Hi guys !
I've got a problem.
I rooted my LG L5 II phone a time ago and I need a software update. I've already unrooted and checked it with root checker, but I can't still update it. It keep saying it's rooted. I've read in many forums that I should wipe the partition cache through the Software Recovery Mode menu, but when I reboot it on Software Recovery mode, there's no menu at all. What's wrong? I don't know how to use ADB tool, btw. I know I can also wipe it through adb.
Thanks in advance !
Try LG update tool, official, do an emergency update there if you haven't already tried it..
Easy

Hi, I'm facing the same problem.
My phone only shows lg logo.
Thanks for your help
Turn off your phone by hold power for few sec. Now hold vol- and power, when device will show you LG logo, then repress power button, but vol- need be hold non-stop . U'll see for a while white screen, and factory reset, now press 3 times power button, it should show recovery. Now search adb sideload and install by sideload philz recovery cwm. If u'll finish, reboot recovery, then wipe data/factory reset and wipe for install clean rom. Now install by adb sideload CM11. After this ur phone should boot, and show system, u should able to plug usb now and put stock rom to sd. Check my solutions. It worked for me and my phone i alive
You had a lot of luck..the first thing you have done is - you flashed the wrong kernel.
No luck, every g2 will stuck by wrong kernel flash, but ofc if it is also for G2 but other variant.
You flashed also the wrong files after
Hi,
Have a weird situation, but try as much as I may, I'm unable to resolve it.
My phone is rooted (international D802) and was running fine. Had a screen issue and got it replaced at the service center but their system identified my phone as a rooted device, and a couple of days later the problems started.
The issues I'm facing right now:
1. The phone doesn't charge when switched on, at all.
2. The phone doesn't reboot either.. not instantly anyways. If powered off, or rebooted, the phone doesn't turn back on, it just goes dead. It does boot again though if tried after a couple of hrs.
3. The phone charges when its off (shows no light or indicator though, like its bricked)
4. Cannot go into either recovery or download mode. Coz the phone doesn't boot when restarted or when i try to reboot into recovery.
5. When it does magically start after a few hrs (upon long pressing the power button), even if I try to go into download or recovery via the vol keys, it just boots to android.
6. The phone is recognized properly as LG G2 under windows and all the drivers install too.
7. The phone isn't recognized under Linux... tried both Ubuntu and Knoppix.
Travelling out of the country in a few days, really need to sort this out.
Any and all help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Somebody... Anybody? :'(
When your phone rebooted I would recommend you firstly to activate USB Debugging in the developer settings. You said your device is rooted? So try to install the Auto Rec recovery here
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=13763 - but make sure you are on Kitkat. Now, install the app normal and let the app install all things. After installation, the app asks you to reboot to recovery, now press reboot to recovery.
Maybe you have luck and the phone reboots to TWRP. In TWRP you can go to Reboot and then Reboot to Download mode.
Now (if all worked) you can flash the stock rom .kdz file of the d802 via the FlashTool 2014.
Hope you have luck, please keep me up to date if everything worked.
Yours, Flo
Good luck!!
Thanks a lot for the response Flo, but the problem is that i never got around to updating to a Kitkat rom... the rom i was never got updated and I was kinda happy with how things were working so didn't jump on to any other rom.
Anything I can do in my current situation?
Go back to stock via lg flash tool

