hello ppl. im from india i guess ul know that i use the xda 2.please tell me a way to activate class b gprs for free since here the orange phone company rips us off by charging 15 $ for 30 days . please let me know a sim hack or a tweak to get free gprs please....
Yeah and while your at it how do I get free electricity and gas because those utility companies charge for their services too.
Yeah and don't forget I want to call for free because it's to expensive and I want a free car, free Internet access and uhm.. I want everything for free because I think they all rip us off damn.. hehehe
I ordered the Nexus 7 and activated it today. When looking in the account I activated it on I see no mention of the $25 Play store gift card or the free movie and other stuff that should be included according to the product page. I looked at some other threads about this and they all said "it should be there" and I don't see it! I looked in Google Wallet and in my Purchase History in the Play Store and saw nothing! What am I missing? Or am I just a Bad Luck Brian that just doesn't get the gift card?
Thanks.
You don't get the freebies until you physically have the device in your hands and activate it.

Same here. I received the email within seconds of activating the device. You sure you actually don't have it? Check your balance at the play store and see. The email may have gone to your spam box. Just a thought.
The other thing is - did you get yours from the play store or a 3rd party? The cynic in me wonders whether someone purchased it, returned it, and Google play sees that device as already having received the freebies.

I bought mine from staples and I unboxed it, signed into google, saw the credit email in my gmail inbox, then unlocked and rooted and wiped the hell out of it and flashed a custom rom and kernel.
I thought maybe I wasn't going to get the other freebies because I searched google play store and they weren't free. But it was user error, I just had to install the specific apps for google magazines and google movies and books.

Activated it in the USA and I never got an email or anything! Very confused and I wonder if the latest batch of units have the deal expired maybe?
Edit: yes I bought it from google. I looked through my spam folders in a eventually found the message and it mentioned free content but the link sent me to Google help and I can't find the content.

It'll send the credit and extras to the first account you set up. I have two, my old one one for apps, and a newer one one for my gmail and music. I set up my email/music first when I got the N7 and it gave the credit to that.
Also, pretend like you're going to buy something and when it goes to the choosing payment section look in the drop down for the $25 credit.

I tried this and the gift card did not appear on the drop down. Nor can I find my freebies anywhere besides in the email mention from Google. I would like to mention I had changed my email address a few days prior to ordering Nexus 7 and all of the order emails including the one mentioning the gift card arrived in the old inbox.
Just tried changing the email back and looking in Google Play but still can't find the goodies or the giftcard so I changed back the email.
You have a really good reason to call customer support.
They will probably enjoy a call from someone they can help, and is not yelling at them.
Should be easily fixable.
He said to do a factory restore. Ugh, I just got this thing all set up!
Now that all my data is gone and lost, I got the email saying I got the giftcard!

Unless they fixed it you can get the $25 on multiple accounts from 1 device. I got two other people $25 dollar credits just from letting them sign in on my device so someone else getting the freebies isn't possible. Neither is getting multiple credits on one account even if you sign on two different devices. Also you have to have a credit card tied to your Google account to get the $25 credit

Factory Data Reset worked for me also
I am glad I found this post. I was getting aggravated that I could not get my credit.
The Factory Data Reset worked for me also. Once I activated it the credit was there automatically.
Now to reload all my apps, music, and books again.
But it was worth.
You guys should have just made a backup with the Nexus Toolkit. :/

I got my nexus 7 as a gift. When I activated it I didn't get the credit or the other stuff. I did the factory reset (several times actually) but to no avail. When I go to buy an app, there is an 'add card for $25' option which does nothing when I add cards. I tried deleting all my cards, doing a factory reset and none of that made a difference either. I tried calling customer support a couple days ago and he had to escalate since he didn't know how to fix it. I'm still waiting to hear back.
Isn't this your post too?

Yeah. Still haven't figured anything more out yet

Is there a way to contact Google via email to sort this issue out? The Contact Google page doesn't actually offer any email or something.
The factory restore didn't work for ya? Asked Google if there was any other way and they said no. Their number is found on Nexus support page.

Hi,
Check your e-mail for a link that will increase your amount.
So is there a catch or a three year timelimit or something?

