Galaxy S4 i9505 no 4G/LTE Orange CH

Sorry for my bad english but i am swiss. i have a question. orange ch have startet 4g and my s4 dont find the network. the problem is on alls s4. how i can activate 4g? i dont want to wait an update from orange. my s4 is rootet and have omega v 3.0 rom with adam kernel. the htc one from my neighbor have the 4g on orange network. what i can make? thx for replys

The problem is the CSC file.
Go to Sammobile, search for your phone in firmware section. Check the latest CSC available for your phone. And then, start searching in these forums for your right one. Or use the app from the market (CSC changer S2/S3... something) and 'activate' the right CSC. (remember, it is OR - I don't advice to use both). You will probably need to make a factory reset (full wipe from recovery)..

EDit. i have installed csc changer. my s4 have BTU but swiss is ATU and i dont find it in this app

Hi I also have orange in Switzerland and tried many different combinations of firmware/modem/csc and didn't get the menu working.
But if you go to service mode with *#0011# -> menu back -> menu key input 1 -> menu back -> lte -> pref mode set -> change to gwl and reboot.
You won't get the option in settings but your phone will connect to 4g when available.

thx. this works, but i have found strings in the csc customer.xml. i wil try to enable 4g with the menu. i have the htc one from neighbor here so i can copi the orange settings. when it works i upload the file

By looking through the sec_csc found in the cache.img.ext4 in a csc.tar.md5 i found a file lteon_netlist.xml in \system\csc\common\system\etc. The swisscom entry is:
<whiteLists numeric="22801" ltestate="PS/CSFB" operator="Swisscom" country="Switzerland" defaultMode="GWL"/>
so we would have to add this for orange I guess

UPDATE: by looking through the csc of this firmware I9505XXUAME2_I9505MEOAME3_MEO which appears to be a portuguese one but with csc ME3 and whitelist date <!-- WHITELIST_20130520--> I found the exact entry I mentioned to add. I will try a bit with that later.

EDIT. my galaxy s4 it booting. i editet a file and i wont boot but i have reflashed omega v3 and it is booting

I flashed this firmware but didn't get the option, so I flashed back to the one I had before (NEE), both times without wipe though. Still didn't have the option. But today suddenly it was there.

So izolight, which ROM and kernel are you using to get the Orange.ch 4G activated? I am in Basel but still only see H+ and 3G

Thanks! Stock NEE? Nordic countries?? Really? If I flash this will I be able to flash Omega 3.0 over the top?
I flashed with a Swisscom SWC firmware before Omega - maybe this is my problem. I will give the service mode a try first though. Thanks again. :good:

I just noticed there is a new firmware for Switzerland

It seems this has AME2 as csc so the setting of GWL in service mode won't be necessary as Orange is already on the lte whitelist on this one.
I would try this.

I'm trying to connect to it with my SGH-M919 which supports LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/17

Orange uses Lte band 3 (1800).

The latest update already fix this problem. I got my 4g in Geneva

[Q/problem] bootlop, wifi and mobile network - none

I give up
my phone is from official poland samsung branch
everything was good but after install some Custom Rom I got boot loop
I did full wipe and tought it will help but didnt
I downloaded official 3files old(first) samsung rom and installed via odin with PIT
phone get up but no wifi and network GSM signal and back of my phone was very hot and after couple od seconds reboot itself
I have chacekd my CSC and I got CYO (greece) , one again I have downloaded official by this time one file rom for CYO region and install by odin v3.07. again no network, very hot phone and reboot after 40seconds ...
I have no idea what is going on ..
any help ?
just inform :
I can boot into recovery , and download mode
I can install CWM,TWRP

I have the same problem

I noticed that in download mode there are two new rows like bootloader enabaled something like that which was not there befor... can any body check. So may be this is the real problem for flashing stock rom by odin as bootloder is modified. So we should see bootloader for effected member and non effected member.

Hi guys I have an issue with my S4

the apn protocol is disabled, and cannot enable mobile data, therefore I cannot access internet.

If the APN is locked out, then usually it's because you have a carrier branded ROM installed and they disabled changing it to stop you using other networks. Flash a universal ROM without any branding. What's your current CSC?

