Just got a Motorola Droid R2D2 (OTA updated it to GB 2.3.3, installed root and recovery). Could not wait to change the ROM on this thing. Well I guess I'll have to!! So far, I can't find any ROMs at all for it?! All the links lead to dead sites! I even tried finding them on Google, or other forums like DroidForums.net, no dice!
Here's what I want to try, in order of preference:
1. Galnet MIUI
2. Liberty 3 v2
3. Apex ROM
4. Fission ROM
I realize its a 2010 phone, but so is my HTC Desire, and I can still get ROMs for that. Any clue here? Thanks.
most of the links for the roms have been removed due to the stop of development. theres only a few thats still working. rom manager and rom toolbox has cm7. goo manager has some. liberty rom still works but was never finished so theres still a lot of bugs. theres an miui rom on there website. and liquid smooth has an ics rom thats pretty cool. hope this was helpful.
The links were not removed.
The file sharing sites were taken down by the FBI and files were never reuploaded
Many working links in my list

Thanks mucho for your list. After several days of searching, I stumbled across it (several days before reading this reply). It was like water in the desert. The only working links I could find to ROMs for the D2.

Could not find anything on ROM Manager, but maybe it requires the paid version to list. Never heard of Goo Manager, I'll check it out. I really wanted MIUI on the D2, but no answer from them on where I can find the ROM when I posted on their site. Not sure if the D2 will do ICS as smoothly as GB, bit I'll try and find a working link to Liquid Smooth.
Have you tried looking on rootzwiki or droid forums? I believe that is where liquid smooth and the miui rom are. Thanks @shadow

Hi !
Can someone tell me where the list of CM7 Nightlies are listed? I decided that after " ALL " that I went through this weekend, I decided to re-root my NC back to CM7.
I really liked the looks of the CM9, but for my NC it was not as fast, it was horribly hard to even turn the NC on. The touch was not as sensitive, etc. Think I will wait on this.
If someone could tell me where the list of nightlies are for CM7?
Thanks

You can get the latest which is a bit old, last November, from the cyangenmod website. Sorry I am too green to be allowed to link to outside websites you will need the gingerbread version of google apps as well if you want them.
This post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000957
has the links. I am using verygreens method to run off of a micro sd card.
I just switched back to CMY7 myself because of lack of touch sensitivity and I could not get the calendar to sync. Becuase I am suing the card I just needed to switch back to my old card.

Hello everyone, i was hoping someone can help me out on a problem im having flashing roms. I was using cm7 up to yesterday. Whenever i try to flash a droid 2 rom it'll say failed kernel check and it aborts. Now ive read around about some roms needing to be gingerbread based. But im not sure how to do that. Im rooted 2.3.4 .621. Is there anything i can do or are there any roms that work on. 621? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

Hey shadow thanks for helping me once again. I looked over your list of roms and i really liked the steel droid custom ics. Whenever i try to flash it tells me this :
asser failed: run_program ("/temp/check_kernel")
==0
error in /sdcard/sd2_gb_3000.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted
that's the problem i have been facing when i try to flash other roms also. Any clue as to what's wrong?
1. check which version of cwm is it 2.0 or 5.0?
2. you are choosing Install zip from sd card, not apply sdcard: update.zip?
---------- Post added at 10:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:03 PM ----------
if cwm recovery is still 2.0, and rom manager will not update it correctly
even if cwm recovery is 5.0, you may need to remove it
remove d2 bootstrap app, then use a root browser, and delete /preinstall/recovery folder
then install the modified D2 bootstrap that has updated to 5.0 cwm

Its a good thing I did a search because I was just about to post this too. Looks like they already started the daily updates, the 27th just got released. I am assuming its just like the first release and we just flash both zips to install it. Sounds like its not the initial preview that was released the first day so it might be more functional. Who knows, not sure if I want to risk it right now.

Just wondering, but on the daily downloads page there are zip files similar to the ones that I used to flash when it was first release. Can these be flashed in the same manor? Also notice that one of the them is a zip.md5sum file, assuming that one would need to be renamed to just .zip in order to flash. Not sure, I sent in an email to Ubuntu to clarify because there download instruction page does not talk about the zip files.

They're meant for the Ubuntu phablet-flash as far as I know. You need the IMG file, and that's not exactly flashable in CWM or TWRP right now.

Anyone want to start a thread or wiki who can keep track of changes that people notice. What apps are showing, what works, etc? Maybe a "change log" of changes noticed throughout past week or since the first dailies, if we have enough room. I would do this myself, but do not have the time to backup, flash, document, reload backup, update thread, etc.
But simply if i download quantal-preinstalled-armel+maguro.zip of the day and phablet.zip wouldnt it be enought to flash ubuntu?

I read on the Ubuntu-Touch mailing list that change logs will be implemented next work week (Mar 4th-8th) for the daily builds.
Thanks for that. I flashed the initial Developer Preview and then flashed a slightly newer build from this past Monday/Tuesday. Didn't notice any obvious differences. A change log would be really helpful.

I see there are 6.0 ROMs for most variants, however, the Verizon S5 Dev Edition is not being added to the the builds. Is it because there are so few out there? It looks like I had only uploaded my nightlies through 27 Mar. If you are hitting the problem in the below bug report, there was a commit to CM that should be in my 29 Mar build. I'd recommend grabbing my latest and hopefully it fixes things.

If that is a no-go then when I get home I can identify a combo that I know works -- I clean flashed last week. Dirty flashing after that initial go seems to be ok.
I'll wait to hear from you when you get home. I like the rom very much. But I need apps too.

Did you try the 29 Mar build? The CM patch was in there that should have fixed the setup bug. That said, give this combo a try:
Opengapps 20160227: https://github.com/opengapps/arm/releases/tag/20160227
Specifically, I used 20160227 mini: https://github.com/opengapps/arm/releases/download/20160227/open_gapps-arm-6.0-mini-20160227.zipMy 23 Mar Build: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995308580
Please make sure to do a full wipe -- format /system, format /cache, wipe /data.
Keep in mind that the only thing special about this build is the proprietary files, init.cc, and kernel config -- we're fighting CM/GAPPS bugs and compatibility problems here.

go to .13 itll be more stable
I just converted yesterday and went from .11 to .13 just to check it out before trying OB10. I will say it has been very stable and smooth with zero problems so far, so I will probably stay on it until I see some feedback on OB10 even though I've heard from a friend on here that OB10 is better. But I figure it won't be long before there is a thread started on it. I would have under his advice installed it yesterday but just ran out of time due to MSM giving me errors at first.
On OB10, zero issues for me.
I am on OB10 and have no issues either. I like it. I never had an issue with any of the Beta's. They are mostly minor bug fixes and rarely new features.
