I could only find out how to change the color of the date and time, is it possible to change the rest of the status bar colors?
Now that you're reading this can I add haptic vibration when pressing the touchscreen?
Both features are in the rom
The first is in the clock & date section
Haptic is in sound section

Sorry, I should specify I'm using 4.4.
Ive since found Haptic feedback settings in my keyboards settings (swiftkey) but as for changing the color of the entire status bar, no luck..
Settings > date & time > clock & date (at the bottom) > then colors, alignment, date, style, date format
If you mean the status bar color and not the time & date color, there is no such option yet

Yeah, I mean the whole thing, thanks for trying. My bar looks weird, half is one color and other half is white because of only being able to change date and time. Thanks anyways buddy

There's no such option on the rom as of now...
But you can install an xposed module called "tinted status bar"
You can set both status bar n nav bar colours seperately and for most of the apps it sets the colours by default... Try it out

First of all, it's a WIP. I've uploaded it in its present state in case people want to take it and run with it themselves. I'd like suggestions about what could be cool to add, but its probably more of a pet project tbh, as I said, take it and make the amendments you want to suit your style.
So anyway, I wouldn't call it a full theme, or even a black bar mod (considering if you use this, you'll actually be using the in built black bar functionality of DeFrost.
I've gone for a black/orange theme, some of the icons you may recognise from the Galaxy S (except now in orange, not blue). Also the battery icon has a couple of orange shades depending on how much is left.
As of yet, the DeFrost rom won't correctly export colour profiles, so I'll just list the ones I'm using to get the colours you see in the screens:
Menu > Settings > DeFrost Settings > User Interface
> Status Bar
Battery Percentage: Tick
Battery Percentage Colour: [select a white colour]
Clock Colour: #ffdfdfdf
> Date and Provider
Date Colour: #ffdfdfdf
(Just found these, so screens don't show this change)
Carrier PLMN Label Colour: #ffdfdfdf
Carrier SPN Label Colour: #ffdfdfdf
> Notifications Colours
Notifications Ticker colour: #ffdfdfdf
Notifications count colour: #ffdfdfdf
No notifications title colour: #ffdfdfdf
Clear notifications label colour: [select a black colour]
Ongoing notifications title colour: #ffffffff
Latest notifications title colour: #ffffffff
items title colour: #ffdfdfdf
items text colour: #fff89f13
items time colour: #fff89f13
custom notification bar: tick
bar colour: [select a black colour]
custom pulldown bar: tick
pulldown bar colour: [select a black colour]
Thats about it!
sorry posted in wrong area
How hard would it be for me to change the colour of the icons from orange? Is it simple or does is it require a lot of knowledge?
Thanks in advance!

Nice Lekky.
Will flashing that .zip file make my phone have the same colours as you? i have just tried doing what you posted some of the colours were there but no orange ones....?
Looks very nice mate, and this ROM is well speedy!
Really liking this, will give it a go now!
Can I ask what other programs/widgets you're using in that Home screen pic?
Lekky, can you confirm that the original status bar on 2.6 is white. The settings you have modified are to change text colors to white on a black status bar.
Is there a setting specifically to change the status bar color or is it part of your update file. Thanks

you need to flash the zip and also apply the settings i listed too, also when you change the colours using the settings, they don't apply straight away, in fact might be good idea to restart phone to force them to refresh

HI
I am running the latest version of PA, trying to enable auto color on apps but the setting does not save or get applied?
Any ideas how to get this working?
I'm also having this problem.
I want to have a white colored status icons, and white navigation bar buttons, so I disable the "Enable per app color" option but it doesn't work status bar icons are blue and the navigation buttons have transparency, it's not visible but I do not want it because of performance issue, I don't like using transparent stuff.
After a while of trying different settings I enable per app color option, since I decided that I'll just use "Automatic Color" inside every app I want to change its layout, but it doesn't work either! If I change its layout it will use the custom colors and enabling Automatic Color won't get saved.
- I have a galaxy nexus
I'm not sure why this happens, and therefore I'm posting this here.

So, notification bar and navigation bar get transparent when using home screen, for some reason. I'm not sure does Nova Launcher or some setting on AOKP do this. They revert back to black when using any app. It looks nice on lock screen, but not so nice on the home screen, as you can see from the screenshot.
I did search for this, but didn't find anything, so I thought that someone here could help me to disable it. :highfive:
I'm using AOKP, Nova Launcher and Franco Kernel.
I dont know how to turn it off, but for the ugliness on the homescreen, turn of shadows in apex settings>Homescreen

Thanks for this, but it really doesn't take away the problem :/ I would just wanna get solid theme.
I also noticed that if I put transparency to my application menu, it will show transparent bars too.

I'm sorry, then I can't help anymore. I don't own this device so I don't have enough experience. :/

The transparency is set by the rom. To change it just change the opacity in ROM Control for both the navigation and notification bars.
The transparency only really works in the launcher (home pages, lock screen and app drawer). Apps don't draw behind the navigation or notification bars (there's no background behind the bars) hence they only show as black. At least that's my understanding of how it works.
Edit: To disable transparency set the opacity to 100%.

Hmm, I couldn't find the right toggles from the settings, could you write the route to the right one? I tried multiple toggles but none seemed to work.. maybe they were just the wrong ones.
I noticed this when I went to aokp build 4. I found that setting the transparency setting to 50% matched the homescreen
Rom control -> General UI -> Transparency Settings
give that a go and see if it works

Thanks for this! Seems weird that 0 alpha means full transparency, and 255 alpha means no transparency at all. Normally in colours 255 is the lightest and 0 darkest. Anyhow, the problem is now solved :victory:

I had this problem too. Thank you for your tip! It helped me
Hello.
I just flashed the aliencce rom to my gs5 and for a little while I liked it. But I played with the settings and now my status bar is only showing the clock and a red bar above that and I want to have the Neoral look but I have tried changing the settings to default but nothing works and also even changing the theme.
Thank you for your help.
Sorry, can't answer this, but I would bring this up on the alliance thread, someone will surely help you there
Same thing happened to me, it's the status bar transparency setting. Setting / Custom Settings / Statusbar and Toggles / Statusbar Options / Make sure the slider is all the way to the right. restart UI (I go back to signal / wifi options.. restart ui is on the bottom).
Thanks I fixed it by playing around more lol. But I think that is the main issue is the transparency
My 7 mini does this annoying thing where the home screen and notification tray brighten and dim or change slight tones in color - I can't tell exactly which. It only does it on my home screen , if I slide down notifications in any app the the color of the tray stays the same. Anyone else have an issue like this?
The notification tray changes color depending on the colors of the wallpaper. That's not an issue, if that's what you mean.

Thanks but that's not what I mean. If I swipe down the notification tray changes tone in color. If I swipe down again to show all quick settings it changes color again. If I swipe up once back to just notifications , it changes color again. Finally, if I go home the same effect happens on my wallpaper. Same thing happens if I swipe up to open app drawer.

Oh, I see what you mean. I noticed this a long time ago and it didn't bother me. Unfortunately, you'll have to live with it. Perhaps, it only works with some colors, though. My panel is green right now and it's not darkening/brightening when I pull down quick settings as usual. Try using a wallpaper with a different color instead.
