I know benchmark doesn't really mean squat-diddily-it, but man, was a little disappointed? My father-in-law has the Note 3, and his runs a 24K stock, just ran it with my S5 and it's 14k?? SAME as my S4!!! Also below is my speedtest.
Oops, I didn't really put in effect the difference the S5 is 2g, and Note 3 is 3, but still thought it would be a little better

are you running ART or dalvik? dalvik should be mid to high 20's, art seems to be in the mid teens.

For reference. I downloaded Speed test App and did it one reading prior post. I've seen these speeds plenty before.

I use 4G for speed test. You can see it on screenshot. And I usually have between 25-40.

Ok both me and my coworker have our evos side by side. We are both running fresh rom 3.2 and everything in the software area of our "about phone" settings are exactly the same.. why does he have full bars and 3G service, while i only have 2 bars and 3G keeps going in and out?
If they are both the same in settings then that is weird. I can say this though, when using the stock kernel with fresh I get lower 3g speeds and with kings kernel 9 I am getting real high numbers and 3g is lightning fast. There is a big difference in speed when it comes to kernels. I got 1200 down and 600 up with HTC and 2200 down and 800 up with Kings. This makes a big difference when loading web pages and downloads.
Make sure you update the profile on both phones when you run the test also

My parents both have completely stock, unrooted EVO's and my Mom told me last night she doesn't get as good a data signal as my Dad.. not sure why. They have all the latest.. PRI, PRL, all that stuff..
It is weird. I told her if her signal doesn't improve after I root and hook her up with some CM goodness then we may have to get her a new one.. I guess..
Were you outside in an open space? Maybe one is in line with a steel beam, duct work, your big head and the tower... j/k man relax (I mean about the duct work).
Physical damage? A buddy of mine dropped his EVO, and now he consistently gets 1 or 2 bars less then the other evos in the office.

pretty sure they do - he mentions in the OP that everything in the software area of their "about phone" settings are exactly the same, so that would include the baseband (radio version).
Unless the OP misread...
Try using the app RealSignal in the market to measure your actual signal, you have a data and voice signal and this will give you a number you can actually compare the phones against eachother signal/noise ratio
Check your actual SNR I found the bars to be wrong a lot of the times.

Always come from a rogue app. Something is stuck in memory. Reboot, check, if still does it, uninstall last couple of apps, if still does it, factory reset.

If this isn't widespread (GSMArena's been playing hard with the N3 and plenty of people here have run some pretty intensive benchmarking programs) it's likely some combination of what you individually installed/uninstalled. The N2's on 4.1 with Exynos/Mali and the programs you're running now are on 4.3 with Snapdragon/Adreno. Not exactly the same environment to make a comparison. I'd expect the N3 to run hotter than the N2 out-of-the-box.

Based on your baseband it's snapdragon800, the quad core one.
Any chance you can go through the checks listed to understand if it's an app that caused it?
Thanks!:good:

The phone seems ok now. Like a member said its probably some app that got stuck or something.
another nice thing i noticed u can turn on flash support in dolphin browser to allways on. Even though we dont have flash this wasnt possible on note2.
Yes, there somewhat of a heating issue. Still not sure what triggers it and how. I don't care much about it, but I dare bet the very high clock speed of the processor has something to do with it.

Cool, one of the reviews referenced it getting hot the first time they used it, they chalked it up to all of the updating of pre-installed apps loading up the memory
This happened to me with my unlocked 9005 snapdragon n3.
Only in the first 3 hours or so.
When I looked at battery consumption it showed that a process called sonetging like "indexing service" was chewing on the battery power.
I think the search feature was indexing my content which was on ny sd card for the sfind to work fast.
Now the temperature is cool but a bit warmer than my previous N2.

Yes, it is VZW model.
The general consensus is to hold off on it until lollipop, but I will probably try it at some point anyway.
Trying it on mine now. Took quite sometime to optimize. So far, I've restarted 3 times and each time it has optimized like 60 apps..not sure how long I will stay with it

Yeah, I ran into the same thing. The interesting thing is that on first reboot it had to optimize some 250 apps, I did a restart to see if it would do the same, this time it is optimizing again but only 87.
I almost never reboot my phone so I will try it out for a couple days, see if there is any battery gains or losses.
So far, I have seen no benefit. I do hate that most every time I restart the phone, it seems to optimize the same 25 files increasing the boot time. I have switched back to Dalvik for until specific and substantial advantages are verified and posted. If miliseconds reduction in UI response are the only benefit, I am not in that big of a hurry.
Hope this helps.
Only thing I noticed is that S health crashes now that ART is enabled. Which I normally wouldn't care about, except I'm one of the few that likes the heart rate feature. -___-

It might be related to the ammount of apps you have installed, the background apps you had running and so on.
To be honest, we can't even notice the difference between 67000 and 71000 in "real life" usage... Benchmarks will always be just benchmarks.

You know what, the more I'm thinking about it the more I wonder if he actually has a Blackphone 2 and whether that score is faked somehow, as there are no details available about the release of the Blackphone 2 or even definitive specs anywhere.
I mean, if it has a Snapdragon 615 as suspected, there is no way it could get close to that score.

As a gaming I always configure my phones for performance using Antutu as a baseline. For some reason the top score im getting with gaming battery saver off is 120k... 110k was my worst.
I saw some low FPS on the 3D bench which almost made me return the phone. The N7 was always hitting tops 145k so this is weird to me.
I know for some people benchmarks are a waste of time but for me, low scores indicate an issue.

That is low. I've watched a lot of reviews on Youtube and it seems right at 145k is the average for the V20. I'd take it back and get a new one.
Try running the test after not using the device for a while. My highest score was 148k. If The device was hot it was ~100k. Mine heats up while gaming more than I'd like.
I'm over 140k.. fine here
All of you using T mobile version or at least snapdragon 820? If so what did you took, remove or uninstall from the phone? I right now drained the whole battery for its first fully recharge and im still looking on how to enter the boot menu in order to clean the cache completely.
Thanks for the help.
I had to give up my Note 7 and bought LG v20 yesterday.
Believe me, LG V20 feels like much more faster than Note 7.
All the bloatwares make Samsung phones slow. LG V20 has very minimal of their brand apps, and those are necessary, like Remote control app, etc. Rest are just pure Android apps.

Best to do benches after a fresh reboot. Minimize crap running I'm background. Plus disable or uninstall bloat. Benches are just that, a place to start to see how hardware compared to another. Your low score could mean nothing.
Geez I might hafta update to the v20 from the v10 since the 808 only achieves a 1/3rd of the scores some of you have gotten.

The 808 is hot garbage. LG should have never used it. It always ran hot and bogged down with minimal effort.

I think the reason the 808 was chosen was because the 810 at the time was running hot and throttling making the performance terrible. I am glad the 810 wasn't used at the time.

Is there a way to take screenshots in jpg? Is really annoying having to upload my screenshots somewhere else in order to convert them.
