Hi All,
I have newly signed up to the forum to ask for any help if possible. My TN7 (android 4.4.2) has seemingly developed a random fault in which the WiFi constantly says turning on WiFi... but never actually turns on and the option to turn it off is always greyed out so it is totally unresponsive. Also if I attempt to turn on Bluetooth after a few seconds an error message appears informing me that the Bluetooth has stopped working. If anyone could help me out I would be extremely grateful.
I am very much an android newb so any solutions might have to be a step by step to help me follow.
I have managed to unlock the Bootloader and have the latest TN7 Super Tool 2.2 from Tomsgt if that in someway helps at all.
Thanks alot,
Dave.
Hey Dave, I had a lot of problems like that after updating too. What helped me, simply enough, was a factory reset. The tn7, among other devices, keeps your data after updates, which often causes issues. If that doesn't work then maybe a more experienced user can help you.

I had no luck with a factory reset unfortunately, thanks for your help though.

I've had mine for a day now, everything is updated. My bluetooth seems to be working, but I'm having the same issue with my wifi. I've tried shutting it down, holding the power button until it powers down, even tried shutting it down in airplane mode. Still can't get it to come on.
I'd love some help.
Thanks

hello guys
i've a htc wilfire with the nightly #220 and the phone is freezing in standby mode. i've to do a hard reset through the buttons or taking of the battery, that is very annoying, also it seems that the phone its still working, because you can dial to my phone, but i cant receive anything, because the phone doesn't turn on. I've Google on xda and cyanogem, i've found similar problems but with different solutions, One says that is the sdcard, and other says that is from the clockworkmod, I've to flash to 3x one, due to a know issue, i've cloworkmod 5.0 by flash, and 4.0.1...came with revolutionary lol.
well i need some advice here. pls help me
thanks for the the consideration taken.
Hi all,
Let me preface this by saying I am trying to avoid a factory reset if possible. I have had a hard time getting my phone to where it is now, with many software glitches and boot loops along the way, and I'd like to avoid going down that road again, if possible.
I have recently lost all vibration on my S4. It doesn't even vibrate during startup/shut down loops. I am rooted but running a stock ROM. In order to see if this is a hardware problem, I tried *#7353# and clicked "Vibration" and nothing happens.
My question is this: is this text not working definitive evidence that the issue is hardware-related? Many forum posts suggest a factory reset to resolve vibration issues, but like I said I'd prefer to avoid this. Is there any chance my vibration issue is still a software problem or can I confirm from the test mode not working that it is definitely hardware?
Thanks.

The saying goes, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and quacks like one, usually..it's a duck, in my time repairing the S4, I've had vibration motors fail. If it's not even vibrating at boot-up then it's definitely hardware. Only instance I'd say it were software is if it vibrated at boot, but wouldn't anywhere else in the system. It's a very easy repair, and inexpensive to replace. Also if you've rooted, do you have a custom recovery installed? If so backup the current rom/stock and restore/flash a new rom to see if it remedies the issue, otherwise hardware hands down! Hope this helps!
Hi everyone!
So I just had this problem after I woke up yesterday. I googled a lot but only found similiar problems.
Let me tell you what happened chronologically:
After turning the phone on in the morning it started updating apps as if I was doing a firmware update: "updating apps 1 of 135" etc. Note that my nexus was already running on 5.1.1 and had the latest updates installed.
Now it randomly freezes the screen on whatever screen it was before it happens and it won't respond to any touch input. This can also happen when not using the phone, then it will freeze at the lockscreen (the time freezes with it so sometimes i can see at what time it froze). Also, it loses connection with Wi-Fi as i'm using Whatsapp Desktop when i'm on my laptop and it mentions me that my phone is not connected.
The only thing that "fixes" (temporarily) it is a reboot. Now sometimes, on the lockscreen, i can just hold the power button and the pop-up comes in to turn the phone of, which i can somehow just tap on an it responds by turning the phone off. But sometimes (less frequent than the latter mentioned) the pop-up doesn't come in and holding the power button for a few secs will do the trick.
I hope I informed you all enough and my end question is: does any of you know what this is? How i can fix it or what i can do to prevent it or anything as I am hopeless. (my G3 is up for reparation so this is my sisters old phone, i had a nexus 4 myself for 2 years before the G3).
Thanks in advance!!
The best way to test it is by reformat the OS.
I positively think that it will solve the problem.
Since the phone is no longer under warranty, I guess there is no harm to install custom rom on it. They are fast and stable too.
Hope this help. Good luck.

EXACT thing happened to me too. Backup your data and hard reset from recovery. This fixed it for me
Same problem here bro, but neither custom roms or factory reset helps.... Is there anyone who has successfully solved the problem ?

Then it's time to change the screen or phone. Looks like it is a hardware issue.

I agree, your screen needs to be replaced.
Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place but I experience random reboots sometimes, usually when the phone is in my pocket. I don't feel the phone vibrate when it happens, so I gather it isn't me accidentally turning the phone off.
I've taken "interactive" bug reports from the developer options menu, but I don't know what to look for in the logs. Also, when I try to take a full bug report, I can't share the results by tapping the report-done notification; the notification disappears and I am not presented with any option to share the report.
Motorola support couldn't help me because they insisted that I use safe mode and reproduce the problem, but of course I don't know exactly what triggers this to happen. I also thought there must be some sort of diagnosis I could do other than factory reset.
Thanks in advance.
PS This is the stock firmware, and I've not installed any custom recovery. I am using the latest OTA from Verizon.
Hey! I'm sorry if this is too late, but my gf's phone had the same problem.
It turned out that it was a motherboard issue, and the phone had to be replaced.
Hope it still can help you.
Hello anyuferrari,
You are not too late, and I thank you for your advice. Is there some diagnostic test I can run to see if it's a motherboard problem?
Thanks.
I got 2 LG G2 d800 and both started not connecting to wifi, it gets stuck on "turning on wifi", both happened on the same day so I don't think its a hardware problem probably an update of Google services, anyone has the same problem and maybe a solution?

I am experiencing the same problem since yesterday. It just says Turning Wi-Fi on... and it never turns on. It happened when I had my phone charging and noticed a facebook messenger update. The wifi has turned on and worked for a while (especially after some reboots) but then it got back to doing the same thing again. I have reset my phone but it doesn't let me do a hard reset using the power and volume down keys.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
sorry to say, but its broken (99%). i had the same problem. but my luck it was i guarantee time (short before end)

I have made it work for a few hours, somehow. I finally managed to figure out how to factory reset it. I did it a few times until the wifi was working completely.
I started downloading apps and it worked perfectly. Then I decided to try a reboot and the wifi when out again. The difference is that now I have a MAC address and before I didn't. It's still stuck but there's some progress, I guess.
I thought about rooting my phone, but I'm scared of ending up with a brink since I have never done it before.
Me too with my g2:
About 3 weeks that my wifi, hot spot & the stock radio app aren't working like they used to for 4 years!
Did factory reset but it didnt helped
