N7 owners use PA. I want to know why? I tried CM10 and its pretty cool
Eh. I didn't like it. I had to RMA my tablet because the touchscreen was bein' cray.
But the interface of the rom? 10 points. Amazing. So fluent... it is a hybrid ROM that let's you use the tablet in tablet ui. And switch between stock, tablet, and phablet. I loved it.
Tldr;I hated it. I loved it.

The best thing to do is read the op for the pa rom and note the features it lists. All roms have their features listed to help you decide. Also, read other users comments within the thread to see what they are saying. It is all there waiting for you to read.
And for future reference, questions belong in the Q&A sub forum, not general.

Did you do a factory, cache, and dalvik wipe prior to installation?
I agree. PA has never felt as stable for me as CM. And I find that I prefer my tablet in portrait mode now, so I don't care about hybrid apps (plus the mail ones like email work proudly now)

I just tried it out and it was really unstable for something I would use everyday. I use SmoothROM and it is really stable. I put tablet UI and its perfect for my preference. It's all up on what people really want from their Nexus I guess.

Gotta disagree, as mods have gone on record stating that something such a that is outside of the scope of the Dev forum and against the rules. Replies in those threads are supposed to be limited to those relevant to development of the rom, such as bug reports. Asking a question of this nature in a Dev thread is only going to make it harder for folks to find relevant info in the thread.

I've been running PA on my N7 for a while now. Had 2.54 (the last 'stable' release) on my old 16GB and it was great. When I broke that one I got the 32GB and the first thing I flashed was PA 2.99 beta. Now running the 14-01-2013 beta build and for me its flawless. I love tablet UI and the ability to change the layout of individual apps and to set DPI to 160. PA Colours let's you choose custom colours for Nav bar, buttons etc. Its smooth and stable. Its like another device entirely. I even bought their Preferences Pro app to support the project and I'm eagerly awaiting P.A. 3
Combined with M-Kernel a30 and Trickster Mod I'm running at 1.9Ghz Max CPU and 600mhz GPU.
Its beastly. NFS:MW flies! Lol

This is a known fault. Its easily sorted by installing a 3rd party launcher although I believe it is fixed in the new build (which I'm just about to flash)

The launcher bug is just with the last beta release. I use Apex anyway. The new PIE navigation is pretty slick.

Honestly i think i'd love to flash a PACman rom. Then i wouldn't have to go back and forth flashing PA, and CM10.1
Just got my Nexus 7, I'm familiar with all the kernels and Roms available. I've downloaded all from the original development thread as well as the newer android thread. For kernels I've used Motley, Franco and the kernel that comes from faux. I'm trying to find a balance between power efficient and no lagging at all. Roms I've used paranoid android, cm10, prime which is better and j18. I'm looking for the best gaming combo, while saving battery. Any suggestions?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I use my 7 primarily for games and for that reason I stick with stock kernel. Some EA games won't download data with custom kernels and I've found stock to be just as good on battery as any custom kernel and not far behind in performance. Your results may vary from anyone else's, so no one can really tell you what'll be best for you.

May want to grab a cup of coffee to wake yourself up since my reply was in no way, shape, or form directed at you. It was directed at the OP, as this thread is just another violation of the forum rules that's going to get locked as soon as the mods get around to it.

I thought this was the questions thread for Nexus 7?! Is my question not valid enough for a community response?

Another thread closed.
The 'best' kernel/ROM is something you have to decide for yourself, there really is no right and wrong answer just which ever you feel works best for you.
This is why we strongly discourage this kind of thread.
We also do not like users that post multiple threads on the same topic, it clogs up the forums with pointless content.
Thank you
Just a simple question which I would like everyone's opinion on.
Through your experience what has been the best ROM and kernel used on your nexus 4 that provided the best performance, battery life, fluidity, great customizations etc...?!?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
these threads are nit allowed on xda. to find your best rom and kernel you have to try them out. our phones all react differently, and all our needs differ, so the only way to get your best rom and kernel you personally have to try them out. you device will let you know which rom/kernel it likes best, and only you have your needs/wants.
Oh really? I didnt know. Thanks for that

Thread closed and moved to Q&A
I've grown bored of CM, Slim, and Paranoid Android, so I'm looking for an interesting rom, my main stipulation is the source has to be out there so I can go and look around in it (and likely build it since I'm weird like that), MIUI looks interesting, but I'm still looking to see if the source is out there.
So I'm looking for input, does anyone have any suggestions of a ROM I can take, build and customize my own version of and use as my main rom?
I don't believe MIUI releases source code.
And essentially any AOSP ROM that has a repo can easily be built. I used AICP to build from its repo and it worked fine. Customizing has different meanings to everyone.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I though miui was closed source not positive on that but either way its awesome ROM if you find anything good please share I was looking for something like MokeOS (sp?)
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
For what its worth I use and reccomend F2FS version of Carbon ROM, but it maybe too similar to CM,Slim,PA for you.
Found a good one I can work with, tried it in the past, at the time it was a bit much, anyway, it's PACman, I did like some of the things they did with it.
I suggest liquid smooth. Its super fast and there are a ton of built in customizations. And about the coolest boot animation I've ever seen

Why would anyone recommend miui. It looks like iOS lol go buy a damn iPhone
I recommend slimrom. Smooth, fast and stable.

If your using All-F2FS
I'm converting every nightly build to All-F2FS
So you can be always up to date with the latest build.
