I wanted to remove all icon names permanently, but i don´t want to use a app like desktop visualizer, instead i would like to flash a mod or something like that. Is that possible? I am running a stock rom. Thanks.

Hi there,
Could someone please let me know how I go about removing the text from below each of the icons?
I've been through the settings panel, but can't find anything to help.
Thanks alot
I don't think this is supported on the TouchWiz launcher. I know LauncherPro supports it. Can be downloaded from the market.
Thanks for the reply.
If I switch to LauncherPro, am I able to change back to TouchWiz launcher if I want to?

yes, it's a on/off option choice in the software settings
Is it possible to edit the icons on TW icons - like from root explorer - to not include the name of the app ?
I dont want to switch launchers to get more options.
Without switching launchers, you aren't going to get customization outside of arranging the icons on the dock, with the exception of the Apps icon
Only way I know is by switching launchers. LP has the option.
Thanks, much appreciated.

Hi I have ussr rom v4 installed on my device and using its main launcher. I was wondering if I could change the icons at the bottom of my screen where the dialer and messages option is. Can anyone help please?
Thanks:good::good:
Use Holo Launcher
You cannot edit the icons at the home screen unless :
• Download any launcher capable on doing that.
• Edit the icons of the application you wanted to change.

Anyone know how to apply icons from Nox Icons to the G2 without using a non-stock launcher? I prefer using the stock G2 launcher to keep "knock knock" but don't like the icons. I already tried changing the icons by long pressing the icon I want to change and selecting the Nox icon I want but it keeps saying "Failed to load image".

You can keep knock on/off with 3rd party launchers, you just need to double tap the status bar up top.
Yeah I know, but that's too hard to do one handed (or I'm just too lazy). I was hoping there's a way to find the icons using a file browser or maybe someone has the icons in a zip.

You can also download a program called Turn off screen, using nova, after you set up "turn off screen" go to activities under gestures in Nova, and set double tap as turn off screen. Also, if you have root, in the app section, someone has developed the regular launcher with pretty much all options you can think of.
Have fun.
User Xposed and Icon themer module. Works awesome.

Yes. Actually I never really thought of it in any other way. You can do it through your launcher settings or usually the icon pack itself has a way to apply it (left side, should be there).

I mean, for example if I was in settings and I went into my apps instead of seeing their default icons I would see the icons from my selected icon pack. So no matter where I was seeing the icon it would be the Icon pack's icon. Hope this helps.

In settings>apps specifically? No I dont think itll switch the icons there but it will change them all on your homescreen and in app drawer.
I use Action Launcher 3 and I can apply all from the launcher settings. Or like I said, open the icon pack itself and tap apply.

Yeah, but if it's only in your launcher it isn't system wide.

You need a custom launcher that supports icon packs. Android launcher doesn't provide native support for icon packs. Icons are applied system wide if you are using a custom launcher and make it your default homescreen instead of Android's launcher. However, most icon packs will be missing icons for at least some of your apps. Some icon packs attempt to theme those icons and others just leave the stock icon.

Your launcher is system wide. You need to make the custom launcher your default home instead of Android's launcher. The launcher changes your home screens and your app drawer.

There was a xposed module that allow you to do that, change icons system wide. I didn't tried it lately, but used to work fine.
It's called Unicon, by Faruq Rasid, search for it in the PlayStore.
Edit: You're on N, so no xposed for you, Sorry.
