Q: CWM

Hi.
I have a question about CWM backup an restorage.
When you take a backup of your current version and restore it after update, wont it restore everything? Including downgrade it again after upgrade?
Thanks Habuen :_)
CWM backup/restore, saves the content of /system, /data, /cache.
When you restore, you overwrite those partitions... so by restoring, you might be downgrading, upgrading, or neither.
BTW, CWM is not saved on a restore.

[Q] Is it possible to create full partition backups with stock recovery?

Hello,
I've just joined. A very basic question - is it possible to create full partition backups without a custom recovery? The only reason I'm running TWRP (2.6) at the moment is to be able to create full backups. I understand stock recovery doesn't allow that?
Thanks
Online nandroid backup or something doesn't need a custom recovery.

Restore from twrp backup

Has anyone tried to restore from a twrp backup before with the v20? Made a backup after root, would like to return to that state if possible. Just don't want to wipe and it can't boot and I got a paperweight since there is no ddl for restoring to stock

TWRP Backup with Magisk Root

Hi, do somebody know a way to do a full NAndroid backup in TRWP.
I am using the last oreo UK (BTU), the Magisk Root is ok. I configured the phone, and now I want to do a backup, but the "data" partition is showning 0.
So the backup in TWRP is not useful at all.
I read that to Backup with TWRP I need to use SU, but I would like to keep using Magisk.
So is there a solution?

Backup TWRP

Guys, do TWRP backups work well? I still have the stock and I made a backup of the rom with TWRP, if you install a custom and if you want to go back to the stock, just format data and do the wipes cache date and system, and install the backup?
