I wanted to remove all icon names permanently, but i don´t want to use a app like desktop visualizer, instead i would like to flash a mod or something like that. Is that possible? I am running a stock rom. Thanks.

Use Holo launcher and u can hide icon labels there easily.

Or u can use ADW ex,that launcher also have option to hide icon labels.

My idea is to not bloat my stock with launcher or apk for this. i wanted a way to edit or flash something to remove the icons names/labels from the rom. i Did not found how yet...

To do that you would have to edit touchwiz launcher .. no easy task... use holo.. delete touchwiz.. adw ex is paid app.. you can try that too

Not without a bit of work to mod it, possibly not at all if it needs touchwiz framework. Someone recommended the below clock and weather widget, which is similar and works really well.

You can resize widget if launcher that you use support resize widget. if you use stock launcher i think its imposible

You can use a custom launcher which supports widget resizing. The TouchWiz launcher doesn't support this feature. I suggest you to use Holo or TT Launcher (developed on XDA)

yea .... i am talking about a touchwhiz launcher...
i have a launcher ..but its widget size is very small... but its a good launcher..though it is touchwhiz, it doesnt come with widget resizing option
so thats my ques...how can i edit that widget setting
You can install a modded TouchWiz version (I'm not sure about resizing feature )or install look-a-like TouchWiz launchers like S4, S3 or note 3 launcher. Go to www.galaxyyarchive.info to see. It's a site for galaxy y and you can learn a lot about your phone.

Yes it works the same just touch and hold on a home screen and choose widgets and they all should be there you might get a pop up asking you to allow nova to create the widget just click yes

The problem is that those stock widgets don't appear in any other launcher widget tab.
