Hey everyone
Just wondering why my mobile data app would be running on my nexus 7 32 GB Wi-Fi model. Is there an app that is causing it to turn on?
Please help me understand
Tia

Do you mean mobile data, or Wi-Fi?

Mobile data. It has a phone as an icon

Where are you seeing this icon? The mobile data notification is not a phone icon. A screenshot would help.
Here is a screen ****

It looks to me like your screen shot is of the 'All' apps, not 'Running' apps. Or is this a list from a Task Killer (boo!)? If it is not using memory or cpu it is not running, so there is no need to worry about it. It is probably in the os because there are 3g versions of the N7.

Hi,
I'm wondering why my BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) even though it's been assigned as system app, it gets killed by the system?
My understanding is if the app has benn assigned as system app, it won't get killed.
My phone is i9500 running Omega Rom 14.2.
Thanks.

Still running these services after closing all active apps, it shows that it Used 480 mb out of 800 mb.
What else shall i hibernate? Isnt it wise to use the 1gb ram, thats what ram is for but it will effect a bit ur battery life.
Thanks

Culprit of battery on our note is samsung.android.strokesearch
Force stop it if you are not rooted from going in th e battery stats option..
Or freeze it using titanium backup..if you are rooted...
You will definitely get 20% better battery life....as it was consuming 32%battery on my note 10.1 2014..
However dont kno what this process is related to...
It did not affected my s pen experience any way...

how did you find out what was draining your battery so much? Just the battery panel in settings or third party app?
Battery panel..and one thing more its better to freeze this...bcoz I have seen that its starts itself up automatically...so it pain in ass
Force closing it again and again...

Or go to Settings and disable Pen Detection. That way if the S-pen is not detached, the service will not run. Freezing the service entirely is not wise.

Got it ...frends leaving our s pen outside its socket..makes our tablet run this app even if s pen detection is disabled...
It means it eats battery...
So keep s pen back when not using it...

interesting I will try
I just purchased my s5 a week back. From the last 2-3 days i charge my battery to 90-100% at night and sleeep and when i wake up it 10-15%. I turn off everything: wifi, data, bluetooth, gps, sync, nfc, etc.
Any solutions?

Install 'BetterBatteryStats' and you'll specifically be able to see what's keeping your phone from sleeping/what's using all that battery.
