Music automatically starting when connected to car bluetooth - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
When I connect to the car stereo bluetooth, music automatically starts whether my default is Play music or Samsung's Music thingy.
After every function like pressing the voice recognition to make a call - the music starts at the end of the call even if I wasn't listening to music prior to making the call.
I basically can't stop the thing playing Music whenever it feels like it.
Any ideas?

Bluetooth Stereo Headset w/Phone - Stop Music Restart - Help!

I have a x7500 and using Bluetooth Receiver setup with headphones and headset for phone. Good news is that all of this actually works pretty well overall. Bad news is that my MP3 music players restart automatically after I receive a phone call upon the ending of the phone call I can tell Pocket Player not to restart after the phone call and this works. However, iPlay still wants to start no matter what! Is there any way to tell the audio gateway or A2DP or ???.....NOT to restart music after a phone call ends.
I would appreciate any help on this. I have been searching forums and looking at registry entries but no success in stopping the restarting of music players so far.
that is a software compatibility issue
i have no problem listinging or watching movies via AD2P
when phone comes in, it pauses, and goes to Phone mode
when i finish talking, and hang up
it switches back to Music / Movie mode in AD2P
no restart no issues at all
using CorePlayer
i got 3 different headsets
Jabra BT8010
Moto HT820
Sony DS970
they all work perfectly
my guess is the Pocket Player you are using?
try another Audio Player software
Yes. I agree. It is a compatability issue but sometimes there are still options to exert control. So Pocket Player has option to restart after phone call but iPlay does not. Thus Pocket Player offers pretty good control in this area. However, it just so happens that iPlay has some very, very high end features that I really like but just does not have the phone handling at this time with the version that I have (although plays fine thru Bluetooth). I am hoping there might be some registry setting to tell A2DP not to try to restart music after a phone call.
Anyone ever heard of the ability to do this?
doesn't have to be a software issue. I have the same problem but with Touch Flo 3D skin. It starts playing music after the call, even if before the call I wasn't listening to the music I've tried to disable the Touch Flo 3D, but then the standard Media Player starts after the call . I have to remember to turn off the music after every call - it's driving me crazy!!

[Q] Can I make autostart for music when Car-Panel is on?

Hi,
I have a Bluetooth device on my car and I enjoy playing my music on my mobile (Desire HD ofc) through the car's speakers, and of course making calls and thou.
But every time I turn on the car and then the car-device search and connect to my mobile (automatically! woho) and I configured the mobile to run the "Car-Home" Aplication automaticly when the device is connected,
So then of course I want to put music (through "PowerAMP" - player witch I added icon to the list) So I need to press on the icon of the poweramp and then it opens it and I need to click play and then return to the home-car.
Too many clicks just to make music run.
Is there any way to make my life easier then it already does?
Like making the power amp press play automaticly when Bluetooth headset is connected?
or configuring the car-home to do it, it self..?
Thank you,
Yarden.
any one?
Doesn't poweramp have that option in it's settings somewhere? It certainly did during its beta stages.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Well it only has an option that when I plug AUX speakers it automaticly Play and when I plug out it Pause.
But with Bluetooth headset it doesn't Play,
Only when I plug out it Pause.
I use CarHome Ultra and I leave Bluetooth on...so when I turn on the car, my EVO automatically connects and jumps to the CHU app. I'm also using PowerAmp for my music app...which is the best music app out to date. Then, all I have to do is push the play/pause button on my JVC radio and it starts playing whatever song I was last listening too. I open PA up every now and then, when I want to play a particular song. I hope this helps.

[Q] Pandora & Spotify Car Bluetooth Problem

I have a car which has a bluetooth system.
When I connect to it with both call and media audio enabled.
DIsplay says streaming audio and immediately starts playing Lg Music app.
Now if I switch to spotify or pandora, my car immediately pauses the music and then won't let me play spottify or pandora audio.
It just play for a sec and pauses again.
I don't want to use CM or others. I love the LG G2 orjinal UI.
Is there a way to fix this problem?
Yea i'm having similar problems. I downloaded an app called Bluetooth Auto Connect to connect to my car radio automatically when detected and launch google play music and that helps some. But i when i get a text audio stops even though the phone displays it as playing and music randomly pauses itself.

Allowing Bluetooth music playback during phonecall

With some music players, Spotify to name one, I can listen to music during a phone call, once the headphones are plugged in.
I wonder why this is not possible, during bluetooth external speaker playback.

Google Maps Voice directions

Hi,
Coming from a Windows phone it was possible to listen to my music on my car stereo and have Near maps giving me directions.
It seems with Google Andriod I have to switch my car stereo to Bluetooth device to get voice turn by turn directions and no music.
Is this the case ? Or can I have both music and voice directions at the same time ?
cheers
On my us997 G6 I can have both. When the map gives voice guidance it pauses the music and then resumes when maps is quite.
Thanks thats good to know.
Is your setup using the car stereo for music or your phone ?
In my case the music was on in the car stereo.
cheers

As far as I know and experienced it only works with both coming from your phone to the car speakers.
Maybe depends on the car setup, but if I play music on the car with USB no audio from the phone via Bluetooth.
Aaah okay, thats the problem, and thats how Windows phone works, Car stereo music and voice navigation from the phone.
Also can Android voice text messages and can you reply to them ? Another thing I miss from Windows phone.
Hi!
I'm using Sony MEX-N5100BT bluetooth car radio. I can both listen to music and use navigation with voice directions without any problems. I'm using Spotify, when the music is playing and voice direction is played, music's volume is turned down a bit and then returns to normal value.
I have to use "Bluetooth audio" mode in the radio, then all of the Media sounds are streamed only on the radio (music, games, youtube, navigation), and all notifications and ringtones are played both on the phone from the loudspeaker and streamed to the radio at the same time.
What music player are you using?
Some of them have separate setting where when there is sound interruption from different app the music pauses for second instead of being played quieter a little bit. I had such option back in the days in PowerAMP.
About text messages and replying - I'm not 100% sure about the reading option, probably radio-dependent... AFAIR Sony's companion app for the radio has it but it works in English, not in Polish.
But I have some sort of Google Now integration in my radio, I can press the button on volume jog and Google Now launches, waiting for me to say the command, f.e. "SMS to ***"
My Car stereo is an Apline CDE-W235EBT thats what I play music on.
cheers

Maybe Windows phone uses the voice protocol for the voice directions on navigation, that's how it could interrupt your music you are playing on your car.
Android uses the media protocol for voice directions/music and the voice protocol for phone calls I think.
Is it such a big deal for you to play the music from your phone, so you would have the feature you want?
Thanks, krysden
It's more convenient to use the car stereo than the phone for music. I turn the key, engine starts, music starts and I'm on my way.
