Can't find modem that will work with my phone correctly
I just updated from stock to Omega V19, so I will not trigger knox warranty void.
I tried few modems, but all had horrible reception problem :
XXUEMJ5 modem with LTE XXUBMH1
XXUEMJ5 modem with LTE XXUBMGA(that was my stock)
XXUBMH1 both
XXUBMGA both
XXUEMJ9 modem with LTE XXUBMGA,XXUBMH1,XXUBMG7,XXUBMF8
XXUEMJ9 both - got no sound problem(newer LTE modem than MH1 apperently do that) - but excellent reception
All (except the last) had this issue that reception is lost any 2 seconds, each time I turn on my screen, and just with no reason.
Does any one have a solution for that situation?
advice?

Hello, when i bought my samsung galaxy S4 i9500 it was originally UAE XSG version,
PDA - i9500XXUBMEA
CSC - I9500JVBMEA
After flashing omega v8, my phone started getting lower signals and slow data speed. I was told to flash a modem from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025
Would anyone happen to know which modem i should flash from the link? or should i test them all out?
I also noticed my Mobile Network type is: UMTS:3. Before i think it was HSDPA:9.
I live in Australia if that helps.
Hi Xda.. im following you for 3 different devices (gs3, xperia z, and now gs4).
i ve a problem with my s4.. originally it was a branded h3g (im italian) i9505 so i decided to make it no brand..
so, installed the phil touch recovery i choose the "android revolution hd 3.0" based on xxubmga firmware + wifi fix..
at this point my s4 begins to shut down suddenly during use.. always when the % battery is at 69% or lowest..
I realized that the baseband remained I9505XXUBMEA that of my old branded firmware (h3g - PDA I9505XXUBMEA CSC I9505HUIBME3 MODEM I9505XXUBMEA)
so i installed with odin the modem of xxubmga of android revolution hd 3.0 but the problem is not solved.. it he shuts down unexpectedly.. when im using whatsapp.. chrome.. etc..
now i used the code *#1234# and i saw AP I9505XXUBMGA CP I9505XXUBMEA (so it s not changed also after odin's replacement modem process) CSC I9505OXXBMG4
how can i fix this problem of shutdown? is a battery problem? or rom problem?
thank you.. and excuse me for my bad english
Hello everyone,
I have Galaxy S4 I9505 that is unbranded and unlocked, updated with the latest firmware via Kies3. Stock ROM, Knox 0x0.
My firmware info:
PDA: I9505XXUEMKF
CSC: I9505BTUEMK5
MODEM: I9505XXUEMKF
(I checked on sammobile and its UK BTU firmware)
I am from Croatia using T-mobile as a carrier. Problem first appeared right after the first 4.3 update was released via Kies3.
The problem is that when I select LTE in Network mode options it doesn't connect to 4G, the icon only shows H+ in a 4G area. If I leave it running in LTE mode, after a while the mobile data will shut down, signal will drop (like it resets) and after a few moments it will work again. My mail or whatsapp messages for example will arrive 10 - 30 min later. This will repeat over and over until I turn it off in Network mode and select WCDMA/GSM only. Everything was working fine prior 4.3 update.
Also I hope there is a solution that doesn't include flashing custom modem files or anything that voids my phone warranty.
Thank you,
Skyward
Anyone??
My phone had mobile network signal problem like weak signal, emergency call only and not registered to network.I tried to flash different modems for the issue but it didn't resolve the problem. So i decided to flash complete firmware with Odin3 v3.04 now the mobile network seems to be working fine but i don't have any wifi bcoz the phone is not turning on the wifi at all.
I have flashed a stock 4.2.2 of France region i9505XXUBMGA and my device actual firmware was of Hong Kong region I9505ZHUAME1 can that be the cause of problem. One thing else that i have noticed in setting about phone that the baseband is still being showed of the Hongkong region i9505ZHUBMF4 that i flashed before flashing the stock France region 4.4.2.
Hi all,
I'm a fan of CM and been using M9. When M10 was released, of course I have updated but got issue on signal dropping. I did some research and convinced to update my modem. Using the http://www.sammobile.com firmware checking I got these as latest firmware info:
PDA: I9505XXUGNH8
CSC: I9505OLBGNH2
MODEM: I9505XXUGNH8
With these, I updated my modem to XXUGNH8 using I9505XXUGNH8_MODEM (from DXUBMG5) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50965837. The signal dropping was fixed but the BT and wifi went crazy so I flashed I9505_XXUGNH8_WiFi_FIX. BT and Wifi got fixed but my phone got no sound. The result has forced me go back to my M9 which leads me to in restoring my Nandroid back up using CMW and I got my M9 again. Now with my old M9, I still got no sound to I flashed XXUGNG2 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025 but still no sound. So then, I was forced again to flash my original modem, DXUBMG5 from the same thread but still no sound.
I'm ran out of ideas what to do next, maybe install M10 again? Flash new modem? I don't have a good idea now.
Perhaps anyone can guide me.
Here are my phone's current data;
Model: GT-i9505
CM: 11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-jflte
Android: 4.4.4
Baseband:I9505DXUBMG5
Kernel: 3.4.0-cyanogenmod-g433243c [email protected] # 1 Sun Aug 3 22:19:51 PDT 2014
Country: Philippines
Carrier: Globe
Edit:
I'm planning to flash XXUBMH1 based on:
"Old bootloader (no KNOX ) => you need to flash exactly the following LTE modem and no other : XXUBMH1. Otherwise, sound / Wi-Fi may break."
I have checked an I didn't found Samsung knox in my Apps. Any better way to tell if my phone knox?
Okay, it seems that I flashed the modem for phones with knox while mine doesn't have.
