it would be great to add the possibility in omnirom to hide the very annoying (for me) input method switcher from appearing in the status bar everytime I open the keyboard... please!!! :good::fingers-crossed:
thanks!

I'm awfully sorry I must be blind..:silly:
so you can close this thread too... :crying: what a shame
NB. just for your reference, it was already disabled by default, but the IME notification was appearing anyway. I had to enable the IME notification and then disable it again to really get rid of the IME notification
ah, and thanks for you work with omni, I see you often active in gerrit
Problem solved, thread closed.

So I had a ROMd Moto Atrix 2, and moved into this N4 a couple days ago. On the A2, when I pulled the drop down menu down from the top, I had the Wifi On/Off, GPS On/Off, Data On/Off, Vibrate/Ringer On/Off, Bluetooth, etc.
Is there a setting somewhere in Paranoid Android ROM that allows me to add these features?
You mean quick setting toggles

Yeah, I guess that's what it's called, but how do I get them? Paranoid Android ROM
Pull down status bar from the right side, or swipe up to the left side of pie if using expanded desktop.

Hey i was googling for my answer and this thread came up that's why i'm replying so late.
But if you can help me i'd love it.
I just installed PA and gapps.
It works fine and all but I can't get the quick pull down menu at the top to show up.
I can bring it up using pie but I really want to have the toolbar at the top too displaying battery life time and notifications.
Is there anyway to do that?
I have "quick pulldown" selected in the settings menu but i don't think it works.

Hi guys,
I know this has been a repeated threat, sorry to bring this up again but could someone explain me clearly how to fix this non-clickable install option. Heard that the latest version of PA Halo is somewhat blocking this, if so how to disable HALO? The round icon(HALO) is not there on my screen and still am not able to install. I checked all my screens but still no... I am still in the beginner's group so I apologize for my noobness .
Thanks Guys.
On what build are you? In latest it should be fixed. Go into settings -> toolbars and disable hide halo. When halo appears dubble tap and drag it to the x.

Hide HALO after activity is already unchecked only. I am on PA 3.60
I get a message of GooManager for an update PA but when i press update, nothing happens. This had been there for the past week i guess. Not able to update to the latest.
you have to temporarily disable halo in order to install sideloaded applications. you missed the second and most important part of bustem's post: double tap halo and slide it to the X. after installation you can re enable it.
if that doesn't make the trick, also disable any other overlay applications: wave launcher, floating apps etc.

Or just download the latest pa and flash it.the halo issue that disables installing apps have been fixed in latest version of 10 june.

I dont see HALO atall in the first place for me to double tap it and slide it to x. Secondly, I guess i ll flash the latest version...No other good solutions i guess... Anywayz, thanks guys!

It was a bug with earlier release.
To fix:
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Toolbars
3. Untick "Reverse HALO gestures"
4. Go to your homescreen
5. Long-press on the HALO icon and drag it to the dump (x) icon at the top of the screen
This is how you will disable HALO temporarily, which will in-turn make your Options working again.
He doesn't have halo enabled in the first place. So he can't disable it ... But I'm sure he has it figured out being that he is going to update it.

It is quite simple but has each page has different menu settings it is easily overlooked.
Toggle to the chats page. Then hit the menu button bottom left. Then settings.
Go into notifications and move down to popup notification. Check always show popup.
Notifications now show even when phone sleeps.

Very true Paul, too many pages and too many setting on Notification page.. It was exactly as you said.. I simply missed that option.. Thanks a lot :highfive:
Just a random (but important) question: why do I get Quick Settings page as my default when I pull the notification bar down? Shouldn't it be the notifications page? And how do I change it? Running OmniROM 4.4.2 Nightly (26/1/2014)
You should only have quick settings when swiping down from the upper right corner. You can change this under settings -> notification bar. If it's happening generally when swiping down i don't know. Sorry

So you have the smart pulldown enabled?

I'm running Bajarom Build 14. Is there any way to add custom Quick Settings tiles? I want to add Torch and Wifi Hotspot.
I tried using Mappz Quick Settings but I prefer not to have an additional panel, I want to use the existing Touchwiz Quick Settings and add these 2.
Thanks

They are in there, you need to reset the tiles for them to show up. I'ts stated in the OP.
