It would help if you post screen shots of kernel wake locks and partial wake locks too.

Try to wipe date/factory reset & wipe cache
If the problem didnt gone try to flash stock firmware

I have just done a factory reset on it so cannot provide that. What are the main causes of this problem. I will re download BBS and get a more detailed view soon too. I am not rooted. Complete stock.
Download stock firmware from www.sammobile.com

I do not want to break your illusions, however last time when I checked this link, the BTU was UK unbranded... something changed, or you are just unable to search properly?

No, you are wrong, there are both branded and unbranded... TTT for example is unbranded.
Anyway, Take a look to this to discard same issue: if so, as you will see at last posts, it is controlled but not fixed:

The screenshot you provided doesn't give us much information.
Based on the screenshot your screen stays on all the time. Then it's normal that it doesn't go to sleep.
So what excactly is the problem?

That's a 3G wake lock issue. Also my issue as I posted you some posts above is a 3G issue related, and surely caused by same bug. My suggestion is to try my half solution to check posted in last posts. I will paste again:

I neither solved my issue even flashing amounts of stock ROMs even from China, stock kernels and modems, and custom ROM as cm11, same issue with all...

The sleep wake is there when my Gear is not even connected or even when bluetooth is off.
Since 4.3 my battery life has been poor, going to 4.4 was even worse, on both upgrades wiped cache and data numerous times, installed apps one by one, still nothing.
Finally tried a battery recal, not rooted so purely a full run down to flat and then a fully charge (1 cycle) and its sorted.
Back to nearly 2 days with moderat use, versus barely 1 day.

Hello guys,
So I have the same problem as other, apparently Android OS is consuming a lot of battery. Before my upgrade I could easily have my phone last an entire day, now around 4pm I need to charge it again as it is already around 20% with very log usage. If I fully charge it and leave it unplugged overnight, it will go from 100% to 75%. I have seen other thread with similar issues but those are usually are related to having some app keep the phone awake. In my case this happen even after a factory reset with no apps installed.
My GPS and all location services are off too.
Any ideas? We should get to the bottom of this!
For some reason WIFI is on 100% of the time, despite the fact that it is set to go to sleep when the screen is off. Also the phone is "awake" 99.4% of the time, that is very concerning and there must be something that is keeping the phone awake all that time.

Hi.
U might want to go to Google play store and select "do not auto updates".
Another thing to check is; got to Settings/MyDevice/Accessibility and unchecked Notification Reminder.
Next is; go to Google Settings app, open Android Device Manager and uncheck "Remotely report this device".
Reboot after making these changes and check BBS app after 4 hours.
Hope that these could bring down the high Android OS and phone awake.
Cheers.
I have applied the changes you suggested and I will report what I find. Thank you!
I did what you recommended and I even disabled push notifications from samsung marketplace and it did help but only a little. Now wifi is active only 85% of the time and the phone is awake 80% of the time. It is a small improvement but there is still something wrong as this metrics were recorded over a period of 8 hours while I was sleeping, I would expect that the awake time and the WIF should be at their minimum . I am currently using the latest official firmware, I wonder if Samsung will release some update soon.

How did you upgrade to 4.3? Ota, kies, Odin? What version of Odin? What model you have, i9500 or i9505?
Your problem seems that it doesn't enter to deep sleep processor state correctly.

Bad decision. Chainfire (the cfautorroot author) includes that version inside the zip even being a file for our s4 because a reason, and he explained in his web...
Ok, do this: flash again using Odin 3.07 or 3.09 your complete stock 4.3 Rom without making wipe data (you won't lose your data, but if you don't mind to lose them, then ok, wipe data). Then try again with no root yet if you can see with better battery starts that you enter well in deep sleep.
Once you check this make root flashing cfautoroot using Odin 1.85 and check again deep sleep.

OK I will try that. But I have had this problem even before having root in Android 4.3. Before I flashed 4.3 everything was fine, I even used the correct Odin to get root and everything had been working fine for months. When I flashed 4.3 I was back to full stock without root and I had the heavy battery drain. I just recently rooted my phone again using Odin3 so I could disable even more applications and remove some bloatware.
I really dont care about root, it was just my last resort.

The reason of a battery drain can be different when no rooted and rooted. I mean, when no rooted it is normal a high consumption because all no using apps and knox, but not because any problem in entering in deep sleep state. When you root incorrectly you can delete all these apps and knox, but if a problem with deep sleep happen, it will drain because a different reason... I don't know of I explained well, sorry for my English...

