[Q] Recovery issue with most roms - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, here is the problem...
I used ioroot, flashed the proper aboot, flashed twrp 2.7.0.0, and then everything was fine on my old G2. I could flash any rom and radio i wanted with no problem. Then i accidentally killed my phone with the ZVC ota.
Fast forward a week later and i have my replacement phone... Repeat the same steps as before... And now, some roms and radios kill my recovery and leave me stuck with fastboot until i flash a new recovery from my computer.
I can flash d3rp-g2 bareback, mahdi and slimkat, but aoenflex kills it and so does any ZVA radio.
Does anyone know what's causing this?
Phone: LS980
Recovery: TWRP 2.7.0.0
Rooted: yes, ioroot.
Highest stock reached through ota: ZVA

[Q] Can't flash ROMs

I rooted and have twrp 2.6.3.2 for recovery but I am having trouble with some ROMS. I flashed clean ROM successfully but any other one I try to flash says "failed" and it says that it's a D801 ROM and so not compatible but my phone is D801 T-Mobile LG G2. Any clue what I'm doing wrong or need to change?
Bad download maybe? Are you downloading with pc or directly onto your phone?
Maybe you should update your recovery, or try cwm. I've had to switch to different Recovery's depending on the rom im wanting to flash.

Security error on lg boot logo ls980

I'm on stock rooted zv7 whenever I try flashing a zv8 Rom, I get a security error on the boot screen, it then powers off. Using twrp 2.6.3.3
I've tried flashing the zv8 radio but my phone still shows zv7.
Should I go back to stock zv7, then do the zv8 update, then root and flash??

Did you by chance fix this problem yet I have a similar error and the phone reboots automatically over and over

Unauthorized software when booting to recovery

Specs:
SGH-i337
MDL Bootloaders
Running custom GPE KitKat ROM.
Latest TWRP Recovery
Here's what happened.
Decided to try out Beanstalk kitkat. Installed fine, but ran into signal issues when I loaded up the FMLD modem. Had the same issues when switching back to MK2 modem.
before using beanstalk, decided to try out Philz touch CWM. Didn't really like it, I made a backup of my GPE ROM and went ahead and installed beanstalk then installed TWRP. Hit some issues with the ROM and decided to go back to GPE. Had to switch back to CWM to restore the GPE ROM.
Once it restored, I reinstalled TWRP. Went to boot to recovery and get the unauthorized software warning.
I can still boot into the ROM, and can boot to DL mode. I cannot boot or install TWRP. Seeing that I contact flash any Zip files I cannot even install CWM. Is there any way to fix this short of flashing back to stock MDL with Odin? I am stuck. Read for about 2 hours... Can't find any answers specific to this issue.

Try push custom recovery.img using heimdall or repack custom recovery.img to tar files .....so u able to flash it from Odin. .... Goodluck

Just a thought. Are you sure the custom recovery you are trying to install is LOKI'd?. You can try to install OUDHS CWM via terminal commands.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your issue or not, but I read that people were having issues with certain versions of PhilZ CWM and the LOKI feature. They claim part of the issue involves corrupt backups that will not re-flash properly.
Never tried it, but could you dd the recovery image, possibly twrp.
dd if=/system/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21
Do this at your own risk as I'm not that familiar with dd commands

Never had issues installing it before.
AFAIK, the recovery does not need to be loki'd the ROM does. The reason I say this is because I have never had any issues with older or newer versions of TWRP and because there are recoveries that Auto Loki a ROM that is being installed.
If it does need to be, then it should be loki'd because I am doing exactly the same thing to install it. The version is the same as before I changed to CWM.

Also... It seems that as a result of this whole debacle, nothing involving xposed is working when it did before. Is this possibly related?

[SOLVED] [Q] From the 24A back to 12B?

So here's my problem;
I'd installed the VS980 24A [ROM] from my CWM recovery. The ROM works great and I have no problem with it but unfortunately I'd forgot to make a Titanium backup of all my apps and data from my 12B stock but I did make a nano backup of it! So I'd restored my 12B nano backup but when I'd rebooted the phone it was stuck in a continuous boot loop, fortunately I was able to get back into the CWM recovery and reinstalled the 24A ROM to get my phone back up and running. From what I read I'm assuming the problem is coming from the 24A baseband, so I was wondering if there's a 12B BB file out there I could zip to boot back up to a 12B Rom or do I have go thru the whole process of reflashing back to STOCK using the KDZ or TOT process and then OTA and reroot again? Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide.
No all you have to do is find the 12b baseband and flash at the same time you are flashing the back up

Ok that's what I'd figured so my next question is where can I find that at?
I've done the 12B baseband search on the forum and I can't seem to find it?
Getting Closer
Ok after a little more research it's come to my attention that modems/radios/baseband are all apparently the same thing. So I'm downloading the 12b modems from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451426&page=33 and will update you on how it goes!
