Open camera when holding a volume button - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any app/mod that can open the camera app just by holding down a volume key such as the Xperia devices can? (The xperia devices actually use a dedicated camera button for this but obviously we don't have one)
It would be pretty handy for opening the camera even faster or when it's underwater.

You can always go to power menu and screenshot from there though it's really "clunky" (my vocabulary sucks)

Settings-system-power menu. From there you can enable screenshots from long pressing the power button and tapping screenshot.

the proper way to do it is to hold down the power and the up volume, or down, idk, and it will take a screenshot, it has to be pretty good timing though or youll turn your volume up or turn off the screen.

Not able to screenshot

I haven't been able to take a screen shot. Is it still power and volume down on 4.2.2?

hold in the power button and the home button. You can also swipe from left to right or right to left with the side of your hand which works.
Thanks for that!

Make home button into a camera button?

Hi! Im getting my galaxy s4 this week. Im a fan of on screen buttons. I know there are ways to disable the buttons and enable on screen controls. But I also love having a camera button and I think that the home button would be perfect for that. Is this possible? Thank you very much in advance for any answers/help.

How would you then leave the app?
Far better solution would be to have volume key or power key the camera button.

[Q] POWER BUTTON Camera Shutter

Hey guys. I know that CM and CM-Based Roms have the ability to use power button as Camera Shutter. My question is: is it possible to have power button as Camera Shutter on Samsung-Based Roms? It is the feature i miss the most, from CM.
Thanks
No. But you can use the volume button as the shutter. It's in the settings of stock Samsung camera.

Power Button

My power button has recently become sticky. It takes a lot more force to use it then it does my volume buttons. I tested the wife's note 3 and hers feels like mine used to. Anyone else had this happen?
