What is you recomendation ?

Use the standard governer. Using a different governer would not gain you much benefit (if any).

Help

SGN3 (W8) OC on stock kernel possible?

will overclocking / underclocking / changing cpu governor be possible with a knox-enabled kernel?
i have a canadian version of note 3 still with knox 0x0, rooted, and using knox.
when trying to change cpu governor, it wont work with stock kernel
is there a workaround for this or none?
TIA and highly appreciated
No, the kernel settings are embedded it the kernel itself so it will not work and no Samsung's stock kernel does not allow overclocking I recommend you LeanKernel 3.10, it is fast and stable supports OC to 2.7ghz, fast and stable for daily use
N9005 NH1 32GB Stock debloated rooted ROM

Well with our note 3's we are safe on changing kernels anyway with being able to flash knox back. Mighta try that . . . thanks
although -- i personally use knox thats why its a hard decision to change kernels

Nexus 4 5.1 Kernel W/ Overclock possibilities?

I want to know if exists a kernel with good performance and reliability with overclock possibilities and DT2W on the "market" did anyone found a good one? i want a good kernel specially for gaming and reliability and DT2W if is possible , thank you very much !
EDIT: I tried a benchmark tool but i forgot to close ~6 Apps lol ,bellow is the result , good or not for 5.1 Stock W/ Stock kernel?
No one know a good kernel? come on guys , i trought you guys are specialists .. :silly:
Tried some kernels like AK kernel & franco kernel but both of them are unstable , at least on stock 5.1 ... can anyone please reccomend me a good , stable one ?
I'd suggest you Quanta kernel

Thanks for the reply bud , i want to use a stable one with overclock possibilities , did you use/used it? could you overclock the device with the kernel installed? what about the battery life , i preffer to ask before installing one wich possibly could not be good for the device needs ..
Yeah I'm currently using it with chroma rom.. You can overclock up to 1728mhz but personally I prefer underclocking for great battery life (more than 5h SOT)
Ok , so i flashed the Quanta V3 then tuned with Kernel Adiutor , runned a AnTuTu benchmark , low score ( about 26.600 ) then Quadrant Standard ( 5.713 max ) then Vellamo ( 794 on multicore ) 891 on metal ... i don't know what's wrong .. i overclocked it , changed the governor to performance , locked the frequency , upvolting , nothing , maybe a bit higher score than previsourious ... the best performance i got was with the AK kernel ( see the pic below ) that's the highest score i ever got i don't know what's wrong , maybe because i'm using stock rom? i don't like custom roms not on this phone , at least ... should i use a stock based modified kernel for 5.1.0 ?
Just scored 29999 on antutu by only changing max frequency to 1728mhz and governor to interactive. If I remember correctly AK has higher overclock frequencies so that could be the reason for higher scores

Yes , on AK you can overclock up to 1.944 ghz but it drains much more battery than Quanta , i think it doesen't exist a good kernel a reliable one ... for this momment i preffer stock kernel with stock rom , i don't like custom roms because them are so slow and unstable , the kernels eat to much battery , that's why stock is better here ...

Cannot overclock higher than 2.26GHz?

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005.
I installed a custom recovery and rom 2 days ago, first rom being phronesis 2.0 rom.
From there I tried overclocking my device but all apps show me 2.26ghz is the max my device can go, apps used include: kernal auditor, setcpu, trickster mod and no frills cpu control.
I searched the forums a bit and so I thought flashing a new kernel would help. I flashed Arter97s kernel and it still didn't allow me to overclock higher than 2.26 ghz, then I tried audax's kernel with no luck.
Then today I moved on to Tesla 5.1.1 Rom, and I still cannot overclock higher
I yet again reflashed arter97s kernel and still I am having no luck.
Any help?
Thanks

This is the limitation of the kernel. It provides the frequencies it supports, so you need a kernel with OC support. I do not OC, so sorry, no clue which to take which even is allowed to talk about here. ShinTo was supporting it AFAIK, but they had to leave due to not providing the source and thus violating the GPL.

I am able to overclock my 9005 up to 2.7GHz with mentioned apps. I am not sure which kernal I am using. I have Phronesis 5.0 on and am getting ready to flash 5.2. The only shlep is that I need to set the frequency after each reboot. I wish this could be included in a kernal.
Try using leankernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488082 I had same kind of problem then I flashed this and used kernel auditor. Now everything works perfectly!

Samsung s4 Sgh i337M Help please

So I'm very New to all this andriodnrom flashing and what not I currently have cm,11 installed I got no frills I got every program to backbup n what not ROM manager, Titanium Pro you name it. So I am having battery problems and I feel like the phone could run smoother I have a Samsung sgh i337M I am looking for help on installing the best ROM for my phone preferably CM cause I want performance/battery life, stability and customization. Any help appreciated my current ROM only has noop cfq and row as I/o schedulers which isn't that good if I'm not mistaken but idk any help on my min and max CPU I should have set any help appreciated ty ty
You would install cm12.1 and any other custom ROM the same way you install cm11. You'll probably have to update to the latest recovery, modem, and bootloader in order to flash and user newer ROMs.
A custom kernel can help extend battery life.
