Hi all
I have flashed Android 4.2.2 from tytung and Iron Man 3 force closes when i reach some distance.
I searched the web and someone says that is RAM problem. Before i have android 4.0.4 on sd card with haret.exe and it was working maybe lagy but it was working.
Now when i open the game it is not lagging but when i reach some distance it force closes. I tried RAM EXPANDER, SWAP FILE, RAM MANAGER PRO but nothing helps.
ANY SOLUTIONS???
have you tried setting background processes lower in developer options?
OK i will try it. i select no background apps and kill every app when user leaves it...
I found the solution
Thank you for the opinion. It wasn't working but it give me idea to check everything in developer options. I select 4xMSAA and the game was working, maybe laggy but it was working...
Anyway thank you again..

Hi All,
I got my Desire HD about 3 weeks ago and have been loving it. However I am now getting a reoccurring problem of Lag. Sometimes its minimal, some times its a large amount.
If I leave my phone on for a considerable amount of time I am finding that I always have to restart to get rid of the lag.
I never really have that many apps open, but sometimes even when playing something like doodle jump its starts to lag.
I am no expert on how phones work, but a couple of friends have iPhones and if you look in their task manager sometimes about 30 apps are left open with no real effect on the phones lag, where as the HD with a better CPU and RAM does not seem to be able to handle it. I decided to go with the Desire HD over the iPhone as i love google, but at the moment the lag is causing laughter amongst my friends who got the iPhone 4!
The only things that I ever really leave running are HTC sense, Facebook for sense (for contacts), Calendar and messaging and GMail. Surely this cannot cause such a hideous amount of lag.
When i look at running services its says "other:77MB in 4 Avail:316+155MB in 30" What does this mean?
I also have android task manager and at the top it says "Available Memory 323M" Is this right? Surely it should be pushing 764? (this is when jsut booted and everything then closed)
Also jsut a quick question, when you pull down the drop down settings bar from the home page, under your carriers names, there is a lsit of apps which you can scroll right on, what are these? Open apps? Recently opened apps?
Also, how do you stop apps starting on start up?
Also, i select kill apps on task manager and then i look 10 mins later and they are running again, why is this?
OMG!!! first thing with android 2.2 DONT! use a task killer tasks will just restart
first there DHD and many other phones have a bit of a lag bug that is caused by a rouge /INIT process to prevent this enable USB debuging in the settings for somereason this fixes it.
the list of apps below the carrier in the notifaction pane is just the recently open application the same list that you would get by pressing and holding the home button these applications are not running.
also ignore the ram thing in the task manager yes the desire has 768mb of ram however a portion of that is locked for i think the fast boot feature (because it works by storing the os and its current state into the ram for fast startup later ~130mb )
also the launcher is also taking up ram when the phone is on
ie...dont worry about it because when android needs more ram it will clear it out for other higher priority applications
but yeah dont use task killers, enable usb debugging stop going crazy over 'missing' ram
i suggest you read about how android multi tasks to you can find it over on the offical android guide website.
I have usb debugging on and I still get bad lag the odd time.

Yeah same here, happened today, quite badly too.
One guaranteed method to get rid of the lag.
PermRoot > Flash Clockwork Mod > Flash an OverClock Kernel > Overclock with SetCPU setting "Performance" as the governor.
Say goodbye to lag, it won't bother you again.
Full guides can be found in the DHD > Android Development section.
try using another launcher, i used to find sense used to be a little laggy at times on my legend but other launchers like launcher pro were fine.
also if you mean lag when typing on the htc ime keyboard disable the haptic feedback vibration for somereason they make it lag out
For me I have USB debugger on, but when I am playing a game, for example Angry Bird, initially it is smooth, but for a while, there will be a lag... Then it will return to normal... I believe its when my syncing occur that causes the lag...
Would turning off quick/fastboot give us more ram ?
The DHD has a shed load of RAM, I wouldn't imagine that leaving Fast Boot on, or turning it off would affect performance or lag directly.

Cool, I wonder how much RAM Fastboot uses ?

probably that reserved 136mb ?, actually i think if fast boot is disabled it would make no differnce i think that htc have a bit reserved for the os and sense so that all core systems are always loaded.
How do I enable USB debuging exactly? I am in the settings of The phone but can't find usb debugging :s

How much ram do you usually have free in daily use?
I'm experiencing Sense reboots when ram gets down <100Mb and it's kinda frustrating waiting the homescreens to bootup again and again.
I'm rooted and using LeeDroids HD 3.0.1 GB ROM and hes custom kernel.
Flash CM7, all of your lag and memory problems will go away :-D
I'm using stock frequency and I never see lag and memory for me doesn't go over 50% unless playing a game or such.
But to have to say goodbuy to sense which is definitely worth it.

