1. is it possible to remove the app icons from the lock screen so no icons show,
2. is it possible to not have any icons or widget on a home screen other than the icon to access all the apps
3. what about removing scroll line above the apps at the very bottom of the homescreen
can these be done without a launcher?
1, yes I did it because I wasn't issuing them
2, maybe
3, also maybe

how do i do this?
1. LockScreen Settings-> Shorcuts and there you can select for each position to have no application.
2. You can remove everything by drag and drop
3. I have seen here on xda a method, but I don't remember where. Could be some xposed modules, not sure

is it possible not to any have any widgets on the lock screen and or remove the tap her to add a widget?
From stock rom, I don't think is possible, but we have very good developers here, maybe someone created a mod for lockscreen

3. - this can be done by modyfing systemui or framework; I can't do it, but if You want to learn, there are even some guides on Youtube.
@joeynox
You can hide the divider line with G2 TweaksBox (xposed module) and the dev has the option to hide "tap here to add a widget" in his to-do list.

You would need to mod LGLockscreen.apk in JB roms or LGKeyguard.apk in KK.

Are there any mods that allow you to tweak the status bar, add/remove items, hide the bar, etc.?

If you are rooted "HoneyBar" will hide the notification bar. Also look on github there's a free one there but you also need root for this.

Well, if you talk about the upper bar, installing Launcher ex or pro will remove that.
If you refer to the lower bar, you can get I believe Honeybar from the market. It's a paid app. Also, somewhere in the xda forums, there is a lik=nk to a free app that does the same thing.
You can make it appear when you want.
Note, that if you use a launcher app, and the bar remover, the screen may "shift". I think it depends on which you installed first. As I have encountered this a couple times after flashing roms, and installing apps.
I think the correct sequence, is to install the bar remover first, then the launcher app.
Thanks peeps! That's exactly what I need.

To anyone who rooted their phone yet, have you tried Wanam on your ROM, and how well has it worked?

I tried the Wanam xposed module and it gave me weird results.
The normal behavior of holding home to view recent apps, broke and changed to search instead, making me unable to open recent apps.
The multiwindow option in Wanam added all apps to the multiwindow list, but they weren't actually there. For example, when trying to place baconreader app in my multi window list, it was actually Samsung Apps. Really strange.
***********************
HOWEVER
the multi window xposed module works beautiful
Also, 4 way power options didn't work.
Really buggy if you ask me.

Thanks for the reply! Have you tried some of the customization options like notifcation background, transparent toggles, changing status bar color and icons?

Was just sitting around looking for the same thing? Used it to have direct links to my Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings.
found a work around for this...
Things you'll need.
1. Photos of the settings widget you'd like to add to your home screen. ( You might not need this depending on what setting or settings your wanting to use.)
2. Apex launcher.
3. Desktop visualizer.
After installing both applications open desktop visualizer and proceed loading the setting image that you'd like.
Once done you'll be prompted to select an action you'd like to correspond with the image. Select other then select apex actions, should be at the top of the list.
Scroll all the way down to the S category and select settings, should read 247 options, if not your at the wrong settings.
Select your desired function and your all set.
You can uninstall both applications. This won't effect any functionality.
Hope this helps and drop me line if it does.
.....
I am looking for this and I guess my question to you sherrouse is, why do I need photos and desktop visualizer? Can't Apex Launcher add a widget for any setting I want with some stock images and just work?

Unfortunately, I don't think apex launcher can create widgets that can be utilized by Touch wiz home. However the process might work if you intend to replace T.w home with apex as you daily launcher...

Just tried quickshortcut. It works pretty darn good. Created a location setting shortcut just like I wanted.
Thanks.
There are some nice enough developers to include a option to hide an icon from a Live Wallpaper settings. But that's only with about 20% of them. The rest are just creating a mess there. I have a lot of these Live Wallpapers, I often like to change the looks of my home screen.
It has become really hard to find apps, well you either have to slowly browse through them all to find what you have installed, or remember the names of the apps. I think Google should give users an option to hide and manage hidden apps. Or is there already a way? (without rooting)
You can hide apps by going to settings, apps and selecting the app you desire and press disable. Those that are disabled won't appear on your app menu. This feature is on stock ROM or not.

I'm on android 4.4.2 and there is no such option. And wouldn't that disable the app altogether from usage?
Hi
I need the Home-screen on my ZL in Full-mode (expanded?), maybe without Pagination Marker and extra Row for Icons.
Im using Pie from GravityBox, without Navbar.
I'm searching 2 day's (and night's) for an Alternative to this Fullscreen.apk
Now (Lolli, root, Recovery) it didn't work anymore on my 6503.
Any Idea's how realized it?
Thx

Bro you can try serajr's "Xperia™ Xposed (LP)"
The feature you asked is available as option in additional quick tiles option.
I guess this is not right place to ask questions.[emoji6]

:cyclops:
O.k - (not really easy to find)
System Ui/Enable Extra Tiles/"Navigation Bar" - pull down QuickSettings + insert the icon and enable.
:good:
5th Row:
Home Launcher/Desktop/Grid-Numbers of Rows/"5"
----GEM Xposed can delete the Page Dots.
Now it looks like this!
Hurra
