Hi !
Can someone tell me where the list of CM7 Nightlies are listed? I decided that after " ALL " that I went through this weekend, I decided to re-root my NC back to CM7.
I really liked the looks of the CM9, but for my NC it was not as fast, it was horribly hard to even turn the NC on. The touch was not as sensitive, etc. Think I will wait on this.
If someone could tell me where the list of nightlies are for CM7?
Thanks

You can get the latest which is a bit old, last November, from the cyangenmod website. Sorry I am too green to be allowed to link to outside websites you will need the gingerbread version of google apps as well if you want them.
This post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000957
has the links. I am using verygreens method to run off of a micro sd card.
I just switched back to CMY7 myself because of lack of touch sensitivity and I could not get the calendar to sync. Becuase I am suing the card I just needed to switch back to my old card.

I read the above mentioned link. It did list several nightlies, but no actual links to them. I am a somewhat newbie...and I don't know how to build my own links.

I have read this as well. Like I stated above, I am a newbie, so can you give me the actual link you used for this? Sounds like something I'd like.
I think I found the link, and your right I do like it better than just the CM7 link. The CM7 link that I orginally downloaded had several apps that I didn't like, but no way to remove them. This one does not!
Thanks

I think the same thing! but we gotta work with what we GOT!!!
Seems like Glitch kernel gets the capacitive buttons fixed (reoriented kernel)
To get past the lockscreen press menu and back.
The two touch is anoying, but everything works. For the most part hold down one finger and use the other one two scroll and click (trackpad like?).
But yah, it works and i can navigate through all the settings and stuff. Can't wait to see how far this goes (data and stuff).
Edit: after screen turns of touch seems to break. rebooting fixes.
Has anyone tried this?

Okay so far it's def a patch to 4.0.3 but because everything is a patch as in bootloader.blob and build.prop.p and SystemUI.apk.p everything is basically a xxx.apk.p ending with a ".p" which is patch.. I'm going to try and open the build.prop which is what would tell you it is in a hex editor to see if it decrypts it

Cool, thanks for looking at this. I wonder why Acer is sending an OTA for this now.
Yeah it's just a newer version of Ice Cream Sandwich.. (Updated 4.0.3) basically all they did was updated most of the apps added some new ones in like Chrome etc.. Updated a bunch of libs and the GPS.. Looks like a newer patched recovery and bootloader as well... Nothing to special that you can't get on your own if you are posting here on XDA... Mine is running CM 10.2 so in my book I'm on the latest OTA set forth by "us" and not Acer lol....
Hope this helped you guys or anyone looking for some info!

It's interesting to see that. I heard the new 4.3 KK will help some older devices because the optimized core, but that's for those really old ones, not a dual core tab like A500. What's the reason for Acer to totally abandon A500? I do run in a lot problems even after I deleted all my apps. It just SOD for no obvious reason. And for this reason, I'm stir clear of Acer completely. I thought Acer was using the tablet market as a chance to expend their market in US but the real impact to me is it actually made me realize how bad a brand it is and I should avoid it at all cost.

