Any idea where to find the changelog for this, or does Sony not publish those?

Who has the .69 firmware already? Would be GREAT and VERY helpful if one of you could upload a FTF...
The sony support site says that .36 the 'latest version' for my 32GB wifi only tablet. (US market version, not UK)
I'm in Canada and still haven't recieved the update either

Germany, LTE Z2: Nothing. Tried OTA and Sony Companion; keeps on telling me x.55 is the latest version.
For all you Z2 WiFi jockeys eagerly waiting for x.55: It does NOT solve the touchscreen problems; in fact, my third Z2 with x.55 has far more touchscreen trouble than devices running x.36 - so you really didn't miss a thing.
Nothing here yet in Australia. Disappointing

I bet those 2 people who on the Xperia blog site commented that they already have the update actually have the LTE tablet and didn't read properly... Seems the update for WiFi is actually not ready yet...

I m from Portugal and i vê Just intslled the update, i never had any problems with the touchscreen or anything, só the tablet seems exactly the same
Yeah justv went 402. Touch seems a bit better otherwise can't notice much different. That .69 for Wi-Fi news must be bogus
Sent from my SGP511 using Tapatalk
This update has finally put to rest all the problems I had.
The previous update took care of the touchscreen issue to an extent.but I had problems in certain situations, like when it was docked, sometimes it would never wake up by double tapping.
Now in any orientation, and when docked, it always wakes up, everything now is fine.
BTW, I am LTE version.

Hello Xoomers!! Motorola announced that they are releasing Honeycomb 3.1 to Xoom Wifi owners starting today in phases. I believe the updates are based on your MAC addresses on your Xooms, this was what I was told (sources withheld) but I can not confirm this 100%. Anyway, we should start seeing a steady rollout of updates as there have been no issues with the updates with Xoom 3g owners. Please be sure to thank me
Fingers crossed!!
Forgot to mention, the official WIfi only version of 3.1 does NOT contain the Movie tab in the marketplace. No biggie to me, but it will be released sometime later.
I hope this is true bc u have no idea how happy just seeing this post made me lol.
Is ut only the US version of wifi-only that will start to get the update?
How about the European version? Will it start to roll out to us to?
Can only find info that people with the US version have got it. What about we with Eu version,

LOL..I pissed my pants while typing it I was so happy! But yes I have confirmation fro other Wifi owners who have received the update this morning EST. Also there has been official word on the update being released to wifi users. I cant wait to see the popup on my xoom. Remember though, its in phases, so please be patient people. Also, 3.1 does not fix the slowness in auto rotate because this is not a google problem, its an issue with the Xoom models which should be patched soon(again sources withheld) may have something to do with increasing the cache but again Im not 100% sure on this. Good luck!!

Got my OTA this morning on my Wi-Fi Xoom in US.
Kinda ticked off that we Wi-Fi people get snubbed out of the Movie app for no reason. Especially when I have a trip this weekend that I was looking forward to using the movie app.
i got my ota update at around 12:30am last night. did a restore to stock and then used power+volup button to reboot and then check updates.

great. seems like you have a lot of info from your sources. so i will ask you this, without providing exact info (dates, time, etc.), are we close to an SD fix? Simple yes or no.

This was not done purposely, looks like their was a "bug" which caused issues with Wifi owners. But I would rather have the update now than to have to wait another few weeks just for the movie tab to be added. Enjoy your 3.1!! I'm told that the auto-rotate issue should be patched also hopefully soon!!

Hey there! yes, the SD issue is NOT Motorola's fault, contrary to what is believed..this is a issue with Honeycomb itself which Google is aware of and will fix. The other tablets that do have the SD card support are using a "work-around" but its not the official fix. From what I "hear" the issue is how Honeycomb sees the SD card, this will be officially fixed soon. I believe that the other tabs will receive an update for the SD card also, as the way it works for them is not "official"

Can anyone provide a reliable link for this? People with wifi have been getting updates randomly for the last couple of days, so I'm not sure this is news. Not that I don't trust unsubstantiated conjecture, but... actually, I don't trust unsubstantiated conjecture.

