Do anybody have an idea to switch the microsd (extSdCard) and the sdcard/internal memory (sdcard0)?
I tried a lot
Root external 2 internal SD and the external2internalSD init.d script.
The app isnt workin, i have no idea how to configure, i tried it with all mountpoints..?
The script makes very crazy things. Either it doesnt work or the sdcard+extsdcard wont mount (sdcard on all mount points is just a file
with 0 bytes and the extsdcard mountpoints are empty folders).
Or the script (a modified note2 script) kills my installation, the phone boots but it says App was killed..
Please help, if anybody has an idea.
I will try anything, an other rom/kernel too.
My phone:
N9005 (32GB)
Stock ROM 4.4.2 with root
Sdcard is 64GB Sandisk exfat formated (179:64)
(Native language: german)
You need to be on a rom with init.d support and also use a kernel with init.d support, than go check out mattiadj Galaxy S4 thread with his ext2int sd mod. I use it on my tmobile note 3 with compulsion kernel and see my 128gb as my internal sd and 32gb as external now. Only his v6 .zip is compatible with kk 4.4.2 bootloader else you need to use his v8 4.3 .zip on the s3 forums.

Do i have to rewrite (make changes in the script)?
I installed omega rom with omega kernel (init.d is supported).
Then i installed the script (v6 for exfat kk), but the script do not mount the sdcard(s) right.
It only mounts the intsd into the intsd (sdcard0/intSdCard). (there are the folders "0" "legacy" and "obb")
The extSdCard is untouched.
Do u have an idea?
works
OK after i formated my SD-Card with Rufus 1.4.7 (no quickformat) works the script.
I used this script http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/mod-extsd2internalsd-v8increase-data-t1772234
(Back to mattiadj -> i9505 -> android_4.4.2 -> extsd2internalsd_exfat_gs4_6_kk.zip)
I used OMEGA v13 ROM + OMEGA KERNEL. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470441

Awesome glad you got it to work, I like helping out on this thread because
1. I appreciate mattiadj making this app for all of us to use it free of charge.
2. I couldn't live without this mod anymore as I have way too many apps that have all those extra data/obb files that wouldn't fit on the internal memory and I know a lot of other people do too.
3. I enjoy helping out as much as I can in hopes that mattiadj will continue this mod in future android updates and I know he already gets hammered with a lot of questions.

cannot get to work, on n900w8
i have tried iton note 3 with stock 4.4.2 with complusion kernel, on wicked rom, on infamous rom with original kernel and with complusion.
this is how i tried first i format the 64gb sd card to exfat, then i install the rom and or kernel, then once the phone boots up i restart and install the extsd2internalsd_exfat_gs4_6_kk.zip. but when i restart it shows the same thing as before applying the mod.
can someone help me, or let me know what i am doing wrong, or if you have a certain rom kernel combo and which exfat version you used.

what did you format to fat32 or exfat? im having a hard time on this.
Alright im new here. (Hello) and i have kinda the opposite problem. My sd card died recently and with it a whole bunch of apps stopped working. Now if the situation was the apps were installed on the sd then duh no **** the apps are on there of course they'd stop working. But here's the thing. None of the apps were installed on the sd but are all on internal so im a bit pissed and confused as to why that would happen. All obb files and the latter are on the internal. Could someone please help me?

Hello,
I'm sure you are all aware of the very less storage space on the samsung galaxy s4!!
I was wondering if any of you tried apps like DirectoryBind or FolderMount to mount big folders (games, pics etc.) to the external sd card.
I myself tried both apps and none worked for me..
DirectoryBind use to work perfectly on my SG Note II, but on my i9500, it didn't work at all and I got reboots when trying to mount!
Then I purchased FolderMount, in hopes that it would work too.. But nope! That didn't work as well
I currently use a Class 10 Sandisk 64GB microSD card and I got it from amazon! And i've had no problems with it when I used it for my Note 2... I don't know why all of a sudden its not working.. Or is it the app itself.. Maybe they're not optimized for the galaxy s4 yet!!
Even for the folder mount app, I get the message, "Error: extSdCard permission - FolderMount couldn't fix the external sdcard permission and ownership. This could lead to read/write issues for apps that try to access your mounter internal sd card folders. Please try to remount all pairs after a while manually."
I have no idea what to do..
I don't know if this is a kernel issue...or a rom issue etc etc...
I was on WanamLite ROM v1.0 and I flashed the updated kernel that supported exfat cards!!
My card detects fine and I also have some out quite some stuff on it! Its only I cannot use any of the apps.
I really need to find a way, as the 8.5GB internal storage is just not enough!
Please help guys!!
Thanks in advance!
Directory Bind doesn't work anymore, only Folder Mount for Android 4.2.2
error
even folder mount is giving me error. something related to extSd card permissions...
i dont know how to fix it!!
maybe you need to format it, exFat is supported.
i did format it as well!! i have no idea why its not working..
i even tried genuine 16GB samsung microSD Card!!!
STILL THE SAME... Arghhh! this is getting annoying...
i cannot install most of the games i want... if i can, it has to be 1 or 2!!
I'm using AMDL build and AMDK kernel, not sure if this any help.