Interesting. Everyone's experience is different; I for one love acer products. I have the a500 that works great. I use it everyday at work. I have two acer laptops as well. I prefer these over me Dell desktop and Samsung i7 laptop. If the acer liquid s2 ever came to the USA I would drop my Note 2 in a heart beat.
Hello,
I'm a little late to the Razr M game, but I just got a device off ebay since it's only about a year old and in great shape and quite cheap :good:
In any case, I've so far managed to unlock the radio for Tmobile in the US (GSM), and root it the device. Unfortunately, I didn't know when i bought it about the inability to unlock the bootloader with OTA from May and beyond, which mine is according to fastboot. I believe I came across the actual number being 98.18.78 somewhere.
So I've been doing a lot of reading, got SafeStrap running, made a stock backup, and am testing on slot1. However, I can't seem to get any CM ROM's running! Most of them 'boot' but then all I get is a blank screen, though I can connect with adb and therefore confirm that it does actually run some CM build.
I'm first of all somewhat confused on what ROM i should be using. I've found several links that should seem like they work, but none have succeeded (all have that halfway functionality that only works in ADB):
http://d-h.st/FgU
http://skrilax.droid-developers.org/cm10.1nightly/razrqcom/index.php?device=xt907
http://goo.im/devs/Hashcode/scorpion_mini/cm10.1
http://skrilax.droid-developers.org/cm10.2nightly/razrqcom/index.php?device=xt907
I found these in various threads on XDA and droidrazr.com. I basically read the entire 55 pages of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012093 and since the link in the first page is dead I tried all the links that came up on the thread, which got a couple of the links in my list above.
Also, I did run across the tip that I had to mount system in SafeStrap to get these working, no success. And what's this thing about having to wipe dalvik and system and cache two or three times??
Basically I'd like the proper, up to date link that should be working, along answer to above question and and other tips!
Thanks!!! I love the phone otherwise it's great
UPDATE:
I did manage to get an CyanogenMod spinning forever startup screen with an ancient rom described here http://www.droidviews.com/install-first-aosp-based-unofficial-cm10-rom-on-motorola-droid-razr-m-xt907/ which appears to have come again from the thread mentioned above. ---------- Post added at 07:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:47 PM ----------
There are others but they are not current.
Well, none of the custom ROMs out now will work with SS. Their are some stock based ROMs, one of which was posted by Avi, that will work with SS. There are some older ROMs that were designed for SS and they were built prior to April (when our bootloader was unlocked). You'll have to dig back a couple of page to find them. I know there was SS compatible CM10 in that link you posted, but I don't think the link is active for it anymore. If you decide to run an older SS compatible ROM on your newer system version, you're going to run into kernel issues. Things like the gallery not working and WiFi signal being weak. Your best bet right now is to load a stock ROM on slot 1 and start tweaking that with XPosed and enabling Init.d so you can get some performance tweaks going.
Thanks for the response, I'll check those out. Glad to find some up to date roms haha

Thanks for the help and links, I have the deodexed SS version from your link working. I see that it is not a debloated version; is the odexed version debloated?
Also I was originally hoping for a ROM with functionality like Cyanogenmod, but I guess the situation is too specific for that too happen. I might be interested in getting to ROM making/customizing at some point, I did some preliminary reading, I should be able to edit the deoxed SS ROM and then 'stitch it up again' in simplest terms, and it will still work on my device, correct? I feel like editing a ROM would be a great way to learn more about Android/Linux/bootloaders etc before I go to college.

The odexed is DST which means a debloated to the same specs at the Telstra build. The SD swap works on both.

What is the telstra build? Is that the name of the stock motorola ROM that came with the device? Also I'm guessing SD swap is just a way have the phone treat the SD as internal memory?

Telstra is the Australian firmware, I believe. If you want to port CM, you need to pull from their source. The DST ROM is a stock Moto ROM that's built by the Moto software team. You can't really take that and change it into a CM port, but you can make your own build environment and start building CM.

Telstra is a carrier for the xt905. There are builds posted in our dev section. Any telstra rom is encrypted & if flashed w/ Rsd or Fastboot will brick an xt907.
Very difficult. Edit impossible.

Alright thanks for the info. I was just doing some reading on the Linux Kernel. Since I am stuck with the stock motorola kernel, but this implements all the things I need to make the upper level, platform independent sys calls and other api's, there shouldn't be a need to build a special kernel for a cyanogenmod port, correct? If i port the higher level things everything that is implemented in cyanogenmod should work... am I getting this right? I'm trying to figure out what the OS kernel requirements are.
For the Galaxy S4 SCH-R970, All i've seen so far is a CyanFox rom and a Pacman rom. I seem to be having a difficult time finding roms for my particular model. Does anyone know any other ones?
Here are the links for the two i've found:

