Conflicting model info - Model n900 or n7100 - Galaxy Note II General

Ok, so I have in my possession what appears to be either a clone, knock off, or generic version of a Samsung Note. The sticker in the battery compartment says it is a model SM-N900W (Note3). However, when I enter the IMEI number at IMEI.info it says it is a model N7100 (Note II).
From IMEI.info:
Model: N7100 Galaxy Note II
Brand: SAMSUNG
IMEI: TAC: 355808 FAC: 02 SNR: 690184 CD: 0
Basic information:
Device typehone

Memory card:MicroSD max. 64 GB
RAM Memory:2048 MB
OS:Android 4.1
CPU type:Samsung Exynos 4412
CPU freq.:1600.0 MHz
QWERTY keyboard:
The hardware appears to be a Note II but the software is clearly not Samsung and the S-Pen is just a capacitive stylus. I would like to flash an actual Samsung ROM but have tried both of those model numbers using Odin3 but have been unsuccessful:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> CF-Auto-Root-ha3g-ha3gxx-smn900.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
Part of the problem is that when I enter recovery mode, the options are in Chinese and I have no idea what to choose.

Have you tried flashing a custom recovery? That would make it english. Bear in mind though if this isnt a genuine sammy device flashing anything not meant for it could result in bricking

No, I only tried the two stock Roms I mentioned. Which custom recovery should I try first?
I'll install Kies as well and see if that tells me anything new.

So can a clone be flashed with an actual Samsung ROM and if so, which one would I use?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app

its a clone... its not samsung... and NO... you cant flash any samsung official or custom firmware on it.

So no Samsung ROMs will work, but how do I at least get rid of the Chinese in the recovery screen?

Did a quick search, likely that the brand of your phone is Jiake or Star.
Maybe this can be of help to you :

Ok, using the Root Genius tool suggested on NeedRom . com I was able to root the device. That was easy. Now then, the site says to download an .img file and says it is "recovery for STAR N900W based on SM-N900HA 20131108 . install the recovery with mobile uncle tools."
I installed Mobile Uncle and flashed the recovery img. The img from NeedRom.com was pretty much stock though. I'm gonna try another one the have on that site that purports to be based on the Samsung Note 3 img. We'll see...

hey trick thanks, but also if i update it will it relock it to bell? im currently using it with fido
Probably not a bad idea to hard reset before and after as this is a major version jump (if you're coming from 2.1 Eclair).
Will give this a go in a bit.

Are you in Download mode? If so close Odin, remove and reinsert the USB cable, and re-open Odin and try again.
Does 3 button download/recovery still work as well?
If it does is it 2e or 3e recovery?

Mmm Clone .. does MTK resemblance to Korean Phones , ??
downlado Cpu Z for this phone or for my PC ..
here is image i took from my phone under the battery
If this was clone is there any way to install Kernal and Firmware like Orgnal phones..wht tool should i us then ?
Chances are it is not a fake but someone used this guide. That would explain the chinese part
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2429309
Possibly not fake, cause the usual "give aways" (spelling errors, and the printing of characters) don't look bad.
On the other hand, it is probably not a trully stock phone, as it looks like on your last screenshot the clock look blue, which should not be in the stock version (could be wrong, but that's a feeling).
So if really it has been tampered with as suggested above this post, you could probably revert back to a true stock stuff
EDIT :
Although I'm not certain about the quality of the printing of the sticker and other molded parts.
I just opened mine and had a look, and it look like the mentions "SIM" and "Micro SD" are finer on mine, so is the printing on the sticker.
Maybe somebody else can check theirs
Thanks guyz .. finally i got this .. now i am 99.99% sure that its Korean Clone ...
See Images below ..
GUyz jst confrm it that its Orignal or Korean ... if its korean then tell me where can i finds its firmware and kernal and which apps to flash this ..

first thank's for your interest
it's only for SM-G7105 device don't try to flash on SM-g7102
you have i think good dev and rom for SM-G7102 like this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/development/rom-gennxt-s5-project-t2885629
Rooted or not?
you can say if it have root?
NICE JOB! if you don`t like make root meybe can share kittchen and i try make clean rom with root
also if i try flash via odin saing if:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> Evo-5-V1.0.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
of course i try redownload.
and what about root??
if you did'nt get root follow these steps surely you will have root access:
1-ad su in system/bin and /xbin and also add superuser.apk under /app
2-use this attached kernel because it is rooted by me.
3-do not include cache.img.ext4 in your md5 file because it flashes csc after firmware flashed by odin and if there's any customisation in system it will get failed you may get a bootloop.
latest 2.02 SU attached kindly use this beause it has more fixes.

Well it IS on SamMobile and labeled as T-Mobile USA: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910T3/
There are actually SM-N910T, SM-N910T2, and SM-N910T3 acording to the Bluetooth SIG site: https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=25312
My guess is they are just different hardware revisions of the T-Mobile USA variant. I remember the Note 3 had at least two hardware revisions, the second one had a different display driver chip than the first one and TRWP had to build a new version for it to make the screen brightness work again.
This firmware image could be just a "common" firmware image for all three revisions.

For what its worth here is the build info from COD6 vs DOFC modem.bin. It looks like they both refer to the N910T as N910T.002 and both using the Qualcomm MDM9225M baseband.

I know, I did it like a 6 months ago, I bought a 900F and then flashed it with 900T firmware and now I can't flash it back to it's original fw.
So there really is no way to disable secure download?

That's impossible there's no way you could've done that unless it was a G900T disguised as a fake G900F or you bricked it. What model does it say in Download mode?

Download mode now says SM-G900T
But I know for sure it was SM-G900F when I bought it.
And if I check my imei number on imei.info it shows SM-G900F
http://www.imei.info/?imei=352558067456393
It's pretty difficult to change what download mode reports, I don't know so I won't go as for as to say impossible, I would trust it though, if everything software related is saying 900T and the sticker says F I would trust download mode more.

It's a G900T. It was never a G900F. Many people have the same situation. They buy the S5 thinking it's the G900F but sellers falsely label it as the G900F while it's a different model. This is because the G900F will sell much better because it's not a carrier model.

That sticker behind the battery looks pretty fake. The battery on the S5 is 2800 Mah, not 1800 as it shows on the sticker.
But what about the imei? When I check it on imei.info
it shows 900F.
Me too... My phone before is G900F and i brick it and then i don't know i just flash something and then it become G900K. My model version at the back is g900f but in download mode is g900k.

Well, certainly without some advanced knowledge and research flashing entire firmwares between models is ill advised for sure..
However, I have an SM-N9100 =- that's the Chinese duals SIM variant Note 4 -- and I've gotten more than a few different Note 4 firmwares to function just fine thank-yew.
I'm still figuring out HOW I managed to do that.. LOL
You can try to flash Firmware in binary form (SamFirm), I had an issue with flashing unbranded firmware on my S5 as it always told me wrong partition size (I think for CSC). Flashing in binary form fixed it. So probably (safe) repartition phone is only possible this way.
Another thing you can try is to downgrade your firmware to KitKat. For me it helped once restoring lost IMEI in combination with EFS Professional.
But if your IMEI is still alright (*#06#) make a EFS Backup first. Samsung made it far too easy to corrupt EFS partition, happened to me already a few times, but always had a backup after the first time that fixed it in a minute. Otherwise it's a lot of work.