I have the same problem like roni2915, and I'm currently using AMDL build and AMDK baseband.
May I know which method did you use to root your S4?
i use the steps given here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258571
Event after root, under Device Status it shows Official
1) flash with I9500XXUAMDL_I9500OLBAMDK_I9500DXUAMDK_HOME.tar.md5
2) flash with Kernel_XXUADMK
3) flash with cofface_I9500_cwm_recovery_en and root it
4) flash with Kernel_XXUADMK
not sure if those were steps taken, but yeah finally it work. rooted with su 1.25 and did update and move all updated app to system.
did factory reboot and setup my S4 again - all went ok.

Have you already installed busybox ?

I used Samsung Galaxy S4 : ROM OMEGA 4.0 & SD CARD Class 10 Memory Size 16GB Format Partition Type FAT32
I want to move Application & Game to SD Card; However i used Directory Bind & Link2SD (create partition exf2 for link file already)
but it's not work. How to fix it. Thank you
Try FolderMount. It's easier to use and has more features.

just wait for the new FW update, that will fix the issue....
it is already in the 'wild', so the updated ROMs will start popping out soon.

Hey all. Just picked up my s4 yesterday and I immediately rooted and flashed slimbean. It's a beautiful thing but I'd really like to find a bug free DEBLOATED touch wiz ROM just for sh*ts and giggles too. I'm hoping someone here can suggest one. Please, bug free and debloated.
Secondly, question about 4.2.2 and flashing ROMs. Is there still the issue caused by the multi user support which leads to a bunch of directories within directories on the internal SD card? Coming from the s3 and the note 2, I know that was an issue. After flashing a few 4.2.2 ROMs, you'd have all your SD card contents moved within a new "0" directory a bunch of times. The way I worked around it was to copy all the contents of my internal SD to my external SD. Then before flashing I'd wipe the internal SD card. Finally after flashing my new 4.2.2 ROM, I'd copy the contents back from external to internal.
Thanks in advance!

I wonder why my phone runs out of internal space so quickly. Even with apps all installed in the SD card, as soon as it's time to update, the phone runs out of storage. I'm using a rooted stock rom with the latest update from Samsung and with a 2GiB microsd that came with the phone.
Is there a way to solve this without using a custom rom?
You need to get a minimum 8GB SD card & install Link2SD & link all the apps to the sd card, see the link2SD tutorial here:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614700
Your ROM should also have init.d support & stock ROM doesn't have that

Yes, but what part of "without using a custom ROM." I said differently? Also, changing to a bigger SD card is not an option either. Link2SD also can't move system apps, unless I make them "installed" apps using Titanium Backup.

This seems to be a problem with the stock rom. I've used an assortment of custom roms and never ran out of internal space.
Try amarullz script

Hello all.
Just got a class 10 MicroSD XC 64GB fot my Xperia Z C6603 and saw many post about exFAT not supported. Luckily, mine works with no fuss at all. So I'll post it for reference as I didn't see anyone mention this.
- First of all, I format the card with SD Formatter 4.0 from SD Association itself. Set it to exFAT. Should be done quick.
- Then I replace my old 8GB with this 64 GB(59 GB actually...) and start with SETTINGS > STORAGE > TRANSFER DATA TO SD CARD to test if it can write, and yes, it just work.
- Then I set USB Connectivity to MSC mode and plug into my PC. Windows Explorer says it's exFAT. So I put an 12 GB movie file in. It just work. Play in MX Player with no fuss at all.
Wish this useful and happy new year!
As far as I know, exfat has been supported since 4.2.2 on our device.

Oops... My bad.
My xz cannot mount 64gb sandisk exfat format. When im insert the sd,it say sdcard removes insert new. Im on stock 4.3 rom with alnikki v19 kernel. Any help?
Sory for my bad english.still learning.
Stock kernel supports exfat filesystem out-of-the-box (on stock unrooted ROMs). Maybe your custom kernel doesn't have exfat support. Go back to stock kernel and you'll find your card is mounted and readable.
Dead Cookies leave no trails...
will try to flash back stock kernel. thanks for your help.
