Hi there,
At first the navbar buttons were hidden in the home screen but now, without changing anything they stay there. Someone in the same situation?
Thanks!
You using Nova Launcher ?
Trimis de pe al meu SM-G950F folosind Tapatalk
It happens because of the lastest Nova Launcher update (5.3)
It's not a bug but a choice from the developers
And you can change the behavior via ADB command.
What is the nav bar you're referring to?

The navigation bar is the one with home, return, app switch.
OP: This has been discussed in another thread, maybe it can answer your questions. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/nova-launcher-update-5-3-careful-read-t3629965

After upgrading to 4.4.2 I keep getting missed calls notification on my lock screen. I really want to remove this. Any ideas?

Have you tried clearing the cache?
But i don't think this is a problem. I think it's a new 4.4.2 feature that cannot be disabled. Maybe I didn't describe my problem right. When someone calls me and I don't pick up you can see the missed call in a big notification rectangle in the lock screen. This means that someone can just take your phone and see who called you even if you don't want to. I try to find any setting to disable this but it looks like it's a widget in the lock screen.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
If you can't disable it in the settings and the developer didn't include an option for that there is no way to hide it.

I guess you are right but this is crazy not being able to hide this. We should have control over our privacy.

That is one of many reasons why I am not using TouchWiz.
You think if I use another launcher it will not do that?
Edit : just tried another launcher and it still does the same thing.

I think what you have on your lockscreen is a lockcreen widget. Have you tried disabling Lockscreen widgets?
Maybe if it is a standalone widget it can be removed from the screen. Try and report back.

I have the widgets disabled. It's something to do with the system.

No I haven't. I don't think the third party lockscreens are as safe as the original ones.

Except the Wanam mod, which are the top 3 mods that you can't live without?

Does any mod allow the "pocket mode"?
That is turning on the screen when the phone is taken out from the pocket and there are new notifications.
Thank you

YouTube Adaway to remove those channel icons and annoying "next videos" on the bottom of the screen.

I am coming from Samsung devices and I really got used to seeing the stock icons with notifications on them. Are there any launchers that will do this without needing root?

Nova with the Tesla Unread plug in gives you icon notification badges.
Nova ftw! I have their paid app with gestures and other goodies...
I have used nova in the past and liked it but I don't like it on my 6p. I use the Gmd immersive app to hide my soft keys and when I use it on the stock launcher the screen becomes larger. When I use it with nova the screen stays the same size and when the soft keys hide nova just leaves a large black box instead of expanding the screen.

In your opinion Popular/Best launcher to use with this phone ?
I like Apex or Nova Launcher. Super customizable and stable. They have gestures which let you put all that screen real estate to good use.
The best for me!
The best for me is BuzzLauncher. I have been using it for 2 years already
i use Nova Launcher Prime...well worth it.
Pixel launcher
Action launcher 3. Looks and works great and has all kinds of shortcuts.

Action Launcher 3 skinned to work mostly like the pixel launcher... But with swipe from the left edge to open Google now in absence of assistant, and with double tap of the home screen to open the camera.
Nova Prime is my dd!
+1 Nova Prime. I'm going to experience the V20 as it is when I get it, perhaps for a few days. Then, time to customize!

I dont know the others but Buzz Launcher does. Also Next launcher, TSF Launcher, and Go launcher do too. (TSF is not being updated anymore, so you will probably discard it, although it is REALLY GOOD TOO)

The stock one is pretty cool, like an iPhone basically. I will probably use Nova Prime though.
Good Lock 2019 is superb from Samsung no doubt about it but in case of System - Display - Navigation bar - Navigation buttons or Full screen gestures AND One Handed Operation which is available in Good Lock...what's the use of having both why cant we disable system navigation buttons or gestures if we ONLY have to use One Handed Operation which in my opinion is super awesome!!
