S-Health broken (solved) - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If S-Health is totally broken and you can't launch it because the app is crashing every time.
Here is what you can do :
go to: Application manager > all
Uninstall S-Health & HealthService updates and clear data.
You will have them back to factory default.
Update them again with your Samsung account.
If your using Galaxy Gear Fit manager... maybe you should uninstall it too
You should now be able to run S-Health

I have this problem. But after update to new version and restart phone shealth crash ;-( work only old version.

Please already tried looking in various places and couldn't find anything to help me.
Got the Galaxy S5, before I wore only the S3, my problem with the S5 is that I can't update the S-Health, when I do a message pops up saying you must also update the Health Service, when I do this the S-Health crashes.
Just after returning all factory settings S-Health back to work without the update.
Use the Gear Fit and when using S3 with Fitness with Gear there was this problem, could show the data in the pedometer, exercise and heartbeats without problems.
Can someone help me? SM-G900M stok version 4.4.2

Same here, S Health before the update works fine however after updating S Health is forces a Health Service update as well. After updating both S Health stops working. I have to keep the old version for it to work

Same here. The upgrades FCs the new version. If anybody finds a real solution to it please post here. Stock rom with stock kernel.

Yup same for me too, stock ROM and kernel. Only the old version works.

Hi all,
I ran into this issue on my S4 (AT&T i337) when I updated my ROM. In my case it was a result of a dirty flash. The xposed framework was not installed on my phone after the flash, but Wanam was attempting to run. I reinstalled the framework, rebooted and the problem is now gone!
Hopefully this helps someone out.

[Q] Air gesture problem

Hey Guys,
I'm an owner of a Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 rooted, my problem is that air gesture and air view (using hand) stop working after some time of usage, and then I should reboot to make them work again, really strange, I used the command *0*# to see if the sensor is working and it was working.
Anyone has any idea to fix it?
Thanks

Are you using the stock firmware?
It may be due to software issue.

I'm not sure if some apps may interfere with the system service. That may cause the problem.
You can try one of the following:
- Uninstall some apps that you have installed recently, or that you suspect.
- Factory reset.
- Update to the newer firmware for your device.

I think it's a root app that is causing this but I have so many and I can't uninstall them because I won't be able to know which app is behind this + it takes many hours for air gesture to stop working so I guess I'll have to wait for the 4.4.4 update and see if anything would change.

Note 3 SM-N9005 Google play services problem

I just bought the Note 3 SM-N9005 and i have problem with the google services. My apps want me to update google services but when i open the app on Play Store it shows that my device isn't supported by this version of the app and I can't update it! I don't have the "Uninstall updates" button in app settings.I'm on stock android 5.0.Any ideas?
Thanks in advance !
Is this a brand new phone??
I have a similar problem since yesterday. Until now, everything was fine (for 3 years). Yesterday I began to get " google play services has stopped". Continuously.
I tried a lot of things ( wipe cache, remove updates, etc) until I finally went for a factory reset.
Everything was fine. Until I wanted to use my Google apps. No synch, no GPS positioning, etc. The phone wants me to upgrade my Google services app. But on the pay store, my device is said to be incompatible.
I called google support : no solution.
I downloaded an official app with latest version for my phone and android version. Back to the continously popped up messages "google play services had stopped". Had to down grade to former version.
Currently I am stuck.
If anyone had an idea. ..

Yes it is brand new.
It was with US ROM and I flashed my countrys ROM to see if that works but nothing has changed...
I downloaded the latest play services apk from another website and installed it on my device. It seems to be working perfectly now but whenever a new update comes out i will be prompted to update it again and I will have to wait untill the new update comes on 3rd party website so I can download it from there.Even when i updated it manually,in Play Store it still says that my device is not compatible with this version of the app...Any ideas ?
P.S : I've tried clearing both play store and play services caches and uninstalling updates but that won't fix it.Play store still shows the same thing.
The Note 3 came with 7.1 version on play services, now I updated it to 9.2.25 and still the same result...

