I tried to use it on phone calls and worked perfectly. But when i tried to record on whatsapp, it doesn't work.
Is there something that i could do?

Hi everybody,
Well i have got my htc HD2 for a while now , got sick of windows mobile so i went and put Cyanogenmod on it.
All worked well , but after a week or 2 people can't hear me when i call them , nor when they call me. I can hear them just fine.
Messaging also worked fine on android , no problems.
So i went to install windows phone 7 when it came out for the HD2 ,same story ; everything works fine except for the outgoing sound in a call.
I tried the latest version of the radio , and several others , tried to reinstall the OS mutltiple times .
I even checked my sim card in an other phone , in that phone , it does work fine.
What can i do ? it's really annoying not to be able to call properly.

does sound work when you record voice recorder? or video? could the mic hole be full of pocket goo?
This happens to me also. No sound until maybe 5 seconds into the call it starts to work again.

The mic works fine , it does record sound in video mode ,etc.
It only happens in a call.
small kick , any ideas ?

No matter which ROM I would try, no one can hear me, until I turn on loudspeaker mode in calls. Recording audio with 3rd party apps works flawlessly, this problem only occurs in calls. I'm on cm 14 now.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the Zenfone 3 and video calls on Whatsapp.
if I do a video call, the caller hears my voice, but I do not feel anything .. If he calls it does work everything correctly .. I tried reinstalling the app and control all volumes but nothing did.
Does anyone have the same problem?

I have a strange issue with microphone.. when i would like to make a video call then the other person cant hear me.
Microphone is working well in normal call, normal internet call, call recording, video recording, voice message.
If i talk on messenger by normal call and during the calling i turn on the camera then the other person cant hear me more...
If i use headphone then the other person can hear me in videocall
What i tried:
Reboot, factory reset, deep wipe, stock and custom rom
But no one helped..
Any idea?

Dear all.
After the Update to OOS 10 I got some problems with Voice Messaging in WhatsApp.
I can hear people's voice messages without a problem.
I can record and send voice messages, but they are completely silent.
Voice Calls via WhatsApp are not working too, people can't hear me.
I can record and send Videos via WhatsApp, sound is working.
I already have deleted Cache and Data, uninstalled, reinstalled WhatsApp, problem still exists.
Has anybody experienced that and has a solution?

Have you give whatsapp permission to use microphone?
Yes, WhatsApp has permissions for the Microphone.
I even disabled and enabled them again, no change.
I think it's definitely a software problem especially with WhatsApp, because the mic works fine with other apps
Update:
Plugged in my headset, it's totally working fine with the headset, so something is "blocking" my microphone when trying to record with WA

I installed WhatsApp Business, solved the problem, works fine with it.
