So if I did that (with WP7 root tools in my opinion) it will be OK? I only don't know how I can install apps from my SD for instance... I just don't know how to instal WP7 root tools, if apps from market does'nt work.

you cant install xap files from SDcard.... this not WP8.1....
to install XAP files from computer you need WP SDK installed, Zune and any XAP deployer... all what you need to do to set Wp7.8 is in my install tutorial...

I have an HD2 running the WP7 Rom, with the XAP installer running under admin.
Whenever i try to install an app, I get the error connection message...
I have zune running, and i've unlocked the phone and i downloaded many apps via marketplace. and also i cannot use windows SDK deployment it says "invalid xap"
i have seen this in many posts but bno threads and no answer at all
Please help!
if u have installed the registry trick that your phone is shown as usb device u cant install via sdk.
Well I just installed WP7 on my T-Mobile Leo and also downloaded some apps. I'm discovering the forum maybe for 7-8 hours and got many solution for this. After I installed necessary programs like Connection Setup, TouchXplorer I didn't get any problem but after sync with Zune I couldn't install other apps I downloaded then as usual I searched if someone had the same problem and figured out Zune relock your device after every sync. That might be another problem but after I tried to unlock it again via Chevron, it worked and now I installed all apps with current sync.
You can try to unlock it again via Chevron and use TOM XAP as before if you ever unlock your phone '.)
i had same trouble few times... here is what i did... i uninstalled all the sideloaded app... and used the unlocker to unlock the phone... and used the xap provided here to prevent zune from unlocking it again... then installed sideload app limit removal... and installed other xap's normally ... and it hasn't locked or gave me any problem since then....

If i am not wrong tap and hold on applications icon until a menu opens , then select "UNinstall"
I had this trouble.
Do you have Net Framework 4 installed?? If not then this is probably your problem.
Also try a custom ROM. These claim to be unlocked and this will make installing xap a breeze. I currently have HD2 1.00.00.WP7 and it works fine. Dont have to go into flight mode when connecting by USB to sideload apps or games and I havent had any apps come up as revoked by Microsoft yet in 3 days.
Hope this helps.
I had this problem too and I solved it by reinstalling just .NET Framework 4.
Now it works as before.
This procedure works on HD2 Mango and upgraded to terminal blocked, I tested it myself on my HD2 and it works!!!!
1. Download WP7 Update Cab Sender
2. Download DEV_UNLOCK.cab
3. Extract WP7 Update Cab Sender, goto “if needed install this tool”, install Setup-UpdateWP-x86 or Setup-UpdateWP-x64.
4. Copy DEV_UNLOCK.Cab into “WP7-Update-Cab-Sender” folder.
5. Launch WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat and choose S to send this package to device.
6. Let the HD2 reboot.
7. Your HD2 is now unlocked and you can sideload any apps in xap format into your HD2 Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
8. Enjoy.

What do you mean with "you can sideload any apps in xap format into your HD2 Windows Phone 7.5 Mango"? Suppose I have a xap, how could upload it to my phone and install it? Via Update cab sender method?
Thanks

No, to install any xap, there are several ways I use the Phone application deployment in the Windows SDK 7.1, but in order to install any xap, you must first unlock the terminal, otherwise it will not allow you to install anything.
To unlock it you must follow the procedures that I described above and use the WP7 Cab sender.
I have some concerns about this.
The ROM should already be dev_unlocked.
Some people have experienced problems, especially with installing Xaps using Toms where the error comes up "either your phone is unlocked or zune isn't running", and because zune is running they assume they have become unlocked.
XBmod said that if the phone becomes locked, send dev_unlock_remove.cab, then send dev_unlock.cab. Which should work whether the phone is locked or not.
There are many reasons why Tom xap installer may not work, no Net framework 4, no SDK, zune still synching, not run as admin etc. and as you say, other xap installers are available.
I wonder how many people using this method to unlock will get the "no applicable package" error after sending the unlock.cab, meaning it is already unlocked.
I appreciate the input here, but isn't this already known?
This has been mentioned several times already in different topics.
Or am I missing something here?

