Hi there,
is there any way to connect an USB mass storage device to the Wizard (MDA Vario) by using the mini USB connector?
Ciao! Bjoern
I was reading all your discutions, but I'm not clear with the USB ports. You can use them to acces data from them? It has USB on the go?
Thank you
i'd like to know this as well - anyone ?
Two USB ports on the keyboard dock, and they support:
Nearly all usb storage devices (incl. external hardrives)..
Xbox360/PS3 controller
Mouse
On the tablet itself, there's no USB port but a micro SD slot.
Since the S4 does not have the USB Mass Storage device anymore, how can I safely remove the USB cable from the PC?
when I right-click on the Galaxy S4 Portable Device icon on the PC, there is no option to EJECT or "SAFELY Remove Hardware" like on the standard USB devices.

MTP is a lot safer, because the PC doesn't get to the low level file system details, so it can't ruin them with a bad unplug.
There is no "safely remove" or anything because the phone is never mounted by the computer. Its just transferring over MTP.
Just don't pull the cable while transferring and you'll be good.
When i plug-in the cable, the usb icon appears and disappears on the status bar, i also have enabled the external speakers option on the tab's settings.
Welp....

It's probably due to the marvell variant not having otg capability
It could be mtp interfering.
Enable usb debugging with notification enabled.
Select the notification and it should bring you to usb options.
But you will likely on have choices between mtp and ptp [camera/picture]
and not ums [usb mass storage] which is/should be the one you need.
Do you have bluetooth options? That might be the way. :fingers-crossed:

My tablet supports OTG and usb debugging was enabled it was already in mass storage option and enabled external speakers option, FML.
And also, my iPhone 4 and iPad Air 2 and iPad 2 work easily without problems.

Is there any way to get mass storage working on this phone via an adapter or something?
