Here's your step by step guide..
1- Download a black image to your phone - see attachment
2- Set your brightness to max
3- load the black picture
4- view in a very dark place - Under a duvet in a dark room is best.
5- Start counting!
6- post and click in poll
After a week with my M8 I noticed a couple of stuck pixels last night as I went to take a shot in near darkness. The screen went to full auto brightness and I noticed two stuck pixels. I downloaded an app today to try and fix them but found another! Just tried this on my M7 and found 2, and 2 on my iPad.
The real purpose to this thread is to see how common this is. Maybe most of the phones are affected and therefore probably not worth the bother of having replaced.
How many have you got?!
One but hardly noticeable lol
---------- Post added at 09:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:00 PM ----------
I could have got it replaced but I got it online and really didn't want to wait three days for the new one lol
I have 4. I never noticed them until you started this thread, so I'm going to blame you lol! JK... they're hardly noticeable unless the screen is on full brightness with black backround. All other colors come through as they should.
No stuck pixels here on my 2 weeks old mate. Really happy about my phone.

Sometimes they come like that from the factory, sometimes they develop later on, but usually if it's free of defects from the beginning it will stay that way.

Has anyone noticed a green hue on the screen, its only just noticable.
I've got my note set on maximum brightness and i only notice it on some apps that i'm using.
Take using the XDA app. When scrolling thought the threads and forums i notice that the screen takes on a slight green hue when i stop scrolling and the when i start scrolling again the screen turns white again.
Is this a known issue or could it be just my note? Can anyone else test this and get back to me with your results and opinion please.

I do have exactly the same feeling on XDA forum pages when scrolling, and more generally a green tint... Slight but there... (And I had two Notes so far. The first one exchanged because of grey shades on the screen and the second one slightly greener than the first one). An I'm sure there isn't two screens alike...
I also noticed a big red splodge when using my camera. It was in low light n i pointed it a white wall. Check it out n get back.
Does anyone think there will be a fix for all these niggles?

I have had my note for a week. Try this: lower your brightness setting to a little less than halfway. Then open up a browser page that's all white. Now tilt the screen to the side in either direction, you will see the whites become green. Let me know your observation.

It does a little but that doesnt bother me too much. Its more the scrolling i was on about in some apps, mainly noticed it in the xda app. Doesnt matter which brightness setting i have it on, i still notice it in the xda app

Duno myn just went the more I used it
it's a software problem.
i've noticed the same thing happening to me, whites becoming green in hue while browsing. this issue is especially pronounced when browsing xda using the xda app, and so to determine if it was a hardware or a software issue, i screen capped instances of the screen being normal and being greenish.
result is the greenish hue was still present even in the screen capture. pics below are the actual screenshots and a comparison with raised saturation to better show the difference.

ok, i just tried it on mines, and yes its apparent. its like when you scroll, it becomes beige but as soon as you stop, the background becomes green. i would personally keep it because i think everyone has this. also, the next device might be worse. like on mines, at first i was annoyed about the white becoming greenish when tilting the device, but based on other folks reposes, it seems that everyone's does it, so i have decided to keep mines.

I got a big GREEN splodge when pointing to a white background. This is not a screen problem, it's a camera problem. You not notice only in the screen but also in the actual picture if you take it.
Found somewhere an explanation of this problem that is general to all kind of cameras that have the sensor to near the optics.
I think Samsumg has tried to solve the PINK problem by software, just trying to apply an opposite filter to the PINK, and that's why I getting GREEN

Ive got the exact same observation... But its not that bothersome. Im thinking its in the software as its obviously not a "capability" thing. I get great whites, etc.
Im just happy with no dead pixels and damn this device is nice!

I have noticed tyr exact same Thing. When i tilt the note (not by much) the screen gets a green color. Guess that should disapear.
Also when i scool there is a slight color change.
I have had my Nexus 7 for around 3 weeks, it was perfect, I was so happy with it and I had no problems with the screen lift/bleed like many other people. I knew it was risky to buy the first batch after all of the problems reported on these forums, but now my Nexus 7 has the blue and red stuck pixels that are only visible on a black background with the brightness turned up, I can also see them when I boot the tablet. I have added pictures below, although it makes it look like the screen is bleeding, it is not, it is just the way the photo was taken. I bought it from Tesco Direct so I have a week left to return it, should I or is it risky because I could get a device with even more faults?
Thanks
From those photos it looks like there is no problem at all. Where are we supposed to be looking? Are they in the middle of the screen?
The judgement call is yours. Can you live with the fault? If you can't take it back. The chances of repeatedly getting a dud are slim.

Mother of GOD ! there are other icon imprints as well if I look closely !!
Hope it doesn't get darker than this ...
You won't find away around it unfortunately.
These screens are both fantastic and both sh*t at the same time. It's good technology but it isn't perfected. My original SGS went terrible. After nearly 2 years on it I could see perfectly the alarm icon and almost every icon I had on my home screen on light and dark backgrounds - It's a nice screen but it will only get worse within time.
As others have said only real solution is to keep altering your backgrounds and home screens but tbh I wouldn't bother, you'll still get burn from the time and other icons in the status bar.
Until Samsung sort them out and improve how they work it's just the way it's going to be
Whoa!! That is scary!
I have heard that there is no solution for a burn-in..? Thanks for the advice though. I'll keep changing the layout constantly.

If it bothers you or gets worse, return them under warranty? You probably won't notice that anyway under normal usage.
Maybe the lcd settles in a couple of weeks and they disappear!

Does SuperAMOLED still have that problem where the screen gets worse the dimmer you set the brightness? It was really bad on my T-mobile S2 with visible lines, better but still gnarly on my S3, and my current Note 2 its okay but the colors look drained and whites dingy. Does the diamond pattern matrix improve any of this in the Note 3?
No!! Its getting worse..mine got yellow tint upper and pink hue below screen... i hav no idea why is samy using this diamond shape where the blue n red is bigger pixel than green..it just prove they are fail in this....