Hi,
To quote from "Dropbox":
Is my Samsung phone or tablet eligible for the free space promotion?
« Back to Help Center
If you have a brand new Samsung phone or tablet with Dropbox already installed, you may be eligible to earn 48 GB of free space for up to two years. To qualify:
The Dropbox app must be pre-loaded on your device.
You need to complete at least five steps from our Get Started guide.
Your carrier must be participating in the promotion.
Make sure Dropbox is pre-loaded
Dropbox must be "pre-loaded" on your brand new phone or tablet, which means that the Dropbox app already came installed without the need to download it from the Google Play store.
If the Dropbox app is pre-loaded on your device, you may qualify for 48 GB of bonus space for up to one year.
Additionally, some devices that have the Dropbox app pre-loaded may also have the Dropbox "out-of-box experience," which means that the first time you turn on the device, you'll be asked to sign in to Dropbox or create a new account. If your device has the out-of-box experience, you may qualify for 48 GB of bonus space for up to two years.
The first Dropbox account that signs in to the app on the device will get 48 GB of free space (assuming the other conditions are met). Each account is only able to claim this promotion once.
Complete the Get Started guide
To claim your extra space, you need to complete at least five steps from our Get Started guide. Please note that some steps require your desktop computer.
Make sure your carrier is participating
Some carriers have opted out of the promotion on phones otherwise eligible. Among those not currently participating are the following carriers:
United States: AT&T
Japan: NTT DoCoMo
Korea: SK Telecom
Verizon customers: Some Samsung devices on Verizon may be eligible for 48 GB of bonus space for one or two years. As described above, your device needs to be pre-loaded with the Dropbox app, or pre-loaded with the Dropbox out-of-box experience, to receive the applicable promotion. If your device does not have the Dropbox app pre-loaded, then it is not eligible.
Whatever it is ,we know that it IS limited...

Sammy is 2 years as long as the network operator is taking part, certainly in the UK the UK they are all 2 year 48gig deals.
Create a new account then check your email, complete any 5 steps in the starting guide and it enables your space.
When I've set up my phone, in the initial process there was a question to sign in or create new Dropbox account, I signed in with my current one after which I received e-mail to claim the free space. The additional 48 GB are valid for 24 months.
I received the extra space on my S3 but when adding my account onto my S4 and I didn't get the extra space. Looks to be one per account?

Hi,
They give you notice that it is about to get reduced.
Presumably ,just enough time to "buy" some space before you have to move it.
Hi, Can you please send me a link to increase my space as well? I already have a basic account on right now.
Thanks,
mihir
I didnt get the 50GB free cause I already have 50GB from my S3... somewhere in the fineprint it mentions if you already had a similar promo on your account you wont be eligible. Blows but ... its okay. I have 45gb free. :cyclops:

Hi,
The link comes after you apply for it.
On the phone, you should have the drop box app.
Go on it, sign up and register.
They will send you the link in the reply email.

Hi,
I enabled camera upload but I still don't see 50GB of space (just 2GB I had all the time).
I found a thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020423
Is this still valid that you can get 50GB only once per account?
Thanks
1. Just for new user
2. After sign in, you have to follow their instruction to activate 48GB.
Just create new account with new email address. Then u will get the 50gb

It's working when you follow the guide but the 48GB will be free for 2 years only after that time you will have to pay for it.

I will skip creating new acount now. Will do that when I will need those 50gb.
Hi
I got a galaxy s3 as a temporary replacement (my note 4 again got an air bubble under the glass) from warranty shop. I entered my drop box username and password during phone setup and... I was offered 50gb for 24months.
Thats totally strange. I didnt get 50gb with note4 but got that with almost 3 years old device.
Conclusion:
You dont need a new account to get 50gb.
I accidentally selected to block premium texts on my Note 4 on O2 and now I can't find out how to unblock it. I phoned O2 who said they had taken the block off but my Note 4 still won't allow me to send premium texts which is a nuisance as i'm trying to make an important donation to an animal charity. Can anyone point me towards instructions on how to take the block off please?
Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to help.