Theres the thing that I like the Sense and don't really want to give it up but I was wondering if other Sense users had similar experiences and how did they manage those

Hi Every one! I dont know is this just me have this trouble or everybody. I was used search and found nothing about my problem.
I have some problems with srolling down in the end of menu (menu with programs) and same problem in personalisation. Ectually its not a problem but its annoying a bit... i've noticed that all desire roms (desire, z, HD) have this problem on my HD2 (TMOUS)...
Does any one had this problem? And may be there is some fix or tweak to solve it?
any one????? seems to be only i have this crap or what???
actually this crap only on Froyo roms. I've tried GB roms and there is a bit different menu and its NOT lagging, but personalization menu still laging when scroll down to the end of page!
People say something!!!!!!!!! Have some one this issue or its just me?
in froyo builds this is normal.to avoid this always control applications running at background with taskkillers (i use android assistant for this). i also use 128mb swap partition(knowing that may destroy my sd-card).and sometimes i overclock up to 1.2 ghz.
Also, if you wait for a bit until everything in the menu is loaded, it'll be gone next time you use the same menu. unless you've rebooted, or used some heavy apps before using the menus again.
ok, thanks a lot ! I've just installed htc desire rom from DFT and actually menu sroll lag still exist but much more less! Seems to be its a lack of LEO hardware and may be lack of some libs in desire's roms.
Hy guys.
running vegacomb 8.1 ATM moment and all has been wicked but just recently there has been a delay when minimising things like the web browser or email, when I hit minimise it goes but the 'desktop is left blank for about a second where before it was inwtantly filled with my apps etc. Also I have the browser short cut and that takes even longer to come back to life.
what could have changed this? What can I run on my Vega to see what might be slowing it down?
Will upgrade to 9 once all the bugs are fixed so if no one can help its not the end of the world.
cheers
I have noticed this "home" lag since vegacomb build 5, it is still there with build 9. Hopefully will be fixed in future updates. Build 9 is working great for me, the lag in the browser shortcut widget reloading is faster than 8.1.
Peace.
Cheers mate
I noticed the same issues. however i use Adnroid assist and disabled some of the apps and services I had ( Mobile network service which i dont use ) .
Then i excluded some of the processes I wanted to run and used the widget to clean up after running some apps occasisonaly. I have noticed it works smoothly now.
I have seen the same issue on Asus Transformer which I had before and I was gutted because it had 1GB RAM and I was expecting it performs better. Maybe it is OS related
Cheers Bennz, once i get my vega working again will give this a shot!
No worries , let me know if you need more info on this.
I am hoping for a kernal with reduced GPU RAM which gives us more RAM for most usage. It is useful for people who are not big on high graphic gaming on their Vegas.
Cheers fella.... Is the app called android assistant and what things did you disable then?
Will try this out later today, thanks for your help mate.
After you have installed it you can go through the startup manager section and disable some user and systems services which you "know" is not useful always. Make sure you dont disable services which you are unsure .
under the process section , if you long press on certain processes it will open a list of options, You can ignore those system and critical processes and close the rest.
Remember some of the system/app processes will restart again if you close them, so better leave those running. After you have a go at it for few mins you get to know whats the best way you can take the options to your advantage
Then you can use the widget to close processes that are not required.
Thanks once again, hoping to sort vega out tomo so will give this a shot!
Hello there , I am using ParanoidAndroid 2.0 JB .
I am relly frustrated by UI lagging because of low memory.
As I see Jelly Bean requiers lots of RAM and our defy only shows 477 MB RAM available.
When I first started my mobile it shows me over 200 MB RAM free available. At that time O.S runs as smoothly as butter.
But as the time passes it RAM consumption is gonna more and more and it slows mobile besides application goes well but takes a time for loading.
I enable options like 16 bit transperency and purging of assets but that didn't help.
Is anyone have solution for this.
I am using GoLauncher Ex ( Task Manager)
Try limiting background processes via Dev tools
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium
also you could use HWA settings to disable what apps use HWA
I done all this like untick all apps from HWA and limiting process but still it doesn't effect.
As I say before after some while the system uses more RAM. The effect of this can be clearly seen when
1. when I switch between windows
2. At the time of opening application ( As it takes long time to open)
sometimes system uses so much RAM that it even reboot.
I also use V6 superscript but it didn't effect.
Me too having this problem but rarely. Using NQ Android booster to overcome the problem. Heard Defy RAM isn't quite capable of running JB so well. Not sure if that's true. But I think its because the ROM is still under development and hence got to wait for updates to have smoother versions.
P.S. : Does anyone have problem with 2G signal after reboot? My Defy isn't catching signal after each reboot. I'm toggling flight mode for some time to get back the signal.
Disable apps with HWA = More free ram.
Also uses back button to kill app you are running.

Done that too ... but that didn't help either...
Moved to Q&A. Please post all questions there, thanks.
Hi All
I have an SM-N900 (exynos variant) running 4.4.2 XXUDNB2.
I am usually never bothered about the RAM usage even if it shows very high value regularly. While typing this msg I checked and it was 2.37 out of 2.66. I trust android itself to do the necessary memory management !!!
What I have been seeing recently is this :
Dolphin is trying to load a page... maybe lots of pic nd all.... while doing this if I try to bring down the notification bar, ir does come down but gets stuck on the way.... similarly if I try to scroll the page it gets stuck while doing it.... essentially it is not at all smooth...
Now, if I just launch the task manager, clear some memory and retry, everything works smoothly...
The Note 3 is supposed to be a beast.... when the beast stutters in front of my friends its rather annoying/embarrassing at times !!!
Anyone seeing something similar ?

Well just remeber that your phone its like a pc, if your running several apps on the background the system will run of memory for other apps, its try android manage memory and all but if it doesnt have free memory to load up an app, it will close some to free ram and that will cause lag on the phone, my recomendation is to look on the running apps tab and check witch apps at runing and close/froze the ones that u dont use to clear up some ram, im usually at 600 free ram all the time, if i clear ram i get almost 1gb free. so you should check what apps are messing with you.
