[Q]Phone stuck at boot logo and start to overheat - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whenever I switch off my S4 GT-19506,it will automatically switch back on by itself , gets stuck to the 'Samsung' boot logo and gets really overheat. My phone isn't rooted so may i know why its behaving like this?

My guess would be that your usb port is dirty. Probably some oxidated water or something.

Galaxy S4 overheating at logo screen

Hi,
Iv'e had this phone for only 3 days now and today it just shut down in my pocket. When I took it out it was quite hot. I restarted it but after a couple minutes it shut down again.
Now it is just stuck on the boot logo of Samsung. And the problem is that the longer it stays stuck on this screen the phone keeps on overheating. I mean really really hot.
I have to pull the battery for it to cool down. When phone is off and a charger is connected even then it will start to heat up.
It wont even enter recovery mode.
I've only just bought this phone (No warranty from seller). Has my galaxy already gone kaput? say it isnt so :crying:
I mean at this stage I cannot even try a different ROM and see if that will fix it.
It might be a battery issue, try a new batterij first i would say

[Q] D800 blank at times, other times stuck at Logo?

I just bought this form a guy who said he did a restore and it never booted again except to the boot logo.
I have only got it to boot to the logo twice, mostly it won't do anything and when the logo is present the computer does not know what it is, when the logo is not present the computer (pc) does not see it at all.
It will not go into recovery, it only goes into the LG logo screen occasionally, it booted to a blue screen twice?
No water damage, no tampering except by me to disconnect the battery.
It seems to be charging because it gets warm and there is never any charging light.
I have two different factory chargers and cables and the drivers on my pc see my friends G2 without issue.
Any ideas?

LG g2 Shows 0% battery after lcd and digitizer replacement and turns off

I finally got the right digitizer for my LG-D802, and when I turn it on it will either go through the boot process, and then show 0% battery and tell me it's turning off because of the battery, or do a boot process with what looks like a buffering logo animation followed by a regular speed animation, led light flashes green and blue and then back to the 0% battery and turn off. If connect it with charger turns on by it self and the boot logo runs like slow motion, after some time reboot and does bootloop.
I can get it to firmware download mode, and cannot get it to factory reset. I also cannot get my win 7 to see the phone after trying tons of different drivers.
Please help

Boot Logo Repeating

I have a galaxy s4 (i9500) and got it in used condition, a year ago. Never suspected a single problem in it.
Today I powered off my mobile for charging then after 25 minutes I took it off. I held the power button then I saw my boot logo(Where there is written Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9500). That logo kept showing as usual for 2 seconds and screen went black and again that logo appeared for 2 seconds and screen gone black and again it appeared, so, I'm stuck in kinda loop not a bootlooop exactly(maybe because bootloop refers to being stuck on boot screen while in my case its boot logo). I then removed the battery and inserted it back after an hour and as soon as I inserted it back the mobile itself turned on as if I held power button but this time again I was stuck in that loop. Moreover when I tried going into download mode, I didn't even need to hold the power button along with the volume down and home, it itself proceeded to confirmation screen of odin mode. And after that confirmation screen appeared saying that whether I really want to boot into download mode, disappeared itself after like 3 or 4 seconds even though I didn't press any key. And in case I press vol up key confirming to boot to download mode, then it again takes me to that loop. I'm too much confused . I can't even flash the firmware as it won;t boot to download mode neither am I able to boot into recovery.
Now do u really think the problem might be the power button(Which is maybe stuck in the state of pressed).
Or else it can be the battery coz my battery is also just average not too good?
I also inserted the command( in build.prop file) for enabling nav. bar and the code was correct but I never rebooted after inserting that. this was the first time I rebooted after that.
SOrry for some bad English.
Do you have something like this? I'm now having problem with getting my phone back to work...

From what you say it seams like power button problem, try to start the phone and connect it to the charger. When it start take out the battery, it will be powered by charger and you will eliminate battery problem.

boot loop after 4 inch drop ,no power black screen unless plugged in, then bootloop

does anyone here have any clue what could be happening to my device? i just got this 128gb 6p not even 6 weeks ago , totally stock
from ebay allegent "new sealed in box " but was obviously refurb
today the phone ( in a TPU case) slid out of my pocket and between the seat and center console
it was paired to the stereo via bluetooth when it fell all of 6 inches , soon as it fell the music stopped,
i reached for the phone and it was off and would not switch on at all , totally unresponsive
when i plug it in it boot loops at the google logo
i tried heating it and it started the boot animation but then fails and goes back to the google black screen google black screen loop again
if i unplug it from the charger the screen goes off and it is totally unresponsive
even if i go to the boot menu before unplugging it and go to recovery mode, soon as i unplug it from the charger it goes dead and will not power on at all no bootloop nothing , totally unresponsive
could it be loose internal battery cable causing this?
should i attempt taking it in for repair?
or is this a hardware or software bootloops?
is it normal for the phone to not respond when not plugged in with a bootloop?

The drop could've been just enough to separate the clusters on the SoC. It probably is that as you said when you heated it up it started loading. you might want to look into it in more detail. there is a lot of info on this topic