It has the same symptoms as before. I really dont think it is at the level of the CPU not entering the deep sleep state. I think it may be more related to some service requiring network connection constantly. That would explain why the Wifi is so active, wich would explain why the Wifi remains on, which would explain why the CPU does not go into a deep sleep state. I have noticed that if 3g and wifi are off, then the battery drain is normal. That is my theory but I have not been able to find anything else in particular.

Yes, without 3g and wifi there is almost no consumption. Also if 3g is poor, draining is very strong because it is constantly trying to connect and disconnected... when i am in a place with a poor coberture, i just switch off the data or put it in flight mode.
It is very difficult to diagnose a battery draining without correct screenshots...

The screenshots are the same as my first post. Should I post it again or could I just embed them here? Should I add more screenshots?
I will keep digging to see if I can find some service that is keeping the CPU awake and I will keep flashing more firmwares to see if the problem is solved with an update.

Hi everyone.
I recently flashed the latest Indian ROM from sammobile. Everything worked fine until recently I started facing these random color and display problems. Please help me.
I have also attached pics.
Hi screenshot 1 and 3 are also in the list of problems I faced, also other then that I had a black triangle appearing on the right side of the screen which is a problem you haven't mentioned or faced maybe.
I have a new N900 Indian Version.
Since you are facing the same problems as well then it is safe to assume that this is a software bug and should be addresse by a software update, I was a little worried and thought that there might be problem in hardware.
If you also faced the issue where the screen turned black from a side of phone then please do mention.
These problems happenend twice and I had to restart everytime.

My screen flickering used to appear when i set the brightness level to the lowest and it used to appear only in places where the white color is dominant that's it mostly with pictures and when i open one of drawing apps because the canvas is white to make that stops i tried to set the brightness to a bit higher level and yeah the flickering stopped but i can't do that all the day because of the battery.
It doesn't appear in the download mode or anywhere else it's just mostly where all the screen is white funny thing is if you did a screenshot the flickering won't appear
So i downgraded to lollipop i can hardly see a flickering i bet even if it was there it's not noticeable

Never had issues with previous ZTE software version and neither with many other phones latest years.

Well strange things happened.
Downgrade to B10 and worked fine.
Upgrade OTA to B11 and still worked even after resetting my phone.
After that upgrade manually to 7.1.1(B01) and again worked even after resetting the phone.
And now the strange behavior begins.
Upgrade OTA to B02 and not perform hard reset and worked.
BUT when made clear cache partition and reboot the phone and now it's not working.
How can this be happening.
Can you please resetting(clear data) the app and relaunch it and tell me if its working or not.
Something going wrong with B02.
I don't have any other app installed on the device only 500 firepaper.

Not exactly.
The app is opening but when trying to open wallpaper configurations through settings of the app simple doesn't open-not response at all.
So in that case I can't set any wallpaper at all either home screen or lock screen.
Btw again downgrade this time to 7.1.1(B01) and made hard reset and setup as new the device.
The only app installed was 500 firepaper and worked fine.
Immediately upgrade OTA to B02 and after that the app stop working.
If go to open wallpaper configurations simple doesn't response.
Something wrong with B02 release by ZTE.
Never had issue with that app all that 2-3 years I'm using it.

You should report this in the 'ZTE Axon 7 EU Community' Facebook group. They always report every issue directly to ZTE.

I'm thinking of reporting that issues at ZTE mobile de forum.
As ZTE Germany is the responsible of development and delivering new software version to A2017G device in Europe.
We can report it in English since they allow it.

I'm having this same problem on my OnePlus 3.
I dome some digging and found out this problem has to do with the system app livewallpaperpicker, now that is installed, my phone See's the app(firepaper) as installed and when I touch open configuration it actually opens. Hope this helps, I love this wallpaper app also!
The only solution found for now is enabling confirmation from B01 and then upgrade to B02 is working.
I just must not perform any kind hard reset or app clear cache/clear data.
Then I couldn't make it work and I'm afraid of attempting any other solution because I don't want to broke something.
I hope the next update fix this things for G version.
It's really very very bizarre issue and somehow ZTE screw up with latest update.

You could try to recalibrate the battery, there are methords that require a rooted devices but also methods with no root access required. Take a look here: http://droidupdatez.blogspot.nl/2016/04/fix-samsung-galaxy-s7-battery.html
Thanks. I did it. Will see if this repeats

Apologies to digging up an old thread but I am having the same issue. This is on LiteROM Android 8.0.0 with MoRoKernel 3.18.127.
Any known fixes for this?