SMA is the firmware CSC Code

Ok you're currently on Phillipines (Smart). There no unbranded ROM for that region, only 3 other networks - Sun Cellular, Open Line and Globe. So if you're using one of those networks you can flash one of those or there's a unbranded ROM available for the Malaysia region.

Well that's an XTE ROM which is for the Sun Cellular network. So if you're using that network it will work but if not, they may have also locked out the APN settings.

Grab that ROM then. The instructions to flash it are in the thread you posted - using Odin to flash the firmware

Csc issues flashing firmware

Guys I know this is not the right place to post my device Is a samsung galaxy s4 gt-I9505 previously I was using two Sammy phones a galaxy grand gt-i9082 and a galaxy s3 gt-I9300
My problem is this phone is running 4.3 and is carrier unlocked in India it belongs to UAE so if I flash a firmware from UAE will I get the career locked here???I checked sammobile it says UAE firmware (etisalat) may be the career their I don't want my career to be locked after flashing that firmware via odin how can I do it? How can I check pda csc and modem for my device pls don't consider as spam I checked and the are no dedicated forums do help me and if moderators find this irrelevant they're free to warn or delete this thank you all![emoji29]

1. Make a backup of your Internal memory.
2. Make a factory reset (Settings > Accounts > Back Up and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device > Delete All/Erase Everything.)
3. Dial *#1234# and attach what appears.

Here I got the csc and pda via phone app too and Sam mobile displays the region as unknown and it's 4.3 firmware I've made a reset luckily by 6 today in the evening

No. You can install Kies 3 and it will tell ya your correct CSC like in the pic attached. Tell me what CSC appears in Kies 3 and I will tell ya what firmware you have to download from Sammobile

Flashing new firmware won't lock ur phone if your phone is unlocked legally by IMEI (no for service mode coz this only worked in android 4.2.2). You can update directly to android 4.4.2 if you wish without problems

I can flash saudi arabia or UAE'S kit kat firmware via odin no issues right???and i looked sammobile no kk for these regions il make a cross check again thanks again![emoji16]

But remember verify your CSC with Kies3 before flash any firmware if you wanna receive OTA updates in future and avoid problems with other firmwares. Attach one screenshot of Kies 3 and I will help ya better.

The main issue was I dint know if it was service mode unlock or imei unlock finally I got a confirmation I flashed Saudi Arabia firmware and it's all working fine[emoji7]

Okay so I tried to flash the Nordic file for kitkat and now the phone is stuck on boot up logo... Don't know which file to install. This is what it says on the box

But that's for the wrong operator, she doesn't use Tre. And I get that that baseband is for lollipop, I want for kitkat.

Your firmware is here. The last three letters of your model number on the box are the device's CSC, which is the regional code Samsung uses to customize the firmware for specific countries. Using that, it was just a matter of drilling to the right place on sammobile.com.

@Leo_83 mate you mention you want the firmware for Sweden and that baseband, not that baseband for a Kitkat rom........I am not quite sure that is possible as they are from different TW versions.....

Yeah I was confused about the baseband, I should just have said kitkat. I know now that new version means new baseband.

Strange that is the version I downloaded for 4.4.2.

What version were you before? lollipop? if so you can not downgrade....

Is that because of the massive changes with Android 5, namely ART?

I did it!!
And yes I downgraded from lollipop to kitkat.
I just followed this guide, with the difference of running Odin 3.09 and uncheckning Auto Reboot and waiting for PASS to show in Odin http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...ide-samsung-how-flash-stock-rom-via-odin.html
After that pass is shown in Odin, remove the battery and reboot the phone... Now after start up the phone will get stuck on the boot up animation. Here comes the trick... When you get stuck on boot up turn off the phone and go into recovery this time and do a factory reset!!! Now reboot normally and tada downgraded [emoji4] Guess who has a happy girlfriend now, guess I'm getting lucky tonight [emoji13]

Leo I told you so in the other post... You should have read better
If you downgrade you need to format after flashing the rom by doing HOME + POWER + Volume up to enter recovery and select factory reset and then Proceed <br/>