So lets hope they fix it sooner, because it limits almost my whole phone...Even Youtube and Whatsapp are not usable...
You can always try;
- reset app preferences
- disable Play Store & restore to factory version.
- Clear data & cache of Google Play Services & Framework
- If rooted, flash updated gapps.

Or you can try this if rooted and have custom recovery...like TWRP 2.8.7.0. Install Phronesis Rom Version 1.2 and enjoy the sweet Marshmallow 6.0.1. Phone model SM-N9005.

Yes it does. The same IMEI is displayed on box, phone(dialing *#06#) and under the battery I've checked it online and that IMEI belongs to the same Note 3 device.
Model number in download mode is correct? If yes, I am at a loss as to why this is happening.
This is different issue but maybe you could try.
Yesterday my phone had connection issue to playstore. It tells me no internet connection. Cleared cache and data for playstore and google play service, flashed newer playstore version but in no avail.
Remove my google account and re-register, problem solved.

Possible Play store problem as i have seen this twice in the last few days .
same problem
I have two Note3 and can't install the latest Google Play Service. Playstore-Screenshot:
moja.ninja/playstore.jpg
Both have the latest samsung firmware (unrooted).
One of them I reset yesterday -> no change. The current version of the play service is too old und some apps don't work.
On the other device I have not the latest version, but all apps are running.
Any solution?
thanks
The same problem
I did a factory reset yesterday and after that I couldn't update Google Services App and since every other Google App goes through this Google Services, this renders my phone half-useless...

Can't use app S health after flash Offical ROM Android 7.0

App Alet popup
---------------------------------------------------
"Your device has been compromised
Because of a new security policy
intruduced in version 5.0 knox is not
available on compromised devices."
---------------------------------------------------
I have same problem, cannot use my Gear S3 now, funny is that S health works at non Samsung rooted devices :/
Some say to uninstall s health and install a previous version.. to open it and set it up and then to update the app
Check your knox. Its probably 0x1.
Knox is tripped ofc after root, i tried to unistall app but i cannot get it unistall, tried app from play store and link2sd to unistall it but it still there so if i try to flash older version i get error saying that file is corrupted.
Flashing official ROM using Odin does not trigger Knox (at least it shouldn't). I have the same problem after flashing official 7.0 ROM and my Knox Counter is NOT triggered (it is 0x0000).
I cannot uninstall or downgrade S Health since it's a "default app".
Any workarounds?

If knox is triggered then:
- make a root
- remove S health with Titanium Backup
- install older version S health before version 5
- launch app, sync account and then update to new version of S health
Working, tested one hour ago, i had this problem after flashing and rooting 7.0 stock rom.

Hi
I've just come across this problem upgrading to Nougat today. I'd like to try your suggestion but how do I find an older version of S Health like you suggest?
TIA
Just found 4.8.1. I'll give it a go.

I had to try three versions. Two kept saying they were corrupt when trying to install. I managed to install the third but, when I try to sync, I keep being told the server is temporarily offline. I suppose that may be true but I doubt it.
And now whenever I try to open the app, it freezes and the only way to open it is to clear the data in the app settings.
So I think it's back to Marshmallow for me for now. I need S Health for my Gear S3.

I tried going back to Marshmallow but after I boot the Galaxy S7 it asks for a code. I have no idea what to do next because no code seems to work.

Have you checked if it's tripped or are you just guessing? Are you on your phones official firmware or did you flash different firmware in Odin?
I think it's not compatible with N.
I flashed MM after trying RR, and then it worked just fine. Strange though, Samsung should be able to get their apps working.

How to remove S health app?

Hi, does anyknow now how to remove S Health app?
I did yesterday update on 7.0 then i did root and S Health app is not working because knox is tripped. I found that using older version and then update to new one should be working. But i cannot install older version because S health still remains in system.
Tried to remove both app and service by System app remover and Link2SD app to remove S health but it keeps restoring it self.
Can anyone help me with this? I have Gear S3 frontier now that is a half useless without S Healht. Funny fact that on my rooted LG G5 is S health working so anti root protection is only for Samsung devices...what a premium feature :cyclops:
if u use custom 7.0 rom it will work just fine but thats up to u.