Another post eslewhere in this forum mentioned that Motorola tech support said that a "fix" (not sure if that means Xoom only temp fix or a permanent fix from Google) for the SD card was finalized and would be pushed at close to the same time as the 3.1 update.

My message to Asus.
"[Problem Description]
After the latest firmware update which included Netflix and the app backup program, I
have found that the touch screen no longer is sensitive enough to pick up my stylus.
Prior to the update it worked near flawlessly for note taking and drawing apps. Now
however I am lucky if it picks it up at all. Manila input via my fingers still works well.
Also, the app backup app does not work at all. It consistently fails regardless of the
choices I make, whether it be data, data and app, or even the size of that I choose.
Please advise if these are known issues and if an update is in the works to rectify the
issues. Thank you."
Their message back.
"Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
We will release new FW 8.6.5.19 for this issue soon."
Just as a heads up for anyone also having these issues as I am.
I want the firmware with ICS please.
That would be nice.....but in the meantime I'd love to be able to use my stylus for handwritten notes again....

I really do suspect that they've halted the current update and will be pushing the new one instead... I know there seems to be conflicting information on that score, but why keep pushing a flawed update when you've already made a new one?

I just got the notification too.
I'm in Melbourne. it's on 2% only after about half an hour. My guess is that the servers are struggling
Got my upgraded just now. Soo far so good. Just testing out the apps and features. Gmail app is crashing a bit. Keyboard lag is much better
just woke up to find a download ready. Reasonably quick, guess not many people on at this hour If it fixes keyboard lag and nothing else I will be happy.
All installed and no issues so far.
Wifi good.
Bluetooth good.
No screen flicker issues.
App drawer is smooth scrolling in either orientation.
Keyboard lag seems to have gone.
All up, very pleased.
Wots the build no. Can any one tell me pls
I still looking 4 update.zip if anyone has captured it.
many thanks

Well I've been using my A500 with ICS all day now. Absolutely love it! Feels like a brand new tablet! Factory reset got rid of all the junk I had accumulated, and ICS just feels so much more polished and complete.
No issues at all apart from browser sync (but I'm using chrome beta now anyway so I don't really care)

I don't use auto-brightness as I've always found the app Lux a lot better than stock solutions.
Maybe the people who havnt had update yet are getting this instead of 12.1.A.0.266? Sony GB seem to be taking their sweet old time with the rollout.

A certification needs a new thread? I think this just can be at the news about 4.3 - 4.4, we don't know if this will be released, or.... Neither fixing bugs xD
Also, plz, no using a feature is not meaning of 'there's no bugs', there are a lot of bugs reported, and not all ppl get all bugs, that's one of the reason this upgrade is not so,good....
http://goo.gl/GW56iN
NEWS
Well, if they found the bug, they will just have to request new certification for new update again. It's normal when there are a few firmware certification before an update is rolling out.
EDIT: Maybe it's a quick maintenance release before the list of bug is sent. I saw in Voldafone software update that SP is going to receive an 4.3 - > 4.3 Quick Maintenance Release and it's in Test Scheduled.
Hopefully auto brightness will work, frezzes will be eliminated and the operation will be fast, RAM will be optimized....

Well, I hoped for 4k video fix but got the overheat message in 4 mins writing on my sandisk extreme pro 16 gb. My phone is in official sony case though, maybe this is the issue. Have your results improved?
If you want longer 4k sessions, turn off image stabilization. Atleast in my case, it doubled the time, from 5 to 10mins. Though custom rom and kernel might also have something to do with this.
Now we need root!
I would love to know if the battery life stays on the same great level
Interesting, my 4G indicator now says LTE here on AT&T .. The phone does seem snappier, quicker response for sure over .55. :good:

Fixing this isn't as easy as you might think. It probably needs hardware modifications and there is nothing Sony may do about it.
