If its a Note 3 N9005 then you just download the OS version you want from Sammobile.Com and flash with Odin.
You can't go back, to JB if you don't like KK though as the bootloader won't allow it.
You will need to re-root it afterwards and Knox will be void.
If you used URDLV(sorry, bloody autocorrect) and Knox is still not tripped then look in the mobile Odin thread to upgrade without loosing root... You do need to flash a KK bootloader through PC Odin separately though.

Right, but in Sammobile.Com site has two versions to two operators - VIVO and CLARO (In Brazil), so can I choose one of both that it will work fine?

You have upgraded your bootloader by flashing N900ZSUBMJ2_N900OZSBMJ2_BRI, (your phone now has MJ2 build), you can not downgrade bootloaders on Samsung phones so you cant not go back to N900XXUBMJ1_N900OJVBMI5_KSA.
You will need to wait for your stock rom to be upgraded to MJ2 or you can flash CMW/TWRP and run custom roms.
Some users say Kies 3 Beta using 'Emergency Firmware Recovery' work to get their phone back to original but it didnt work for me.
The same happened to me but my stock was upgraded a few days later - had to run custom rom for nearly a week but back with stock rom now.

Soft brick N9005 please help me recover

Sorry if the question has previously been answered.
I have N9005 and tried to flash a ROM.
I have tried to flash using Odin on my PC, as I have previously used this successfully.
On this occasion it failed after partially flashing.
I have tried kies and kies3 both without success.
I suspect the solution may be simple but I am new to Samsung Odin kies etc.
edit fixed with help
I am familiar with adb and fastboot commands if these are useful.
Grateful for any help to recover a working phone, don't mind if I have to wipe phone data

Plug into KIES and do an emergency firmware recovery.
Or if you can get into download mode, fly over to djembay's thread and grab one of his images and flash via odin.

I tried Kies emergency firmware recovery without any sucess.
I will try Odin with the stock rom you suggest.
Can I select any ROm from djembay's thread ?
the one I have tried is N9005XXUDMJ7-PRE-ROOTED-KNOX-FREE-ODEX-BL-FREE, is this ok
What firmware are you on currently? Do you know? Bootloader etc? - is your KNOX already tripped? -- the ROM from that thread WILL trip it just so you are aware.

But yes if you are happy with the firmware being MJ7 and KNOX being tripped then you should be OK to try it.

[Q] Need a quick clarification on KNOX, AOSP and S-View

Hello all!
I just flashed the SM-N900W8 KitKat update through Odin, and I am still on Knox 0x0. I really want to try out CM11 and see how fast KitKat can fly on the Note 3!
I have gotten confused with the multiple threads for rooting and how to keep Knox 0x0, I'd like a bit of clarification. If I use CF-Root, can I keep 0x0?
Simply put, is it currently possible to flash CM11 on my SM-N900W8 and retain 0x0?
Finally, I have a genuine Samsung S-View cover. Is there some way to emulate the functions of the S-View case on AOSP?
Thanks!
Cf auto root= Knox 0×1

Using CF root will trip KNOX, but also installing a custom ROM (you want CM) will trip it anyway if you managed to root without 0x1
General answer is no though.
You can use Hatdroid S-Vew Pro if you decide to flash CM for your S-View cover though.

Well it can yes, however you still need to be rooted to use it. If you wanna root and keep 0x0 you need to be on MJ1/MJ2

I just pointed that out because I've read a lot of posts saying custom roms can't be installed 0x0. But it's wrong information, yes it can. (For now you just need to have your phone rooted before MJ3 knox 0x0)
See what I quoted about your post. CF-Auto Root will trip Knox, but if he/she find a way to root his/her phone keeping Knox cool, it's also possible to install cunstom rom.
So to OP: CF-Auto Root will trip knox and to install roms while keeping knox 0x0 you need root. So no luck for now.
There isn't many (if any left) that have lower than MJ6/MJ7 with their Notes.

I have a Telus SM-N900W8, I think it's unlocked? I see in the development forum, there was an update today for CWM for the SM-N900W8 with the KitKat source. Does that mean I can flash that straight from KitKat? Or should I downgrade to 4.3?
SM-N900W8 users are lucky in the fact that we can downgrade to 4.3 with no issues! I've sorta realized I'm going to trip Knox regardless haha. All I want to do now is make sure I don't brick.

You are one of the lucky ones (if yours is the Canadian or Mexican model, the w8 can upgrade and downgrade without any issues). - you can upgrade straight to KK yeah and then if you dislike it and have the said models you can go back to 4.3 without issue
Awesome! The thread I was talking about is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454079 I don't know of you have any advice on how I should proceed with this or not, should I downgrade to 4.3 and flash the cwm update from today for the SM-N900W8, or can it be flashed safely from KK?

From this post:
"The latest 4.3 official firmware (MK4 or later ) has KNOX enabled bootloader and can't be downgrade. So, don't try to downgrade If your bootloader is KNOX enabled."
That means: Check your bootloader through an app like Z-Device (playstore). If the last letter before the number is up to (and including) "J" you made the first price, but if it is "K" and up -> forget about downgrading.

If you just wanna OTA, why don't you just directly flash latest stock firmware and save yourself a trouble?
If you are on old bootloader, flash corresponding firmware, 4.2 I guess, and then OTA, update to 4.3 or 4.4 which contains new bootloader.
So why don't you just directly flash it instead of go back to stock and OTA it?

About bootloader, we currently have 2 type, old and new ones, old is KNOX free and new ones are KNOX'ed , which means avoid your warranty.
But since you are on 4.3 already so it concerns you no more, because either way (I think ) you will trigger the KNOX and avoid your warranty
Yes, flash stock 4.4 via Odin will reset recovery to Samsung stock recovery and lose root access (I am not sure about this, but last 3 times I flashed stock firmware via Odin, the son of a ***** just formatted my internal sdcard!!! )
And yes, you shall have OTA in the future (I don't know if root affects it or not ) but anyway, you can this all over again once there is new version comes out.
But if you just wanna "easy" upgrade, I can tell you that odin latest or old firmware is same process...
If u root ur phone u will receive and download OTA Updates. But the unique way for install them are through STOCK Recovery :highfive:

No, what I meant is that, either you go back to old version of stock and then OTA, or directly flash latest firmware stock, they are all SAME process.
So you "old stock -> OTA" is kinda like pointless strategy.
If you just wanna latest firmware, download latest firmware, and then odin flash in, done, and you can keep future OTA as long as you don't touch anything. and even you do, you can repeatedly odin flash again, the future latest firmware...
Yeah, sorry for my bad English which makes my comment quite mouthful, hope you can understand me...
