Hi;
I have my new G S5. and I have an sd card installed also. Is there a way to transfer my apps and their data from my old galaxy nexus. I can get the apps downloaded from the playstore but I then need to re-input the data, logins, etc.
What is the correct way to get my ringtones that i installed from the nexus to the S5. Where to put them?
Thank you for the help!!

Hi all,
Looks likely that I am going to get a S4, I will still keep my very much loved S2 but I have a query....
S2 is rooted, Redirection Remix 3.1.1 I also have the full Titanium Backup pro
If I backup all of my apps and data on my rooted S2, save this to my SD card, then put the SD card in the new S4 will I be able to restore all my apps and data to the non-rooted S4?

Why would the GS4 be non-rooted? you can use motochopper to Root the SG4 now. It literally takes 1 minute to root your SG4 now. :cyclops:
You can't use TB without root. Sorry.

Still a little dicey sounding on the 9500 but the 505 has root making it no problem. I would think the 9500 will get solved if it isn't already shortly. Its a good idea to avoid restoring system apps and only restore user apps. This means you will have to go through your various system settings again some of which will be remembered by google depending on your settings, others will not. Google will also restore some of your system data to system apps like gmail but not all of them again depending on your settings. Best to hold on to your old phone until you are sure you have everything transferred across if you haven't done this a lot and know the drill for getting everything. Its very easy to forget something if you aren't practiced at moving on to the next thing.

Hi,
You can move the app to the sd card, but you cannot move the data.
The only way you can move the app AND the data is to use FOLDERMOUNT
Sorry if this is too basic a question and I should know this already, but... I've currently got a rooted E4GT that I've had for quite some time. I'm planning on moving to the GS4 in a few days and wanted to know how to move certain applications WITH their data intact from the E4GT to the GS4. Prime example would be the application ColorNote. When I install the application on the new GS4 how do I import the existing data that's been saved on the E4GT? I have set the application to backup the data to SD card on the E4GT already but I don't know how to import the backup back into the application (unless it will do it automatically if I put the same SD card into the GS4??).
There are probably other apps as well. I know the data is backed up for each of them but I don't know how to restore to the new phone...
Any pointers for this newbie??
1. DL Helium
2. Select which apps you want to backup... *MAKE SURE YOU SAVE TO EXT SD CARD!*
3. Get your new GS4.
4. Insert your SD Card into your new GS4.
5. DL Helium on your GS4.
6. DL all apps that you backed up to your ext SD Card.
7. Restore app data from Helium from your ext SD Card.
Hopefully that helps man.
Hi Guys
I recently bought a new samsung galaxy S4 i-9500 32GB unlocked. I have bought a samsung 64gb SDHCMemory card in order to increase the storage for data and moving apps.
The phone is unlocked and rooted prior the purchase of the memory card.
My 1st question is related to the new samsung update which allows moving apps to storage card; is this available for the i-9505 only? Because i can't see it although i am using the latest firmware. Or maybe this is due to rooting my phone?
I went and downloaded the LINK2SD app and followed the instructions listed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2126363
I managed to do everything except the "install location" in setting under NATIVE APPS2SD, which doesn't allow me to proceed: i get this error message "Apps2SD is not supported by your device, because your device has a primary external storage....."
However i still managed to link an application using LINK2SD after all. Does it mean i am able now to move apps to external storage?
I hope I have described the issue well and that you will help me by answering my questions
NB: Forgot to add that "enabling swap" has FAIL status in swapper 2
many thanks
I have the same error on link2sd (Omegav14).But I don't care, I use appmgr instead

thanks , i will open a new thread soon, as i have more serious issue now
Phone stuck at boot and tried to unroot but in vain
My S5 phone (5.0.2 rooted on stock rom).
I only have internal 5gb left. So, I'd like to install apps / games onto my SD card instead. I see some apps here and there but I honestly don't know which one / method works the best.
Thanks in advance!
