In Jelly Bean I noticed there were two different widgets for google search, one transparent and another one translucent with white background, just like the Google stock one. Now in KK the translucent one has disappeared and it is the one I like and I was wondering if there is any way to make it appear again. It is still there because I have seen it in Widgets with another launcher, but with LG's it is not showing. Any clue? Thanks

Upgraded to ICS yesterday, so far ok.. nothing amazing. But glad to have it. Is it not possible to make folders by dropping one App on top of another like on the Nexus??
thanks, and sorry if this was asked.. I checked, didn't see.
That's why touchwiz sucks

Oddly enough, I just tried Apex... but every widget I try adding, I get a message at the bottom saying "there's no more room on this homepage".. even when theres nothing else there! Any suggestions?
Maybe the widgets are too big for the screen you are not running any dpi change on it right? Also you can't add widgets ala ics way unless you are rooted

Thanks.. did that. That helped get some widgets on the screen, but there's still so many, like the digital clock, or power saving widget, for example that just won't fit on the screen.. can't seem to figure out how to get them to fit!! any other suggestions?? thanks!
Happened to me too when I upgraded my Note to ICS yesterday. I didn't touch any of the TW screens but installed and used Apex immediately. When I tried to add e.g. shortcuts to my XDA favorites it came up with the same error. I then checked with TW and there were the shortcuts, on screen 7 (where was some space). I cleaned up TW, i.e. removed all the widgets, and now it works on both launchers. Very strange indeed...

Yeah it wont for me either. Although the widget would resize once in the 5 column but it still hovers above as if it is default 4...so a launchrr issue if it defaulted to 5 for the note it would be fine.

What have you done to your Moto X?
MIne, after Smart Launcher, Root, Xposed/GravityBox

How Did you get the sound search widget?
Edit: never mind I didn't realize the app was in the play store. It can preinstalled on my nexus 7 so I thought it was a nexus app.
Simple Yet satisfying..
Imprinted directly to your mind via a Moto X
Simple and functional.
It works for me, nothing special
Apex launcher Pro
Digital clock widget
Google Keep, Calendar, Play(music)
speed dials folder
and weather
Updated mine
I like the minimalist look a lot. I think I'm gonna stick with this for a while.
Looks great coming from the active notifications. And I'm all about consistency.
I hae gestures set up for Google Now, App Drawer, Quick Settings Bar, Flashlight and a few others. Plus the PIE controls, everything is pretty quick and easy.
Satisfied.
Pretty basic, I know. I got tired of changing my setup every couple days because I wanted it *just so*, so I put a pretty monochrome wallpaper on it and picked an icon pack that I liked a lot. I used Nova Launcher + Missed It for unread counts on certain icons too.
[EDIT] Finally found the attachment button.
Mine is very simple, yet elegant I think:
Using Zeam launcher....
Well, not much to tell about this thread. The title says it all.
Post your phone's Homescreens and do mention the icons, launcher etc. used.
Be nice to everyone and have fun
I will get my xiao mi 5 soon!
I genuinely do like MIUI but got a little bored of the same look after being with Xiaomi now for a year (had a Mi Note previously
Using Nova launcher as I like the smaller icons. Weather time line widget and switch pro widget as I find it easier to change settings than use the drop down menu.

i'm really enjoying the default theme and the stock icons of miui7, imho it's pretty much the sleekest and most elegant interface on android. it's clearly inspired by ios, but i find it much more appealing.

Like how it is on the home screen it's transparent but still see the buttons. I'd like to have it like that when in apps etc. Is there a way? I'm running Nova launcher if that helps. Thanks guys

Hi there,
At first the navbar buttons were hidden in the home screen but now, without changing anything they stay there. Someone in the same situation?
Thanks!
You using Nova Launcher ?
Trimis de pe al meu SM-G950F folosind Tapatalk
It happens because of the lastest Nova Launcher update (5.3)
It's not a bug but a choice from the developers
And you can change the behavior via ADB command.
What is the nav bar you're referring to?

The navigation bar is the one with home, return, app switch.
OP: This has been discussed in another thread, maybe it can answer your questions. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/nova-launcher-update-5-3-careful-read-t3629965
