This guy is on the AT&T model, and I don't think CF works.
Anyway, this is the wrong sub-forum to find out...

[Q] Known good MF3 root and recovery?

I am reading a lot of folks who are having issues with the Samsung Galaxy S4 AT&T MF3 build and I don't want to become one! Can some users that has been using "known good" methods for a bit confirm what root method and recovery you are using, please?
Thank you, Moniker

Search for the exFAT card reader method its very easy for root.some people are also using kango root exploit as well
Search Safestrap for its making flashing ROMs safe and easy for most.
That's the only options available for our ATT I337 S4

Is there a compatible official firmware (odin flashable) that I can revert to, not finding any for the MF3.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
you can root on mf3. there are guides in general i think. you can not unlock your bootloader though, only the pre mf3 gs4s can.
It is kingo root. It is easier than the exFAT method.
There is no Odin for MF3. Look for Safestrap.

Yeah kingo is more noob friendly, run program > hit root (pushes supersu) > enjoy :3
Hope I was no imposition.

So I can't return to stock and reset the flash counter if I needed to!?! I am only familiar with flashing Samsung devices with the official firmware via Odin and using triangle away to achieve that...

What is Knox and do i need it?

Hi there! I recently got my Note 3 and i want to root it! I'm always been rooting my devices. But i've never had a Samsung before.. and i read about Triangle Flasher, Odin and the new thing Knox? I want to root my Note 3, what disadvantages do i get by that? It's a European SM-N9005! How can i root it in a safe way? Do i need Knox? And what happens if i trigger the knox limit and the triangle flasher limit?

If you trigger knox, your warranty is void. Nothing else happens. The warranty can't be recovered by unrooting your device again. Therefore it is important to keep Knox untriggered, if you want to be able to use ur warranty in the future. You can root without triggering knox, but you have to be VERY careful when you root. You have to pick a root method that doesn't trigger Knox. And even then you can't install a custom rom, otherwise knox will get triggered. There is a possibility that knox will get figured out and we can do everything without worrying but no one knows for now.
I haven't heard about the triangle flasher limit yet. What is it and what does it do?

If knox is triggered? Yeah, sure. It's just about your warranty.

Chainfire said something about that samsung knox firmware will be unavalable to update.. but knox is in every update?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
And warranty depends on carrier and retailer? like hardware damage! And then knox won't be a problem

While it has disabled OTA, it doesn't mean you can't flash the newest software. You will always be able to download the latest firmware and flash it.

Have some patience young grasshopper. I'm willing to bet you warranty is more important than your immediate itch to get Kit Kat.
Simply getting Kit Kat will not improve your life in any sense, whether it be family, work or school.

Works great, but, if I update my firmware, to let's say kit kat, does my unlock / region unlock still remain?

Region unlock is different. I'm not sure if it would work but I wouldn't even try because there isn't a root capability for kk yet.
