I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon (model SM-G900V), when I take photos, panoramas, or photosphere's and attempt to share them by clicking the 'share via' button (in the photo gallery) there is no option to share via google maps. On the google maps views website this is the described procedure for uploading photospheres. I am told by samsung help department that "The option is not provided on Samsung android OS. You only have the option to share it to Google+ directly."
I am able to take a photosphere using the google camera app and using the samsung surround shot camera mode. I can upload photospheres to google+ and add them to google maps views using a web browser manually. Photospheres that are automatically uploaded to google+ are not viewable using google+ app on my mobile device (but they are viewable using a browser) until I manually submit them to google map views for approval.
Whats the deal here? why so much incompatibility? is there any way I can hack my way through this problem?

For some reason when i go into my gallery and share a picture to facebook it uploads it to my mobile uploads album, which it is supposed to do, however it does not show the uploaded photo in my newsfeed. It used to show my mobile photo uploads in my newsfeed, however now it no longer does it so people can't comment etc. Can anyone help me to get the mobile photo uploads to once again show up in the newsfeed. Using Xperia Play.
Facebook has been going through some major updates ever since Google+ came on the scene. No doubt the SE software/fb app hasn't been updated to allow for these changes.
I would suggest bringing up this issue in the SE support forums.
But until then you can just upload photos to your facebook feed via the facebook app.
Ok thanks man. I will try and sign up to their forum and bring it to their attention.
Hi all,
I have a very strange problem: I took a photosphere this morning, it works from the gallery (and by "it works" I mean you can navigate in it, like a photosphere should let you to), if I share it via gmail the sender can correctly see it (at least, from the gmail app on a Sony Xperia phone and on a Samsung galaxy tab) but if I upload it on my g+ profile, it appears just like a flat photo with a veeeery low resolution (500*200 px, more or less).
It fails whether I try the upload from the stock gallery or the google+ app..
If I go to my sent mail on gmail, share the pic from there, here it is the photosphere on my g+!
Any idea?
Hey everyone,
Ran into a small problem with my Edge+. I primarily use Hangouts for all of messaging, text and otherwise, but have been having an issue with Hangouts having access to all of my photos in Google Photos.
Let me go into detail as much detail as I possibly can.
. In my Google Photos app I can view all of my pictures that have been uploaded over the years across all my Android devices.
. When I go into Google Hangouts and select to send a picture message, I get the option to select Google Photos, the stock gallery app, and a few others.
. Selecting the Google Photos option only yields the pictures I took LOCALLY(recently on the device) and not all the photos that are available in the cloud.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? I know that I've been able to select from ALL of my pictures on my Nexus devices when using Hangouts. Maybe that's the issue. Can someone test on their device and confirm that this isn't just my issue?
When in either of the apps and I attempt to send a message, I'm only able to select from local storage and not my Google Photos or my Google Drive for that matter. However, when I go into the Photos app and select a picture that's stored in the cloud, I'm able to send it.
I think it varies by app. If I am using Fenix (Twitter app) I can select "Photos" which has all my cloud photos (6000+), but when using Messenger (stock SMS) I can only pick from the several hundred saved on my device. I usually go to the photos app first and click Share from there, which is actually much better for searching. When using Fenix and selecting my cloud storage, it just shows me a long list, and I can't use any of the search functions. I can scroll through the list, but it's just a super long list ordered by date.

Click to collapse
Could be. I know when running CM 13 and using their stock messenger app I have no issues selecting from my cloud photos. Maybe I'll see if someone has the CM 13 messenger APK or zip.
Actually this is a bug in Hangouts and has been reported and confirmed.
Hi!
I bought a new S7 Edge and I got a problem.
In my note 4 Settings->Account->Google there is an option to sync with picasa but in this phone I got a lot of options but not that one and I cannot reach my albums from the default gallery, to access my old pictures I got to use google photo whitch is the worse gallery app I found.
Does anyone know how to enable the sync option?
thank you very mych
Picasa is no more. Google Photos has replaced it. See here for details: https://picasa.google.com/
I use an app from the play store called "tool for Google photos and Picasa. It works a treat for viewing my Picasa web albums.
Sent from my S7 Edge
Tnx for the replies but why I got the Google Photo Sync option under google account in my note 4 and its not available under S7? Is there anyway I can add it?
