My speakers was perfectly working until yesterday when the phone auto updated. I'm sure it shouldnt be a hardware issue since it was working before. Anyone experiencing this? Do you have any workaround?

All of a sudden, there's no sound coming from my speakers. My headphones work fine. The first time it happened, I found a solution that had to do with turning on the Bluetooth and then something else but now I can't find it anywhere.
Is anybody familiar with that fix?
I am having a problem that is just driving me mad. When the screen is on, the speaker makes a weird hissing sound . I was hoping that Samsung will fix it with a software update ,but now I received the first update after Nougat and the issue is still present. I am starting to think is a hardware related issue.
Anyone haivng the same problem?
I got the device rooted and flashed a custom ROM ,but the hissing problem is still present. Can anyone help me?
No problem for me my friends :/
I think you have a hardware issue..
Try viper or dolby for see if the problem can be resolved?
Hi, just bought mi a1 and the phone seems perfect, except for a REALLY annoying issue: I pretty much can't listen to Whatsapp audio when I put the phone close to my ears, just like I always did with my old S3 neo, and it was perfect there. Whatsapp is updated to latest version by the way , and it gave no problems on the older phone. Can it be a software issue? Because if it's the hardware I'm probably going to to a refund, considering this is one of the most important features for me.
Thanks
Im pretty sure the audio you are trying to listening to is not of respectable quality... try playing some other audio which plays well on other devices too, and maybe some other apps too like YouTube...
No you understood it wrong, I meant that maybe the proximity sensor fails or the problem is software
Its working absolutely fine for me! No issues listening whatsapp audio from the earpiece.
Proximity sensor is working like a charm!
The thing is, when I listen an audio and put my ears on the proximity sensor it touches the screen or I exits the mode and uses speaker.. maybe cause I've got long hair? Lol hope it's a software problem
BTW, audio calls work perfectly
i have the same problem, only in the left ear the sensor worked fine the whatsapp audio.. i dont now why
Working fine..

Click to collapse
That's strange that audio calls works perfectly.
But anyway try to recalibrate your light and proximity sensors:
Dial in *#*#6484#*#*
Select ALS/PS (ambient light sensor/proximity sensor)
Recalibrate
I'm having the same problem. I factory reseted my phone, and for an hour or so, it was working fine. But after a while the problem returned. Does anyone have a fix ? Is it a hardware issue or a software issue? Thanks a bunch!
Btw edit : it's happening with audio calls as well .
Ever since I first got the phone, people have always complained that they can't hear me. Now it seems it's getting worse. Anyone else have microphone issues?
I only have issues in Snapchat. Recorded audio uses the wrong mic so it's extremely poor quality. Other than that, no issues.
Re-up. Still struggling with that issue even after update on android 10 and oxygenOS 10.3.1. Any solution here?
Thanks
2 days ago sprint pushed an update for the note 10+ and for some reason it messed up my speaker when playing apps (games, music, etc...). The sound comes out of the top of the phone for some reason and it's VERY soft. You almost can't hear it unless you put your ear up to the phone. While on a phone call, the speaker seems to work just fine, it's just when playing media that the speaker doesn't work. The headphones seem to work just fine but the speaker does not. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Well, Nevermind, lol. All of a sudden my phone just restarted by itself and the sound works perfectly now. Very odd because for the last 2 days it hasn't worked properly.
It's weird. I had an issue with my daughter's S9+ after an update, speakers were being intermittent and crackling. Eventually did a full reset but the issues remained.
After a great deal of research and messing around, a Spotify playlist on the SD card was to blame. Took out SD card everything worked fine.
Turns out the problem is an app called BIGO. When I use it, it plays the sound out of the top speaker as though I'm on a phone call. I have to force stop the app to get things back to normal. I have let the developers know but haven't heard anything back from them.l
