Hi everyone,
I have seen a few threads for other phones, but could not find a solution for the problem I have...
When I get in my car the phones connects to Bluetooth (which is perfectly fine), but it also automatically starts the music player. And that's the problem - I don't use music player (stream music instead) and I don't need it to start the player with only one track there...
I went through each and every setting in the phone menu as well as in Music player menu - I could not find any settings to turn this freakingly annoying feature off...
Have anyone been able to switch this thing off? Any advice is appreciated!

Hi there,
i have an annoying behaviour on my HD2 when connecting to headset, bt a2dp and so on. I just find some articles with the same problem in the nexus forum, so i start this new thread.
If ever i plugin my headset, the sense musictab opens and with a delay of 5-10 seconds it begins to play. this is really annoying, because i hear my music and books with mortplayer. when inserting headset, after the delay, i hear my mortplayer music and the music which is loaded in my sense tab. so everytime i have to go to sensetab manually and stop playing music.
i can reproduce the same behaviour when connecting to my bt-caraudio (parrot). everytime when a2dp is connected, the music starts to play. also, i have this issue with my motorola s9 bt-headset.
does anyone have the same issue or perhaps solved this problem ?
best regards, chris
Disable the sense music tab as it seems you're not using it...
i tried this too, but then wmplayer is coming in front and wants to play.
is it wanted from htc, that everytime someone connects the earplug the music starts ? sometimes i just want to connect my earplugs while driving with my bike to answer calls. i have no intent to hear music in this situation
Hmm, doesn't do this for me. What ROM are you using?
It does so when I set S2P to do it, but not otherwise...
i use artemis 6.0 with the newset radio (9) i think. i reflashed the rom in the last minutes, so i will check if it is something with the settings i made in the last days
Hi all,
sorry to dig out such an old thread, but felt it was better then starting e new one on the same matter.
I have the same problem with my HD2 with Artemis 14 (WM6.5.5). When I connect to car kit using bluetooth. And randomly also sometime when plugging the headset, music starts palying automaticaly.
Very annoying, especially since I don't use Sense's tab as a player.
Any one found a fix / setting on this ??
thanks
I am not really sure where this question goes or where my problem lies, but here is the gist of things. I am an avid audible listener (audio books) and I don't use my phone for music. Oftentimes when I get in my car (ford sync system) it will start audible and resume playback of my audio book. Other times, it will start the default music player, which I don't even have any music loaded on the phone and don't use the player. Is there a way to disable the music player without effecting the rest of the phone's capabilities, or to make it to where it will always default to the Audible player? Also, sometimes when i get in the car, it will start the audible player, but I get no audio until I disable Bluetooth and re-enable it. I have recently installed fission rom but the problem was the same with the stock rom.
Droid 2 Andriod 2.2.1 using Fission_2.5.7_BE_DROID2
Bluetooth is a 2010 Ford w/ sync system
Any Help?
Ok, since no one here seems to have an answer, any suggestions on where else I could post this question?

In the Fission thread as it could be a ROM issue. I had some trouble with audio with my stereo bluetooth headset but I thought it was just the headset because it's two years old.
I have my N4 Bluetooth set up to my car. When I start my car, and Bluetooth kicks in, Google Music automatically starts playing songs. I don't listen to music via Bluetooth, but my device is sending the signal, evidently. I've tried to find a way to keep Google Music from automatically doing this when Bluetooth connects, but cannot find anything. Any ideas?

I'm looking for a way to make mine do what yours is doing. I'm on a Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.2.2 and just want my music to start automatically when I get into my car instead of having to unlock phone, fire up google music, and hit shuffle all every time I get in. There are a couple apps that will launch Play Music but the music doesn't start playing. I need to try hitting NEXT on my car stereo and see if it makes it start playing.
I used to get ambushed with music automatically starting a couple of phones ago so I wound up using Tasker to simulate media button presses.
That sorted it for me and may be worth a try for both of you.
I think it's dependent upon your car. I've got Ford with Sync and buried somewhere in the menus is a bluetooth "autoplay" option - try disabling that (or enabling... depending on what you're looking for, of course)
My N4 does this in my Mazda 3. I absolutely HATE it. Any luck on a solution?
Like previous poster said, disable autoplay feature in car's bluetooth settings
I don't have that option on my car.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

This is not true. I have this happen with my Nexus 4 on stock 4.3 in THREE separate cars.
Is there seriously no solution to this? Does anybody even have any idea what causes this problem?
For me, its Fusion music player. But if I uninstall that, then it defaults to Google Music.
Hi all,
It seems as if this is one of those eternal questions that nobody can answer completely. I just cant get the music player (either LG Music player or Google play music) to stop autoplaying when i connect to the bluetooth in my car. I called Verizon and LG and neither of them have a solution. I figured this forum was the next good bet to either have a solution or a workaround. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for this annoyance.
Thanks!
I used greenify's "cut off" feature and that seems to have worked. I haven't noticed any side effects yet but I don't use the music player that much
Hi guys,
Just bought an S5 and I'm pretty happy with it until try to connect to my car!
I've an Bluetooth Audio Receiver installed by me on my car and before with my Samsung ACE2, I could pair and control forward/backward the music tracks on the car (the phone was on my pocket or sometimes on gloves compartment).
Now with my S5, I can pair but not possible to forward/backward the music tracks on the car!
I just can do that if I have the music app visible on the screen and with display turned on.
As I've power saving on the phone, every 15 seconds the display turn off and I lost the controls (music continues playing)!
Does someone know about this problem?
Never expected that big change from Bluetooth v2.0 to Bluetooth v4.0
Can someone propose a solution?
There is any option/setting for that king of features? ("controls via Bluetooth on/off")
thanks
