Cannot upgrade to 4.3

Hey guys... I am a s4 user.. and I want to update my firmware from 4.2.2 to 4.3 but when I check to update they said ... 4.2.2 was the latest uodate ... so how ? How to update my s4 from 4.2.2 to 4.3 please help

Its weird KIES dont detect new update to the latest android 4.3. Anyway u can use ODIN but tc in void ur warranty :highfive:. If u need more INFO take a look this forum harder.

Maybe the 4.3 update is not available in your region yet..

Check your baseband and look for the 4.3 firmware for your region in the sammobile.com website. Download it and flash through ODIN.

As long you keep your phone with the Official Sammy ROMs no issues with warrany or knox being fired.

if you need root and latest 4.3 stock rom you can flash this rom with odin and knoxfree : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824

Hello, Samsung started rolling out Kitkat 4.4.2 via kies for devices in United Arabs Emirates/Iraq.
from PDA:NA1 / PHONE:NA3 / CSC:NA1 (XSG)
to PDA:ND4 / PHONE:ND3 / CSC:ND3 (XSG)
but the OTA updates says: the software update service is not available. Maximum number of rool-out updates has been exceeded. try later or update your device using Samsung kies!

FFS Samsung, what about the rest of Europe, you morons?

I'm getting the same message when I try the OTA update??

However, most of them got the ND4, and if Europe (NEE) get a ND3 update I would not run this as France NE1 is a newer and better build.
So hopefully NEE will come soon with a newer build than ND3 or ND4.

I want to update from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 and my phone is rooted so i have to download the new firmware manually
what I want to know is when I want to download the new fimware does the PDA & CSC have to be the same that I have on my phone currently or does the Country/Carrier is the only thing that has to be the same ?

AP:N9005XXUBMJ1
CP:N9005XXUBMI6
CSC:N9005OXXBMJ1
I want to update to 4.4.2 Kitkat, but I'm not sure which firmware to download on sammobile site.
How do I check what country my firmware is from?
The firmware doesn't have any carrier branded stuff which I would like to keep.

Install 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' app and you will get all info you need.
- To check what country your firmware is from: under the CSC INFO section.
- To get the right firmware to download on sammobile site: enter the Menu --> Firmware Browser...

Thanks. I just realised that I'm running Australia (which is where I'm from) XSA software. latest version is 4.3.... is it worth using a different countries firmware?

I have root currently and my KNOX is 0x0 and I'd like to keep it that way.. I want to have 4.4.2 unbranded with root.
Any recommendation on which version I should download? and instructions for root?
does KINGO android root trip the KNOX counter?

For future OTA updates and matching CSC you should look for latest ROM for your country :good:

Anyway I can't update it only through kies pc... So the remain question .
If don't have the same CSC or I will not flash the firmware from my country will be any problems?