You may well be right, and zune upgrading to mango does remove the dev_unlock cab. But how did you know it was locked? Did you hard reset after the upgrade to activate the unlock?

simple, I tried to run "touchExplorer" or "Registry Editor" and in both cases appeared to be a post where I was told that Microsoft had withdrawn the application .... also trying to deploiare xap I was told it was not possible.
Hard reset after upgrade?

because if you had of read the instructions you would have seen that it is required to hard reset the device after installing mango to activate the unlock...
your procedure above is not needed at all...
RTFM as they say

Why?

Do a hard reset and try again.
Sometimes I get also this message "either your phone is unlocked or zune isn't running" when I try to install xaps via Toms Xap Installer. But this doesnt mean your device is locked again. Just try it again or often the app has been installed but you get this error message. So you just have to ignore it.
cant $¥)&#%* unlock.....
I have tryed all solution .....fresh mango install, sent dev_unlock....nothing
Fresh install,sent dev_unlock, hard reset....nothing
Fresh install,sent dev_unlock_remove, hard reset, sent dev_unlock, hard reset, nothing....
Can anyone please help????
Oh, yes i tryed alot of xap deployer software....no luck!!!
after upgrade to Mango just do hard reset.... nothing else...
that was the first thing i did.......i read the guide....but that does not work for me......i dont know why???? Any other solution???? THANK YOU!!!
So, I am using "[ROM] Back to the Future [XBmod-Yuki] [7740]" - and am really having fun using WP7. I still miss some features of 6.5, but 7 is cool.
I came across programs with XAP files that I thought would be useful. It seems there are several different types of programs that are used to install these XAP files and I tried installing one and hosed my phone.
No biggie, I started over, but which methods of making my device XAP capable should I use? I mention "Back to the Future" because I also wonder if the XAP file support is ROM dependent.
Sorry, to ask something that I actually know is already in the forum. I see Chevron, and TOM XAP and I guess official Windows development tools. I really just can't seem to discern the difference or (dare I say) best method. Or maybe I just have yet to find something you can point me to that spells it out for noobs like me?
Thanks in advance for any help! Happy New Year!
chevron not needed for HD2 ROM's.... all ROM's is unlocked... only after install, you must do hard reset to avoid bugs with unlock...
BTTF not bad ROM but bad thing is locking SD card....
you can try others ROM's and find which one is best for you....
is the question what the best xap installer for windows

Yes. Thanks, I am content with the BTTF ROM - it is the only one I have tried. What xap installer should I use is the question.
any XAP installer....which you want... no matter which you ROM have you can use any XAP installer
Tom XAP installer is good but cant do Update to already installed XAP
for this XAPDeployX is best...
also you can use Windows Phone Power Tools or Windows Phone Device Manager
Windows Phone SDK 7.1
if you want extra fetures!
Windows Phone Power Tools

one more question , i have installed win 7 to my htc hd2 . but it is not activating through the popular method of ChevronWP7. this is what i did,
but i think this method is old now and very very complicated , isn't there some other way to crack wp7?
1. Install WP7 sdk (Not confirmed, Skip and see if it works);
2. Install zune;
3. Make partneship with zune and phone;
4. Attach the cert to your email and send the email to your email itself (On PC);
5. Login to your email account (On Phone), Open the email, Select attachment and install the cert;
6. Connect your phone to pc and make sure zune is running in background;
7. Run the unlocker (ChevronWP7.exe) and click unlock button(Make sure your phone date is set correctly);
6. Install toms .xap installer;
7. Deploy Connection Setup.xap, Touch Xplorer.xap and XBMODDeployer.xap (Install it on the phone);
8. Copy the .provxml from the ringtons folder to the windows folder (on the phone using touch explorer app);
9. Run connection setup to install the .provxal;
10. Setup up your live ID and enter the activation code (on the phone).
there are new WP7 (WP7.8) that are already working fine, you just need to get the activation code either via email or talking to someone from MS support which i did & got my activation code.
check out the WP7 thread.

Hello,
I installed Windows Phone 7.8 on my HTC HD2, but I have 2 problems. The marketplace is not working, and I have no free storage
space available. I found something how to solve the marketplace problem. But how can I solve the problem with no free storage?
1. you need live activation code from Microsoft
2. you need working SDcard
read install tutorial from my signature
