[Q] need root

I want to root my samsung galaxy s4 i9500 on android 4.3 (mk9) WITHOUT TRIGGERING KNOX AND WARRENTY BIT......just need root, cwm is not that important just want to keep knox and warranty bit as zero earlier I usedkingoapp but now it is not supported

After having my original non-knox s4 replaced under warranty, ive now been given a mk9 4.3 i9505 and in the same situation.
Can anyone confirm if its possible to root without triggering knox?

Try to use Saferoot mate , and Please read more about saferoot before using it , since i still have an oldbooloader nor No knox . im not really sure if this gonna work or not.

Thanks mate, gosh i didnt think to look into other i9505 sections. XDA information seems somewhat all over the place sometimes. I can confirm its working. Running root without any KNOX triggers.

One more thing, Is there a definitive place i can go to get the latest on rooting and custom roms?

Im sorry mate , I know only how to root the phone without triggering your knox but if you flash any custom rom, im sure that your knox will get void ?!? Like i said im still on oldbootloader and Please feel free to read more about here .

Is there any way to root my Galaxy S4 I9505 runnig Android 4.4.2 without tripping the knox flag?
I'm looking for something similar to Saferoot, which only works on jellybean.

some people on the saferoot thread are saying that this doesn't work on 4.4

what variant of s4 are you using?did you have root before updating?and also, is your knox flag still 0x0?

im using exynos version of s4, with omega v18. at first it doesnt work, it just stop at connecting to device on cmd screen, but after few try (try other usb ports, other cable, reboot phone and pc), it works. the process went through and finished as it should. then i can use TB to restore my apps.

Updated, but can't root....
Any other way i can try?

Im also want to root without trip knox (for warranty) but until noe there are no way. So just waiy like me☺

Towelroot wont work for i9500.
All you have to do is wait and have faith in the devs who are working for us in helping us to get root access without tripping knox.
Every i9500 user who wants root but a normal knox counter is waiting.

towelroot wont work,

hi guys i just got an s4 a few hours ago the first thing i'm trying to do is root it, what i understand is towel.apk is only way to root without voiding knox. I tried towelroot it says my device is unsupported?

Yeah.
1. Towelroot is for root android 4.3 or higher.
2. You can use CF-Auto-Root without void the warranty coz you are using android 4.2.2. This is the first firmware of the Galaxy s4 and it hadn't KNOX. You can flash any custom recovery too without KNOX.

I think you are wrong. Go to download mode and add me one screenshot of what appears there. I added one screenshot when I was using android 4.2.2. I promiss u that rooting your device with CF-Auto-root your KNOX will be off anyway.

If you don't know what is the difference btw Knox and binary flash counter isn't my problem. One nice guide is in this website. Read and learn a little more.
* EDIT: This root process may increase binary flash counter, not change KNOX status. Read a little more about TRIANGLE AWAY too.

Cf root will trigger my knox though. I have used cf root and triangle away many times on my s2 and my s3. I know the difference between knox and binary. Believe me your 4.2.2 I don't think was mh6, must have been earlier 4.2.2. This is my download mode.

KNOX started in android 4.3. You can read THIS article for your info :highfive:. You can try IROOT app too.

Sorry my friend but once again you are wrong! Knox started in 4.2.2
I know you are trying to help but YOU need to read more before giving advice, because if anybody listened to your advice they would void the knox counter.
