Alright, my friend has a Verizon LG G2 and i helped him install Malladus 2.0.1. He was previously on Malladus v1.2.5, and he followed this guide here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xsU9W656TA-Lw1LAlL7hqROf2QjiOI2puyDU-DDP41Q/edit and everything went okay. When he tried to restore his apps via Titanium Backup by trying to restore the apps from the nandroid, the apps didn't show up. In the guide, it said if you need to go back to android 4.2.2, you need to flash the 12B radio, so he flashed the 12B radio and restored his backup of Malladus 1.2.5. After rebooting into system, he got stuck in a boot loop, so he tried to get back into recovery, but wasn't able to because it wouldn't turn off. Also, he could not get adb access and now his device doesn't respond at all when clicking any buttons or plugging it into the charger/computer. Any ideas?
edit: charger doesn't charge the device
bump
Has he tried removing the battery?

Unfortunately, you can't remove the battery on the lg g2, but he left the phone plugged in over night and he is now able to get into download mode
edit:he got into recovery, so i think we're good now

Hi, just wondering if anyone has seen an issue like mine. I looked but did not find a thread or problem like what I am having right now. I have an original VS980, I was using TWRP 2.6.3.3 (the newest one) and tried to flash the new CM11 nightly and GAPPS, and it boot looped. I went back into TWRP using the vol down and power buttons, and installed a stock rom. Still boot looped. I restored a backup that I had actually restored and used before, of an earlier CM11 build, and that bootlooped too!!! So I have tried a couple of methods of restoring to stock firmware, and each time I am reaching the same point. The phone boots and the setup wizard starts. I click next, and the little activation window pops up, and just spins until the phone reboots. There is no signal showing during this.
I can get into download mode, and I can do factory resets. But I still can't get my phone activated, so I can't get into the stock ROM, to root or install TWRP again. Any ideas? Hopefully someone can help me by tomorrow, I am without a phone (I'll be fine lol).
Try doing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960
And if/when you get it working, don't use TWRP 3.3, it's all kinds of FUBAR'd at the moment. If you use 3.2 you'll be just fine.

Yes, I tried this. When it boots, it just gets stuck at activation.
BUMP NEED HELP!!!
EDIT: More info, so maybe someone can see where I went wrong. I tried the WACOMalt method, and flashed VS98010B_13.tot to my phone. Someone in that thread mentioned that if you are on VS98011A then flashing VS98010B might not work. Then I tried a few times with a different restore method to flash a VS98011A stock image, and came to the same result, boots fine but does not activate and I cannot do anything with the phone.
gotta say twrp 2.6.3.3 is working fine here on d802 uk and has been for the last week or so ive flashed roms, restored from backups and all was fine -providng you've got the latest twrp or cwm youll have no problems
Sounds like you are zeroed. Check status for IMEI, ect. If good, you may need to "reactivate" online. If not, hope you backed up EFS, would be time to restore it. If both the latter fail, flash stock and go to Verizon.

Did you back up your EFS?

Unfortunately no.
Edited ^ Our EFS isn't in a separate partition. A bad wipe can and will destroy it. EVERYONE should back this up after root, no matter what you're doing with the phone. And store it in a few places.

What do you mean "check status"? If you mean from system settings -> about phone, I cannot even get to that since I am stuck in setup wizard. I am planning on going to Verizon tomorrow, first thing in the morning. I have already flashed stock, so they will not see anything out of the ordinary. I am also bringing my HTC Rezound, in case I need to go back to that. Hopefully they can help me reactivate the G2 though...
There's a key combo to pass that. Go online on your account, switch theline over to the rezound, activate, back to the g2, try and let it go through activation. If it doesn't work, return. Sounds like your EFS is gone though.
Okay, I tried that. I can bypass the setup wizard by pressing vol up, then vol down, then back. I took my sim card out to do this. Under about phone, it shows unknown for emei and all the other settings. But I keep getting an issue, whenever I turn the screen off, it cannot turn back on and I have to reboot it. So, I think my EFS is messed up, but I have restored stock. I can get into the rom and look at about phone settings. But I am having issues with the screen turning off and not turning back on. And when that happens the phone reboots itself after a while.
I don't have my Rezound sim card on me right now to try activating it. I will just find it tonight and take everything to Verizon tomorrow. I'm sure they will help me out of this jam. Thanks for your help dude!
You are zeroed regardless, as you suspected, nothing to do but return. Back up that EFS next time! If you are stock, you'll be fine and get a "new" refurb. Someone will get your nice refurb when it's repaired. You're good.
Long story short (I can go into more detail if needed):
Had a stock rooted rom with a zv8 radio/modem on sprint. I successfully flashed the Optimus 2.2 rom with the new ZVA (Sprint Spark) modem and everything was fine and dandy and working perfectly for a few hours. Then i was a dummy and restored apps from my previous roms using mybackup and one of those apps was the xposed installer with a few different modules.
Phone froze, rebooted and would no longer attatch to a network. No signal, just a red x. No radios work, not even wifi or bluetooth. If the screen goes blank the phone will freeze and bootcycle. Or if it is on for more then a minute, it will freeze and turn off and get stuck in a bootloop.
Recovery worked. I tried everything. Flashing other roms, with the appropriate radios of course, and restoring my backup with the appropriate radio. Nothing works, and ive had the same issue with each and every rom and radio.
I finally whipped out lgflashtool and returned to stock unrooted to no avail. Same issue, except now my touchscreen is not responsive, which means no adb to reroot and the pc doesn't recognize the phone while booted. Now im aware of a method using Ubuntu to get a custom recovery on these when all else fails, but is it worth my time if there is no fixing my issue?
Also, how much can you do with the lgflashtool? Can i flash different radios or root using it?
Worst case scenario i will take my phone to sprint and get a warranty replacement. The only issue with that is, while the rootchecker in download mode shows "unrooted" , the boot animation on the stock .tot image is an lg one, not the Sprint logo one and i feel like the service person would catch on. Any idea on how to change that as well?
Thanks in advance guys! Im kind of freaking out that im running out of options.

