Hi,
I have a D802 and I see 2 solutions:
1. Stock roms prepared by the great devs here + xposed modules;
2. AOSP: personally tried AOSB and LiquidSmooth beta 3; I really haven't found major bugs in the second one and I give You my recomendation for it.
Because of the knock-code, there is advantage of the LG roms. I hope to see more progress on the custom rom side, but incorporation of LG sources will take some time.

Hi all,
after 6 months with wonderful Pacman' AOSP roms, now I've to change due to Pacman' project end ( the developing is dead ) :crying:
I've tried with another AOSP based, the legendary AOKP. Latest seems to be 21.09.14. But I've problems with activating the GPS... So, my question is : at the moment, what's the best AOSP based rom ? With a customization like AOKP or Pacman, or something else, no problem for me, I would like to try. I don't want to remain with a good rom but no more updated :crying:
Thx all
Slimroms aka Slimkat... nice and clean. a lot of custom features.
Uhm, some months ago I tried Slim roms but due to some bugs and due to the waiting time from one build to next one, I looked for something else. But I'm able to return to look this, thx !
PS And what about AICP roms ?

"lot of custom features" goes against "AOSP" in my opinion doesn't it?
What's the way to go if I want the Nexus experience?
IMO the most solid aosp rom at the moment for the g2 is Mahdi. Camera quality is decent, audio quality too... give it a try!

And this one has often updates ? Just to know
I'll take a look... Thx !
So, solved my sensors & rotation problems, I can return to my choice of another AOSP rom. At the moment :
* AICP
* AOKP
* MAHDI
Hello guys,
I'm acutally running the X-Note build 20 stuck on Android 4.4.2
I have some problems to recognize a good rom for me so I'm here asking for suggestions. I don't need anything customized. If you could indicate a CLEAN stock rom that could let me be updated with the lastest android versions, I would be really thankful.
Thanks in advance
One of the best you can find is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649176
I am looking for a stable nexus like ROM for note 3, I am thinking of getting the next nexus device and want to try and sample the experience for the next few months. Any suggestions as to which ROM will suit me best. I am looking for something stable and reliable?
There is far too many options available now.
Should I go for something like omega ROM? I don't normally flash ROMs but I am sure I will figure it all out.
AOSP Roms
Your should forget Samsung TW crapware and flash an AOSP Rom.
Try Slim if you want lean and stable or Euphoria to remain stable and have more customization options.

Happy flashing...
Many thanks for your reply, I think I will give slim a try.

i suggest cm based roms, bigger choice and more community support through shear numbers LOL
perhpas i have t add that i tried almost any rom on 7 devices. nevertheless slim is one of the very best roms around, well maintained. i just need a few more features and xposed is not yet stable enough for me and app settings does not yet work.
Slim used to be my Rom of choice until these last months when we can't have neither visibility nor understanding on what is happening in/to the team.
And I have switched from the Galaxy "S" series to "Note" series, so although I'm very fond of AOSP, it's hard to find an AOSP rom with the native TW features, mainly S-Pen features that I used quite a lot.
I've tried Aryamod and found it nice. My daily driver so far.

I use the multi-window feature a lot so I kept returning to touchwiz roms.
better battery life and better s pen support is also a plus.
currently the best rom in my opinion is aryamod 5.3, but you can wait until 5.4 comes out.
the most important thing is to go to the OTA app that comes with the rom and flash the "no 3minit battery" zip, which will return your battery icon to default instead of the retarded 3minit one.
good luck
Hello! I've been using Cloudy ROM for a long time but now I feel lack of RAM on my G2 Int. That's why I search for the ROM as close to pure Android as possible. Please, advice me some. Thanks!
P.S. I record a lot of video so tell me what to install in addition to this ROM in order to capture nice photos and videos. Thanks a lot.
Resurrection Remix
Give a try to Resurrection Remix rom, one of the best I've been testing.
Any LG ROM is better than any AOSP/CM ROM for G2. Fact. Stay on LG ROMs.

