Looks like it works only at Korean Galaxy Note 2. Is it possible to port it to international version?

maybe because the Korean version is already released, it has a newer version witch supports this feature, and the intl' will also support it.
but its not based on anything.. only me :cyclops:
I also think that the craftsmen will find a way)
That will be really disappointing if its only on the Korean Note 2.
After watching the videos of it yesterday I was definitely going to purchase the Galaxy Note 2 on launch day in the UK. But if its not a supported feature in the EU/N7100 models then I think I will hold off.
The multiscreen feature is also available in hong kong's note 2, which is an international version.

This looks awesome. However when I was watching it I was thinking "Sweet!!! I can finally answer texts while browsing the internet!" But after looking at the apps in the side bar I didn't see sms in there. So I wonder what apps will be supported in this feature and if it will be possible to incorporate mods to get other apps to work.
That's an awesome feature. Hopefully the international version also has this.
But if it doesn't has, i still go for the Note II

I just posted a question in Q&A section, asking whether the note 2 will rotate home screen to landscape with stock launcher? Anyone know for sure?

Sms is present as an option. in the first video, i can see the sms icon below the gallery icon. Samsung should be highlighting that feature because it brings a desktop like view to the note. Definitely ordering now. was going to wait to see the new nexus and features of the next version of Android, but this just sealed the decision.

I use 'ultimate rotation control' app to force the rotation.

Tried that and similar apps on my s3, found it made it lag. What phone do you use it on? Do you find any lag?

Try this rotate app. Works great on my ROM, no lag.

My mistake, I'm using 'ultimate rotation control'.
It works great on my galaxy note 1.
One of the big reasons I'm using it is it allows 180 degree rotation so I'm not always hitting the capacitive buttons.

That is an amazing feature but of all the Note 2 videos I have seen, it's the first one I have seen that has that (half-circular) tab on the left side of the screen. Looks like it's brought up by holding the 'back button'. I wonder if its just that no one knows about this 'shortcut' to open this feature. Or could this be an updated version of TouchWiz we are seeing?
I think you can enable the multi-window from the settings, because it make sense that not everybody want to have the half circle on left border by default.
Lets hope it is available in the international version
So are we saying that stock launcher on note 2 doesnt rotate landscape??

On [can not post URL here because I am new here] is a first quick test of a retail unit. It is written in German, but the pictures show the multiview feature.
So it looks like every note 2 will have that function.

Seems like cm team got loads of work to do to incorporate the multi windows feature to cm10 lol

Hi guys, I just upgraded to Jbean 3 days ago and I just read in the official Samsung statement of the update that you could now write on the s planner app using the s pen. This feature was in the Note 2 I believe. Does anybody know how to actually do it step by step? I can't seem to find anything about writing with a the s pen. Thank you!
basically look at the right top corner when you open S planner, there is 3 lines with a pointer, click that and then enable handwriting mode and there you go
Its only available in month view in landscape I think. Also, if you were to hover the s pen on the date itself and click it, you'll immediately enable handwriting entry too. Very nifty feature which is awesome.

This is cool. Once you have written on it does it remain? Can you see what you wrote on any view once it's been written?
It does remain but you'll only be able to see it in month view.

Thank you so much!! I didn't know it had to be in landscape mode. Kinda sucks that I can't see what I wrote in portrait mode -.-.
Ok, so I just upgraded to the Verizon Note 3 from the VZW Note 2. So far I love it, except for one little thing. The Note 2 had a stock Contacts widget for displaying whichever select contacts I wanted, and then I setup the default way to contact them. I see the Note 3 is lacking this widget, and I cannot find anything close in the Play store to replace it with. So, is it possible to extract or port the Note 2's contact widget so I can install it on my Note 3? Thanks!
There's a widget called Favorite Contacts that may be what you want.

Nice is the boot loader locked? And another q. Deciding between HtcOne and the S5 right now. Did they keep touchwiz as mostly blue background dialog boxes and titlebars? Also is there a working built in flashlight widget or toggle?
Thanks I love the One but I know Samsung in and out like nothing else so leaning towards the s5 but not loving the the blue /green look. Thanks

It's blue and green, but more of a modern UI. I'm on a GS5 ROM and can send you some screening of the notification center later?

Hi
I am a Samsung fan who made a mistake and left Samsung phones for others for a while and now cane back after my note 4 for a shiny s7 edge...
Now in this new touchwiz i can't find some features in some apps like : "open new page in background in the stock browser" or "play next video in video player" or many features in massage app and so on...
Wondering they're gone or there is some setting somewhere else that i can't find it???
What do you missed from old touchwiz?

A lot of "commonly unused features" are missing from the newer models.
