I have just flashed the new CM Nightly Kit Kat on my rooted Razr M. Build # is: cm_xt907 userdebug 4.4.2 KOT 49H 6d188fd4d6 test -keys
Kernel is: 3.0.101-g5bd85a2. I was running an older CM Nightly version that was working well.
The problem I'm having now is an "insufficient storage" message when I try to download & install Google play store apps. When I check my internal memory, I see that I still have almost 500 mb. I cannot move apps from the internal storage to my SD card so what could be the problem all of the sudden?
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Did you "dirty flash" or "clean flash"? Anyway, I would just start over.
+Factory Reset
+Wipe everything except SDcard
+Format data
+Reboot Recovery
+Flash
___ROM
___GAPPS
+Reboot

By clean flash I take it to mean that I did do a wipe/factory reset, wiped cache, wiped dalvik cache...anyway...that's what I did before I flashed the new ROM.

Dirty Flash = Wipe dalvik/cache only
Clean Flash = Factory Reset
Just try what I listed above for a fresh start and see if the problem persist.

I had the same results: Insufficient space on my internal memory. In desperation, I went back in to Clockwork recovery and re flashed my back up ROM.
Thanks for your help & suggestions, though!
I'm using the latest version 0407 and I do not have any issues other than the backlight issue. I'm using Lux Dash which seems to help with the light dimming. Otherwise no issues.

Hi!
Yes, you can save your phone's data using adb:
Code:
adb pull /data /path/to/save/data
For example, if I want to save my data in a folder called 'data' on the desktop of my computer, I would use this:
Code:
adb pull /data /home/username/Desktop/data
Good Luck
in that matter whenever i see that kind of error like not responing"""""""""""""""
just go to application manager and touch left touch panel (depends on phone) reset app preferances
may it give you out of it. if no than wipe data from recovery or reload os
thnx
regards.
skhan
I cant click anything, it restarts as soon as being opened.
Is there any way different from adb, for example again updating ?
Hey. I would really like to help.
Which phone model are you using? (u8800-51?)
Which ROM are you running?

Rom is i guess auror4v4, i installed 2-3 months ago.
Model is i think u8800, in back it is wirtten.
Andit keeps restarting, how can i use adb?
Can you go into recovery? If you can then go into recovery and backup your ROM. After that, get a CyanogenMod JB ROM in you phone from recovery, and install that CyanogenMod on top of aurora. You can wipe cache and dalvik cache. That will not delete your data.

Hi,
I have installed Ultra Gb revolutionary 1.6 Rom and have been using it for a while. I wanted to remove all content on phone..so i tried to wipe data and reinstall the rom again. Rom flashed correctly and i rebooted the phone..but user apps were not removed, they are still on the phone.
I tried changing kernel, flash another rom, flashed utra gb again, the apps are still there, why?
You can try to conenct your sdcard to your PC and delete .android_secure, it contains sd apps that don't get deleted with /data
If it doesn't work you can use Wipe data option in settings :good:

Well, that may be a kernel issue! Try to install stock kernel/ROM via odin and get it all clean!

I think that's not the kernel, he said he tried to change it, i think he haves a problem because /data is not mounted,
OP use CWM and mount /data, then do wipe data & cache

While selecting Factory reset on cwm, data & cache are automatically mounted and both data, cache and .andtoid_secure is wiped! I'm jst sharing my experience, it happened with me few times while using percy_g2 kernel! The best option for me was odin!
In CWM in general partition is mounted when wiped, I think switching kernel and try again
Flash another CM kernel and wipe data then return to your kernel, or do a factory reset from setting in phone
Try to use odin. Your userdata.img may be Corrupted
Press Thanks if Helped
Well a simple solution to the problem :
1.Go to CWM,mount all the partitions and flash percy's kernel (CyanogenMod #2)
2.Go back and then go to advanced > reboot recovery
3.Now you'll be in Percy's recovery and from there, under mounts and storage, format data and format cache.
4.Go back and then go to mounts and storage and mount all the partitions.
5.Flash back to bieltv.3's kernel and reboot.
Finally, i had to flash flash stock Rom via Odin and go back to ultra gb.. Thanks for all the help guys
I have updated my phone to latest official 5.0.1 and have also installed the 355 mb update that came after the main lollipop update Have wiped cached and data and done a clean install yet i still have some of the lolipop bugs..They are as follows:
1. homescreen Wallpaper gets set to default wallpaper randomly.
2. Keyboard crashes few times in a day.
3. Using snapchat and other apps continuously causes the phone to reboot
4. Overheating...phone gets heated like mad.
I noticed most of this happens when I am on 3g and on wifi everything works smooth.
my phone is rooted. Please let me know if there are tweaks or apps that i can install to fix these bugs. Thanks so much!

I think you should try some custom roms which base on android 5.0.1 for S4, suggest Omega Rom v28 .
This will fix those bugs easily
hey thankss! Can i install custom rom n retain my data or i will hv to wipe the data???

Start with a clean device. Thus wipe your data.
It's not needed to wipe your internal storage. But make sure to wipe /system, /cache en /data (without internal storage).
Hey thanks for your reply. Can you tell me how to wipe data without wiping internal storage ?? Generally when i wipe data or do a factory reset it wipes everything.

Dirty flash means flashing rom without any wipe or fomate, for flashing new rom it is advised to wipe system, cache, darvik cache and interal storage( atleast delete old app files) to avoid force close and other errors

U said u Wiped Data and cache before flash, so I assume you are not Wiped system. I always go to advanced wipe and select cache, data, darvik cache, system and internal storage,. And I never ever faced force close issues