Both roms have pros and cons.
On AOSP (MM) multitasking is much better.
On LG Stock camera and battery is better.

You can try exodus and cm13 or blisspop.
I have benchmarked on exodus rom , clean install, via antutu benchmark and i get low score than my currently installed lollipop stock with bunch of apps and stuff.
Anyway , for me , if you dont want lots of customization and stuff, or not looking to get a marshmallow on your device, then flash stock lollipop, root, install twrp, install dorimanx kernel, greenify with exposed, and enjoy highest possible battery life.
go for the rom called Google edition 1.5. Flash Dorimanx. Be happy.
I use Dirty Unicorns with Lambda Dominó kernel and right now i have the most high batt/speed i ever had on my G2...
I'd say:
- for lightweight stock experience take somboon's stripped-down rom
- for a modern UX rom, take Ice-x rom. Take this one if You want to focus on photos and videos.
- for an up-to-date original android experience take Dirty Unicrons and Exodus roms. Both are AOSP base, both offer stability and lots of features.
These roms don't offer milions of customisations, but provide a great experience with excelent batterty life. At least for my D802.
I used all of them them as car navigation and did a lot of document photographing for my work.
All 4 are good daily drivers and never failed me.
It is up to You to tune the roms to Your needs. I have found out that both Dirty Unicrons and Exodus don't really need a custom kernel.
However Dorimanx's kernel is highly recommended for stock-based roms.
So I recomend You Ice-X with Dorimanx's kernel, but I don't know which version will work best for You.
I add that the AOSP MM roms are heated much more than the stock. Stock 25ºC-36ºC and 32ºC-44ºC AOSP...
With the lambda kernel and underclocking they improve a bit, but still warming up the phone rather than the stock, especially when using some app like the camera, gps,...
- For AOSP MM and great customization, Resurrection Remix rom [6.0.1_r46][UBER-GCC 4.9][CM13], great rom, + kernel lambda stable, improve overheating.
- For stock rom for my the best is ROM 5.0.2. stock based SRKG2-4-10 (Fast,Stable,Yummy) [3 In 1 ROM with Thai Food Names]
Thinking about switching from cloudy 3.3 to a custom rom.
Is the cm13 the best now or is there something similar or better?
Also, what kernel should i be using if i decide to switch?
You can try CM13 based Roms as well.
I'm on MIUI8 Rom right now which looks really nice! And it has some useful tools you can only find on MIUI Roms. But...it has got a few bugs which developer is always trying to fix them but well...they might be annoying for some people!
You can also try some CM13 builds which are bug-free and smoother but...it's pure Android so no special tool. It's up to you
But I'm pretty sure that Lambda kernel is the best kernel to use on CM/AOSP based Roms. You may want to give it a try.
which pie rom is stable and bugless
answer me plzzz
You can try these
First of all I don't think there's no such ROM as BUG-LESS. Even our X00TD's official stock ROM has many bugs. But yes there are some ROMs, stable enough to make you feel awesome. They have bugs but it shouldn't affect your experience. You can try the followings, I've tried them personally.
Pixel Experience Official : A full stock Pie experience. Not much customization.
DOT OS Official : Fully customized and one of the best looking custom ROM out there.
Havoc OS Official : I'm currently using this one. It'll provide you options to fully customize your device. Battery life of the Kernel is good as well.
Let me know if you've some other ROMs (with lesser bugs) as well, I'll give'em a try too....!!
Hope it helps....!

First off, wrong place to post. Second, there is no best kernel or ROM. Everything has issues, just that some don't effect everybody.
Kernels u can try: TheRagingBeast, Rawwork, Darkonah, Azure, PBH, Singh, etc. Try all and settle on one. Rawwork is my personal favorite.

I agree. In fact it's better than havoc because it's well polished and 99.99% bug free(could be totally bugless). Going to try dotos now.
