A couple of hours ago The official Samsung Twitter account posted a tweet “ tgeltaayehxnx,” which is a Countdown for the Next Galaxy. Samsung has also registered a domain name http://www.tgeltaayehxnx.com/ that claims to reveal something in the next 6 hours. Discover how Samsung is about to challenge the way you view the GALAXY once more .

Im confused, iv read from multiple sources this is either a new GALAXY or a new software update..
Im hoping for a new Galaxy as my SGSII has recently become boring.. need some fresh meat to get my hands on..

I think this is a way to see how many people from each country is interested in the SGS3 so they will know how many Galaxys to deliver to each country +-?

technical data of s3 seems pretty nice, but it will run with TouchWiz anyway :/

I bet that all Samsung will deliver and expect to get out of todays teaser is hype and excitements.

Well they will give us the 4.1 update .They gave S1 2.1->2.2->2.3. And after that the device was 2 years old to get the 4.0 update !

S2 won't be getting it according to this link:

Even Android 5.0 will be made availaible by samsung for S2.

I don't see why not since the phone (if I remember correctly) has comparable/better performance than the Nexus. Plus in places like the US, the S2 has been out for only just under a year. Considering carriers here still sell phones as old as the iPhone 3GS, I'd say the S2 still has some considerable life left and it'd be foolish not to support the phone and its users.
That being said, it may still take a while before the carriers decide to allow their versions of JB onto the S2. I think AT&T just last week released ICS for their S2

+1, Just because it says it will have an update, well it means nothing. Could be next year ...... Could be next week.I wouldn't get excited about it just yet lol.

I have tested leaked 4.1.1 on my p3100
tested for few hours and reverted to cm9
stock rom uses 100MB more ram, gui not so smooth
but sound seems to be better quality (more details at high frequencies) and bluetooth headset connects faster

I don't trust it. I was told every quarter for almost a year that my photon 4g was getting ICS, they recently changed their minds last minute.

I am tired of waiting for jelly bean update.don't know when we will get it.

I Just Have One question i would love to put it directly to Samsung,
Why is the rollout of JB talking so long, since these devices (GT - P5110 ) have the source code released and no carrier to slow down the rollout ?
Are we to believe that the phone company's can roll out quicker than the device manufacturer on some products? how can this be ?

Samsung has known issues with her reflects concerning customer care services, such as the update to JB for the GT-51XX series. Same thing happened with the SGS 1 and icecream sandwich. First we would get the update (rumoured), then no update (official statement), then the value pack(official statement), then no value pack(rumoured), finally one day we saw value pack rolling out... Too much Samsung hate and constant whining in here. This is one of the very few 2011 Gingerbread devices that's getting JB 4.1, if not the only one.

I agree. The Spain JB Rom is very good in my opinion. Kudos to Samsung. I was planning on getting a new phone in Feb. But now I don't really see the point. Unless I get bored again of course.

I don't know why people are crying because update roll out has stopped.
Maybe Samsung have halted a mass roll out because they're ashamed of the unfinished, polished turd that is LS8.
Quality is the key my friends. Rather a late, well built, decent ROM than a rushed, back street KIRF effort.

They release the update for a single country and then iron out the bugs, as pointed out by users, before releasing it for other countries. They did the same thing with the S3 (for the 4.1.2 update) when Poland got the update on the 5th of December while the rollout continued 2 weeks later. I'm sure S3 was pretty high on their list of priorities...

It sucks

They don't care. It's all about the money.

Over the past couple of years their update policy has gotten much worse than it use to be.
Samsung seem to focus more on hardware than software & it's getting that way if you want the latest version of Android you got to buy their latest Smartphones.
Once the S7 is released in just over 3 weeks time, the S6 while still being one of the best smartphones out there even in 2016, will be all but forgotten & put on Samsung's back burner, you get 6.0.1 but don't expect anything else for a very long time after.
Marshmallow 6.1 is due out in the Summer the S7 will see this at some point, the S6 will have to wait until around early 2017.
Android N
The Note 6 will be the first to see this, the S7 will get it in 2017 probably after the S8 is launched, the S6 will probably still be waiting for Android 6.1.

Update suck big time. But i still enjoy holding the premium smartphone, vibrant 2k display, 35ms touch response, good cpu.
I wish to have cm 13 as daily driver, probably not gonna happen.

Exactly. they do not care about their existing customers and only want new customers. They are only interested in converting Apple users to Samsung and neglect us. Then they cry on their phones not selling!

Although S6 is best android phone I've owned (hardware, fit in hand, sexy bezel), this is the last Samsung I'm buying. I've previously owned N4, N5 and OnePlusOne. This is beyond ridiculous. Google should put out a update policy on every android manufacturer.
