windows 8 ultrabook or tablet.which to buy ?

friend,
iam looking for a portable windows 8 pro machine ,productivity is more important for me than apps so iam skipping ipad and android tabs.
iam confused whether to go for an ultrabook or tab. i already have a laptop with good specs.
i have a couple of questions to ask.
1.is ultrabook a good alternative to tablet?
2.a windows 8 tab with keyboard setup like dell venue pro 11 will be as comfortable to use/portable as an ultabook?
3.is the new Intel Atom quad-core Bay Trail processor powerful enough to run average legacy apps
thanks in advance

please suggest windows 8 tablet running intel atom baytrail

hello XDA folks,
iam planning to get a 10-11 inch (full HD) windows 8/8.1 tablet running on intel atom baytrail as my budget is limited, 550 pounds to be exact.please suggest any which is currently available or the ones which might be available by christmas time.
thanks in advance
ONly ones in that size are the asus t100 and the dell venue 11
T100 does not have a full hd screen but is a very nice tablet for that amount of money.
That leaves you with just the dell venue 11 then. Which is also set to be running at a higher clock speed than the t100 which for some reason is 1.3ghz which is as low as baytrail offers. The 8" tablets are higher clock speeds.

The t100 is nice i have one and so far its been fine, it can boost upto 1.86 and iv been able to play football manager 2014 on it, i think having 1080 screen makes things look to small on the screen.

It can boost to 1.86 yes but its base clock is 1.3 whereas the other 8" tablets and dells venue 11 are at 1.8ghz as their base clock speed before turbo mode. I'm not trying to say the T100 is bad by the way. Its just the OP said he wanted full HD which the T100 doesnt have (although I agree with you on not having it on a 10" screen) and the venue is genuinely higher specced. It is alot more expensive though. T100 price is absolutely amazing.
you can consider the HP Omni 10 tablet too, 10.1 full hd touchscreen with z3770 bay trail.... 399 euro/dollars
thanks a lot guys.any idea when baytrail 10 inch from lenovo, acer,hp etc will come to market ?

HP's was mentioned (omni, which I hadnt heard of). Lenovo released the Miix 10 recently, but its clovertrail, seems they couldnt wait the matter of weeks for baytrail. Acer released a new 8" and also a haswell 10", no bay trail 10" yet.

[Q] Android 4.4 running Windows 8.1

Hey Guys,
I have a Chinese tablet with the following settings below.
Atom Processor Z3735G or Z3735E
RAM 1 GB
HD 8 GB
Windows 8.1
8 inch screen
As I saw that Samsung has the Ativ Q, where runs Android within the Windows like an app.
Given this I wonder if I can do the same in this Chinese tablet that runs Windows 8.1.
If possible can you give me this?!

Windows on lenovo tablet yoga 2 pro 13.3

Seeing on the Internet what is done with the tablet as teclast x98 I wanted to ask if was possible to have a dual boot with Windows 8.1 on this lenovo ... Has Intel CPU and 2GB of ram and with the integrated projector would be really great that we can use Windows... It's possible?
Nothing?
Upppppppp
I'd love to see this happen.
A friend has the Teclast X98 3G and it's awesome to have a 3 in 1 device (Windows 8.1 / Android and 3G data and voice calling).
Someone needs to make the above happen for our Yoga Pro.

Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 Adroid ROM

Hi there,
At the risk of repeating a thread.
The Windows 10 on my Thinkpad Tablet 2 is slow. I hate it.
Can someone point me in the right direction to and Adroid ROM that works for this tablet.
Lenovo Tablet 2 Intel Atom Z2760 Processor (1M Cache 1.80 GHz)TBC mid Jan 2 1 5 262.10 5 262.10 ZAR

ThinkPad ABGN+ BT 3G 3 CELL USB WIN 8 SL 32

I don't own it, but for lenovo there is a painful support. Why don't you install linux??
I think Atom is x86 and x86_64 compatible.
My rule is never buy "Windows products" pure s**t