I've done this. But I found one from a new source and I'll try it again. Would I need to flash the radio again? Thank Thank you for the help.
This is almost embarrassing to post, but I need some help...
I have the T-Mobile G2, btw, which was rooted and with TWRP 2.6.3.3
So I was installing an AOSP ROM, and like a dumbass, instead of installing gapps like I meant to do, I accidentally flashed Smikey's KitKat ROM on top of Cyanfox. I realized it too late to stop it, and once the flash finished, I did a wipe of everything but internal storage and tried to restore a backup of CloudyStock. When I rebooted it goes to the LG screen with a secure boot error, and then a black screen where you can still see the backlight if you tilt the phone.
I tried using the LG Mobile Support tool to go back to stock, (It will go into download mode), but I can't get it to push any of the three stock images to the phone.
Holding down and power to do a hardware reset doesn't work either.
Help!!!
I picked up a cheap Tmobile prepaid to use until I get this figured out, but I want my G2 back! Does anyone have any advice at all, or did I brick my phone beyond repair?
I forgot to mention, I'm not sure if it's the phone or the drivers aren't properly installed on my computer, but LG Mobile support tool is reading my phone as a V500...

Anyone know if this method for unbricking the Optimus G will work?
So, I fumbled the phone when in TWRP & I've wiped the whole system - data, cache, etc - there's nothing on the phone anymore.
So, when I turn it on, I get stuck at the LG screen.
I can get into download and TWRP. I've got access to adb on the desktop. Not sure if the adb is turned on on the phone when this all happened.
So, is there a way back?
I just want my phone back in a loading state. I'd send it in under warranty, but it's rooted, so I'm sure the response will be that I've voided the warranty.
I did have Cloudy G3 1.3 running but was having all sorts of issues with the data connection. Went to go back to stock, but that's when I fumbled the phone.
Help please?

Just use the following website, flash to stock then root and download recovery. After that, you may do whatever you like. Use the KDZ method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
You should be able to just use adb push command in twrp even if you didn't have adb enabled in settings.

It's alive!
Got it back thanks to the first response.
Having said that, I'm getting the impression that there are not a lot of options out there for the D803 that DON'T work completely. I guess I'm stuck with stock? I hate all the bloatware on the Rogers variant. I can uninstall most with Titanium Backup, but can't seem to get rid of the Rogers app - it says it can't find the apk file? Maybe the permissions are protecting it?
Is there a ROM out there that people are happy running on the Rogers (D803) variant?
Hello Anyone,
I have the LG v20 rooted for some time now with Android N and working good.
Two days ago, I removed some apps with titanium backup and i think one of them was a facebook installer apk, one was the visual voicemail apk and the other was something like tether provision apk. Then I placed the phone on a charge for a bit.
When I came back to the phone, it seemed to have rebooted but was stuck on the AT&T logo after the LG Logo. I did a battery pull and same thing. I removed the sim card, same thing happened. Since it was hot, I let it cool and then tried again, no difference.
I backed up the partitions and then did a wipe and reinstalled the rom, it works taking me to the homescreen. I then tried to reinstall the backup and it goes back to the AT&T logo and hangs.
Is there any way to figure out what file I deleted that is causing the hang and how to put it back with TWRP so I can start booting the phone properly again?
Thanks.

If you're rooted and have access to twrp just dirty flash your rom

No it won't just wipe system, davlik, and cache also don't forget to flash supersu or magisk right after you flash the rom before you boot to system

ok, thanks. I ran into some trouble when i did that where my phone was asking for the passcode and eveytime i entered it, it came back as the wrong code. Then my phone rebooted into TWRP after the 10th attempt and then got stuck in a TWRP boot loop.
I got out of the twrp boot loop and reflashed the rom, then restored only my data file since my system file backup was not booting (original problem)
In case anyone else has this issue, if you have the TWRP recovery and your phone does a reboot into the recovery for factory reset, your phone will only reboot into TWRP unless you do a battery pull (or force shutdown) and then manually boot the phone into TWRP, then reboot into the system.