***galaxys4root.com/t-mobile-galaxy-s4-roms/pacman-rom-for-galaxy-s4-aokpcm10-2paranoidandroid-all-in-one/***
I am currently using Liquid Smooth. I found it on true-android. You can find complete tips there for installation as well.
http://true-android.blogspot.com/2014/02/android-442-kitkat-liquidsmooth-rom-for_2522.html
It is a interesting site as it list at least 3 other roms you could try on each installation page. I bet there are 7 total. If I get time I will see if I can get a full list of links in here sometime.
---------- Post added at 09:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 AM ----------
I am also starting to believe that our R970 is going to be treated as similar hardware as future roms come out. Here is a post from the Cyanogen site essentially stating that all the hardware is being merged.
Soon after the release of CM 11 M3, all Qualcomm-based variants of this device were merged into a single build: jflte. The device information pages for the individual variants still exist so that you can reference any device-specific unlock instructions, download recoveries, or would like to build, for example, CM 10.2: jflteatt, jfltecan, jfltecri, jfltecsp, jfltespr, jfltetmo, jflteusc, jfltevzw, jfltexx.
---------- Post added at 09:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 AM ----------
It is all about what you type in the search box... then read carefully. =)
I typed jflte and got a few roms. One said it was AT&T specific. The other that I looked at was this one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2659380
It states that it does work on our device. I think the key is to search jflte or jflteusc. The latter will probably find roms that are just for the US Cellular version.
Here is another one worth checking out. It is called GummyRom.

Glad to help. I have finally settled on a rom. I just installed Pac-Man for 4.4.2.
Only used it for a day, but the main feature I wanted was easy to get at, so I am digging it right now. I needed to only have the power button wake the device. The menu button was always getting bumped when I had the phone in my pocket, so being able to make it now wake the phone was awesome.
Rom is fast, but really what one is not the first day you install it... I will keep fiddling.
Need to find out if I can get into diag mode in this rom. I manually program the phone for page plus, so I keep having to bounce back to stock it seems to get my flash all back in working order...
Have a good one.
Mike
I created a list of all the roms on my diigo bookmarking page. If there is one I have missed, let me know.

Hi I was just given this tablet. It's a galaxy tab 2 10.1. so it's model number is gt-p5113. The android version is 4.2.2 build number jdq29.p5113ueucmk3
It was hardly ever used by the previous owner. When I charged it up and booted it up it was very very laggy. Of couse I did a factory reset fist thing. I went through and disabled all the useless apps on it. And it seems to be better.
I would.like to know if this tablet can be unlocked and install a clean version of Android on it. AOSP is what I would like to do with this. So is that possible? I have been using nexus and pixel for so long it's hard to remember all the stuff involved with doing all this. I would.like to get a newer version of Android on it. It doesn't have to be android 10 just a stable beer version. Is odin still the way to go with samsung? I do have android debug software on my PC so my pc should be good to go just need to install samsung drivers.
The main purpose of this tab is going to be for vision chats. I am moving so I want to be able.to see my nephew.
I. Not a rookie at flashing and modding but it has been a long time so if someone can give me a good place to start and there experienced with this tablet I would greatly appreciate it. If I can't put AOSP on then I will.jist disable as.much as I can and install pixel.launcher and all that and go that route. Just let me know what you pros think I'm open to whatever you guys have to say

thank you for the suggestion. I was able to get 4.4.4 running completely aosp. Very nice and clean build. However I cant figure out root and I can't get anything higher than 4.4.4 going. It installs 6.0 but it won't boot. Most of the links in the galaxy tab form are not valid because this is so old. Is the file system different? How can i get 6 or 7 on this tablet? I can't even find stock files from Samsung to flash with Odin anymore. Do you have any valid linksorfilesfor this device? Or any advice on where to look? And again thank you for your help.

Thank you again I appreciate it. I did wipe everything I even tried to redownload 6.0. The only thing I can think of is I am trying to install from the external sd card. Maybe I should try to put it on the internal sd card. But 4.4.4 works fine from the external card so I don't know. and oddly 4.4.4 only works with the pico gapps all other gapps make it not boot weird right? I have never come across that before. I never really had much luck modding tablets. And its been a long time since I did anything other than pixel/nexus. I am definitely a more pure android fanboy. anyway thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
edit: Ah I feel like an idiot. I was using an older version of twrp i found a newer version thank to you. 6.0 booted with no problems!!!!
