[Help] Knox Friendly Root? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone can tell when a working Knox friendly root will be available for Galaxy S5?
If it is there for Note 3 Android 4.4 then it would be available for S5.
Any news about it?

I'm pretty sure that can only be achieved with an exploit.
So nobody knows if there is one now.
You can't just say that just because the Note 3 had an exploit, the S5 would have one too

I seen in the forum that Note 3's Android 4.4 has no Knox friendly exploit yet.

[Q] Is it esasy to root GN3?

Question is in the title.
With all this Knox security nonsense baked into Samsung Android devices from now on, I wonder how much harder it's going to be to unlock and root the Note 3.
it does not make it any harder...only makes you loose the warranty easier

you just randomly decided to ask this question? rooting the note 3 is the same process as rooting other Sammy phones....if you would have looked in the root threads that are posted in the dev section you would have figured that out it took me like a min to root my phone and i dont think it gets simpler than that
PS- knox doesnt really affect anything, i dont get why ppl are so scared of it.. there is even a root method that doesnt trip the binary counter.....

[Q] Root wihtout KnoX tripping (Vulnerability: memeda, wushi)

Interesting development in the S6/Edge section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/root-pingpongroot-s6-root-tool-t3103016
Does any developer her has a idea if this vulnerability exist in the Exynos Note 4 too? Could be from what I understand its a general Lollipop vulnerability but then again I'm no code junkie

Hmmmm after reading a little more it's a Arm64 vulnerability so of no use on Note 4
topic can be closed or removed
They have also mentioned:
Q: Note4/Z3/Old Samsung/etc?
A: We also wrote the rooting engine in KingRoot 4.0 for generic 32-bit devices. Give it a try. Note that for some devices like Note4, only temp root is achievable.
Good to know, temp root can be handy sometimes, is this temp root achieved without blowing Knox fuse?
a temp root with knox 0x0 could be nice! at least for a titanium backup sometimes...
Same for this one, any more info on this?
Have other people tried this?
If so, on what model and Android version?
Kind regards, Stefan.

Honestly I have not seen 1 confirmation that there would be a temp or permanent root exploit for the Note 4 without blowing the Knox fuse. If there was it would probably be all over the forum. So it's hard to believe tbh
Any news? This temp-root trip knox on N910F with 5.0.1^
Hi guys. Is there even a temporary root for 5.1.1 without tripping Knox?

Need Help to Root My Verizon note 3

Hello! i tried all to root my device! but nothing works! someone knows whats happen?

I am guessing that development for the Note 3 is all but dead now that they have the Note 5 and the new Nexus phones out, and that really sucks for those of us that love the Note 3 and are stuck with Lollipop. I really hope that some dev out here will still work on the Note 3 and find a way for us to get root.
Yep pretty much the case no root no hope hell note 4 is looking pretty grim too.

Because this is the Verizon version. The bootloader is locked and can not be unlocked.
As far as I can find...there is no root method for the Verizon Note 4 or Note 5.

Root is over for this device. If you buy this version of the Note with 4.4.4 & up you will lose any ability to root, permanently. If it's that important to you search on Swappa or Fleabay for a model that has 4.4.2 or lower OS.
There really should be a sticky note with this headline as it seems this question keeps getting asked. I think some hope the more the question gets asked, sooner or later the answer will change.
im on nc4 (4.4.2)
i didnt know there was a android 5 out.
if i want to manually update from 4.4.2 rooted to 4.4.4 where do i get the verizon 4.4.4 tar at?

I don't have the links on hand. No root on pie.
It will not trigger Knox. If you got s8+ threads you can find it there. There is no rush. The method is some what difficult. So a lot of reading.
Also any us device s8 plus or notes. That are rooted are limited by Samsung to only charge to 80%.

Yea it's limited by Samsung. We where getting better battery life from 80 than unrooted with 100. I got a hack method to get 100% nearly in the s8 general threads somewhere. Other than nothing can be done about it.