LG G2 is UNBRICKABLE NOW! [FIX REAL HARD BRICK]
_____________________________________Read more write less and be smart
Hey Guys!
As I finally gave up looking through hundreds of comments and several different threads I will try it this way...
I am not new into flashing, as I messed around a lot with my Galaxy S2 and especially with my HTC HD2 (loved that thing!)
Now I wanted to flash my G2 too (after 2 years with stock rom), but something went wrong. I can neither enter download- nor recoverymode. But it works as usual, even after resetting it to factory state.
It just showed me the boot security error then I was able to force restart it by holding Power + VolUP and it was reset to the state where I bought it.
I rooted with ioroot, then I tried to put CWM on it (CWM-Official- TOUCH-6.0.4.4(D802)), which I already figured out that it wasn't the best idea, since everybody seems to use TWRP on his G2. But I didn't know a thing about TWRP and I was used to use CWM for flashing, so I tried it.
Then I read that there is a problem with stock ROMS and ADB root, because the CMD showed me an error saying that "adb cannot run as root in production builds". By doing some research on the Internet I figured out that something went incredibly wrong. ( I also forgot about the bootloader.. it was a long time since I flashed a phone )
My Phone is a open LG G2 D802, KOT49I.D80220g, 32 GB.
I have already messed around with this for some time, but it wasn't successful since the device wasn't shown in the ls command, I assume it's because it's still recognized by Ubuntu as an MTP? (I read to page
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
But every other solution I have found requires download mode, which I'm not able to enter (Not by pressing Power + VolUP (or Vol down) until LG Logo, then release and press again, nor by holding volUP while plugging in the USB cable (of course the device was powered off))
Does anybody have some advices?
I hope I gave all information you need.
Kind Regards
Lukas
Is your device rooted?
Yes it is.
I think you might have to short the chip to force it in qhsusb mode and flash laf.img,aboot.img and boot.img

Hey XDA!
Got my Nexus into some trouble today. I Was running stock rooted 5.0.2, received an OTA update for 5.1. Ran the update and it sent me to my TWRP 3.0 recovery. Restarted the device and found out the update did not work, leaving me at 5.0.2. Ran the update again like a tard, took my to the stock bootloader. TWRP is now no where to be found... In fact there is no recovery to be found. When I select the recovery option in the bootloader it goes to black screen then redirects back to the bootloader. When I select the "start" option, it's reboots the device taking me to the bootloader. I have attempted a hard restart with the power button but the device hangs on the Google logo forever. I have tried to use the Nexus Root Tool but it can't help me since the device won't connect via fastboot, or ADB.
Any help is appreciated.
Hallo,
got the same problem, how did you resolve it ??? Thanks a lot ...
Same here. I can't connect to the device by no means. How did you solve your problem?

you mention it wont connect via fastboot but you can still reboot with the pwr + vol- to get menus of some kind.. ? if the screen is backlite even just a blank screen but you can see it light up theres still hope. All i can say is try to reboot the device into fastboot an then try Nexus Root Toolkit an see if you can reset to Factory to restore the stock recovery partition along with reset the OS to which ever you select and start over .. Good Luck Flashing... the only way i can say your SOL is if when you plug it into your PC an it pops up with the error "Device Malfunctioned,....." then you SOL Good Luck Flashing :good:
EDIT: Sorry didnt notice it was resolved in the title..
Hello guys.
I was using Fulmics ROM, it was ok, but I wanted to switch it back to LG G6 stock
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/development/rom-eu-lg-h870-20a-rom-t3794503
I mistakely went to this page:
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=272154
and downloaded all these files, then I put them in SDCard and ran TWRP, then I wiped all and installed each of them. I thought they were android files, but no. My phone is now stucked in "welcome to Fastboot mode:", I can see and controll connected device on Fastboot, but not ADB ("error: no devices/emulators found"). Now I cant run system, cant go to recovery. Im doing that "volume down+power button" then releasing and again pushing power button, it asks to wipe all I choose yes, then again yes, but after that it should boot into TWRP but no, it goes again to "welcome to Fastboot mode:"
I know guys, I'm really nooby...
Please give me your help hand.
Thanks.

Try to enter download mode and flash stock kdz of your G6 model with LG UP and UPPERCUT, or try with the update error part of LG bridge. This should solve the problem. Search a bit in this forum and you will find how to flash with LG UP.

Discharge the phone completely or turn it off and connect to the usb to the pc while pressing volume up button. Is the only way I know now to do it.
