Hello
My phone: LG E400
rom: SDmerge+ miniCM
My problem is that the GPS isn't turning on. GPS status app shows 'GPS stopped'. This happens if I have turned off the GPS and some time later if I turn it on, nothing happens. Only fix is to reboot the phone.
I tried GPS patch for CM9, no help.

Does anyone have problems with CM7's GPS problem. Everytime I go on Google Maps the GPS wont activate or even attempt to find my location. What gives?
1. Download and install GPS Status.
2. Run GPS Status. Are no satellites being dectected? If so...
3. Menu >> Tools >> Manage A-GPS state >> Reset
4. Reboot immediately.
Delete me now end it all
were you ever able to fix it? i have the same issue and have tryed everything and still cant get it to work
GPS is really finicky on gingerbread. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Even with the gps status app, you can't just up and use google maps. Its like this whole process of clearing the GPS, restarting your phone, and hoping it'll lock onto a satellite. Whereas with froyo, GPS always worked. I don't know why there's such a difference, but it sucks.

I have had the same flaky behavior with GPS.
I've noticed Maps & & Waze don't always enable the GPS.
What I do is pull down the power widget and toggle GPS off then on.
Then it starts searching for satellites.

Hi all
When I open an app in which I need GPS, e.g. maps I have a problem in that if the GPS doesn't find my location and I close the app and turn GPS off (using notification toggles) it doesn't actually stop GPS. The GPS stays on and uses up battery. The only way to turn it off again is to go back into the app, find a GPS signal, close the app and then turn GPS off. This is a problem as I have been using Tasker to turn GPS on when I open specific apps and turn it off again when I close the app. However when inside with no GPS signal the GPS never switches off.
Has anyone else noticed this or can offer a solution? I'm using Franco kernel r53 on stock ROM
Thanks in advance
Anyone?
Unfortunately this is a problem with the stock ROM. When it happens to me I need to get GPS lock or restart.

Hi guys,
I have a problem with the GPS that I don't think is unique to the GS4 only ... cause I had it on my S2LTE in the past, and my wife's Note 2 also has the same problem.
Basically, I can turn on GPS no problem, but after turning it on, it will not turn off even though the GPS icon is turned off from the notification bar, and the GPS sign also disappears from the main bar. Checking on the battery stat shows GPS remains all along.
This can only be fixed by a reset, but the next time I turn GPS on, once again I need to reset the phone to turn it off.
Anyone knows how to fix this? I already have location services turned off. This doesn't seem to be located to google services at all, instead it seems to be a Samsung thing that doesn't turn GPS off.
This only seems to happen after upgrade to 4.3 as well.
Thanks in advance!
Hi everybody,
My device is i9505 and since near two months I'm having connection problems with my internal GPS. It can detect my position only when I use GPS Fix and the screen is turned off, and when I turn it on, inmediately my phone loses signal.
This started when I was using stock Kitkat ROM, and now I'm using CM12 but the problem still appears.
Is it software or hardware problem?
